We really enjoyed our stay. Owners were very quick to respond when we needed something. Location to Asheville was very convenient, and the cabin had a cozy, homey feel. Great home!

Great rustic family cabin

Wonderful cabin in the woods outside Asheville. The owners were super nice and helpful. Only downside was it’s quite dark, but you’re in the middle of the woods, so I guess expected, and the water temperature is hard to control. Otherwise , the owners did everything to make us comfortable and the hot tub was great. Many great family memories during our stay there.

Wonderful mountain retreat

What a wonderful week we spent in this spacious and comfy cabin. Everything we needed was there (even for our 4 legged friend), great WiFi connection and the welcome bottle of wine was a sweet surprise. The owners communication is amazing. Great location - short drives to all activities around Asheville like Lake Lure, Chimney Rock State Park, white water rafting, sliding rock and many more.

Super Nice and Convenient Cabin!

My family enjoyed our recent stay at this wonderful cabin. We have 2 teenage children so the parents slept in the loft. Our daughter enjoyed the reading space in the loft and our son enjoyed having multiple places to sit and relax. Both enjoyed the hot tub. Everything we needed was provided and it was a memorable stay. The cabin was convenient to the Parkway, the Biltmore, and all the shopping that the boys could tolerate.

Highly recommended

Just returned from a week stay in Asheville. The cabin suited our stay perfectly. The large deck on the back porch was great for relaxing after enjoying one of the many hikes Asheville has to offer. Our dogs were welcome, which added to our enjoyment. The cabin has convenient access to Asheville. The owner was friendly and responded timely to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend to friends. Doug

Delightful stay in the Mountains!!

Upon arrival to the Rustic Cabin along with my 5 other girlfriends, we felt immediately welcome in this magical place in the woods. Both decks became our hangout to enjoy the sounds, smell of the woods and many laughing moments. The beds were so comfortable and I really enjoyed the upstairs loft bedroom with reading nook with a wonderful selection of books. The inside of the house was clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. We all look forward to coming back to stay. Thank you

Just wonderful!

Me and 5 of my closest friends stayed here for 4 days and it was just wonderful! We needed something that was pet friendly as well as accommodated everyone. The drive is about 20 min to downtown which was very easy. The road to the cottage is a bit "curvey" so if you come in the winter and aren't use to driving in snowy conditions I would advise to use caution. The hot tub was great and very appropriate after walking around all day. The cabin was spacious and clean and the beds were super comfortable. We would definitely go back!

Buffalo Trail Cabin

This was my family's first visit to Asheville and we had a wonderful time! We have 3 children (ages 6,7,9) and a small dog, and we loved this cabin. It was picturesque, clean, and so welcoming...the welcome note, candle, and bottle of wine were sweet, extra touches. The library is impressive and the cabin was nicely stocked with toilet paper, dish soap, etc. The owners were easy to contact and we felt very lucky to have been able to use their home for a week. The cabin is so centrally located to downtown, Biltmore, white water rafting, Blue Ridge Parkway, zip lining and more...we would love to stay again.

Perfect Asheville Mountain Home!!!

My family and I recently had the great pleasure of staying at the DiBartolo's house in Riceville (perfect, easy location; 15 minutes from Asheville). When we arrived, not only did we find a beautifully situated house, the owners left us a bottle of Biltmore wine and a wonderful welcome note! My youngest daughter LOVED the loft bedroom and the other two were equally comfortable. There was great water pressure (which is important to the hubby), nice laundering facilities and a great kitchen. We all loved the hot tub out on the deck. It was lovely to sit out and look up to count the fireflies on our beautiful evenings there. I would highly recommend this rental! Great home, great owners!!!

Excellent Vacation Retreat!!

We had a wonderful week stay at this beautiful home. It is spacious, comfortable, well maintained and is tastefully decorated. The house has all the amenities and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. We loved the decks and the spa was the perfect place to relax at the end of the day. Having a fenced in area for our dogs was a real bonus as was the dog park located 10-12 minutes away. The owners were very accommodating and helpful and we enjoyed the Biltmore Wine and nice card they left for us. We appreciated the Welcome Book about the house, restaurant information, things to do and instructions about the spa and fireplace. It's a short 15 minute drive to downtown Asheville and only 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Highway, the location is perfect! We highly recommend this lovely home in the mountains and plan on returning next year. Thank-you Birgit and Tony!

