A genuine Swedish forest cottage (torp) on a very sunny hill

A charming woodland cottage dating from 1880, perfect for anyone looking for peace, nature and genuine seclusion. The house sits on a small hill surrounded by forest, with open space around it and approximately 600 metres to the nearest neighbour. There is complete privacy and no passing traffic – just the forest, birds and nature right outside the door.

The cottage is approximately 100 m², arranged over two floors, with three bedrooms and a total of seven beds. It has been carefully preserved and renovated in a traditional style, with the aim of retaining the character of an old Swedish country cottage. You will therefore find patina, traditional materials and the little quirks that naturally come with a house dating from 1880. This is a place for those who appreciate genuine old-world charm rather than the feel of a modern hotel.

The forest begins right outside the house, with numerous small roads and trails to explore on foot. In autumn, chanterelles literally grow along the driveway, while in spring the slopes around the cottage are covered with wild daffodils. During the lighter months the property enjoys plenty of sunshine, and on clear summer days the grounds receive sun for most of the day.

### Lakes, swimming and fishing

Several of our photos were taken at lakes in the surrounding area, but please note that **the cottage itself is not located directly beside a lake**.

The nearest small woodland lake is about 400 metres from the cottage, but it is not suitable for swimming. The nearest good swimming lake is approximately 1.5 kilometres away – a wonderfully beautiful little lake surrounded by nature. You can walk there through the forest or drive there in about five minutes. Despite its beautiful setting, it is quite common to have the entire lake to yourself.

There are also several opportunities for fishing nearby. Fishing permits can be purchased for Stora Galtasjön, among other lakes. It is also a beautiful place for swimming and has a small picnic area.

### Horse riding

For those who would like to explore the countryside on horseback, trail riding is available. We cooperate with a local stable approximately ten minutes away by car.

### Laundry

There is no washing machine in the cottage itself. If needed, you are welcome to use the washing machine at our other property, approximately ten minutes away by car. This