Cozy winter cabin close to Asheville

We stayed here for one week when it was very cold in NC, but the cabin was warm and cozy. We enjoyed a fire in the wood stove (plenty of firewood and fire-starter is provided) while sitting at the big table with our coffee looking out at the trees and mountains in the distance. The cabin is equipped with a landline phone, wifi, and a big tv with all the cable channels, so we felt very safe, entertained, and not lacking anything. We especially enjoyed the loft bedroom, which is like sleeping in a tree house with all the windows. The beds are comfortable with thick comforters, nice towels in the two baths, and it's very clean. We liked the big leather sofas for watching tv. It is convenient to shopping, groceries and good restaurants nearby, though it is not a difficult drive into Asheville. For nearby activities, we recommend the Folk Art Center, which is off the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Nature Center, which is a zoo with local wildlife. The owners are very nice and easy to deal with. We recommend this house for anyone visiting the Asheville area.

Mountain Getaway

We stayed at this cabin over Presidents day/Valentines Day weekend. It was so comfortable and well-equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed the buckstove fireplace and the wood was furnished for us. We loved the windows and views! It snowed one night and we were fearful that the driveway would be iced over the next morning and we wouldn't be able to get out( since the driveway is very steep) but that didn't happen. The owners were so nice and accomodatiing. They allowed us to check in when we arrived(before checkin time) and left us a very welcoming note with a bottle of Biltmore wine. The yard was fenced in for our family pets. (Great!) We enjoyed the hot tub on the one night that the wind was not blowing and it was not snowing! This is definitely a place we would stay again when we visit Asheville again. Short drive to everything. Thanks again! Terry Harper Milledgeville GA

Property is nice ... but,

DO NOT bring a motorcycle here, and if not in okay physical condition, this one may not be for you. The parking area has no level parts, the approach is crazy steep (wet when we arrived and lost traction going up to the very small parking zone). We are seasoned motorcycle riders, but not willing to accommodate the risk of approaching the parking, so lost a week of rent for having to go somewhere else. We informed the owner that a motorcycle on trailer would accompany us ... she did NOT inform us of the conditions we would encounter. If you consider this property for a stay ... ask a lot of questions.

The PERFECT Property! No reason to go gem mining, you've found it here!!!

When my husband and I decided to spend our vacation in Asheville, I did a huge amount of homework looking for the right property because we had a very poor experience once before with a rental not meeting the expectations set forth in the description. The photos in the listing looked beautiful, but we had a few questions. Within 30 minutes of submitting our questions, we had an answer from Birgit. The overall impression was a good one, so we booked. To say that we were pleased when we arrived would be an understatement. This property was everything we had hoped for and SO much more! The location is PRIME!!! Although you feel like you have your own little piece of the woods, you are in a gorgeous little neighborhood on Buffalo Mountain. You are 15 minutes to a main highway to take you anywhere you need to go, you are 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from the Asheville Mall and the Whole Foods market and 20 minutes to the Biltmore Village. The cabin itself is beautiful, cozy and meticulously stocked and maintained. From the minute that we entered to find a lovely note and a bottle of chardonnay welcoming us for our stay, we knew that we had made the right decision. The cabin was decorated to make it feel warm and inviting in every room. From the chalkboard on the kitchen wall with a handwritten welcome note, to candles in every room for nighttime ambiance, to the firefly twinkle lights in the upstairs "treehouse" bedroom, there was nothing overlooked. The entertainment center in the living room is stocked with dozens of movies and provided us quite a few nights of good viewing, the hot tub on the porch is fantastic and immaculately clean; there is even a closet full of board games. My only suggestion would be to maybe think about adding a small wall mounted tv in the ground level bedroom with the king sized bed. There is a tv in the upstairs bedroom (which seems to be intended as the master, but there is only room for a queen sized bed here, so we stayed downstairs.) Beyond that though, there is not a single thing that I would do differently. This truly felt like our home away from home. We are already looking at our calendar to book for next year. Thank you Birgit for making this one of the most unforgettable vacations that we have ever taken!!!

Asheville cabin

Excellent location, good kitchen, prep and beds. Peaceful wooded neighborhood. Concern, downstairs bathroom plumbing backed up immediately and needs cleaning out. Trees on property need vines cut back at base, they are killing the trees which provide shade and privacy.

Awesome Asheville!!

We had a party of 6 people and the property was spot on and in a very relaxing area. Quiet and a great deck to have morning coffee on. The only thing to consider is the driveway is very steep and if you have more than three cars parking could be difficult.

Mountain Retreat

We loved this little cabin in the mountains! It worked perfectly for our group of 5 (2 couples and one baby). The location was great - remote enough to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains, but still only a 15-20 minute drive to all that Asheville has to offer. It was great coming home from a day of hiking or exploring the city to soak in the hot tub and enjoy the large deck. We had one minor issue with setting off the water sensors, but the host got back to me fairly quickly and it was an easy enough problem to resolve. All in all a great spot and we would happily stay again!
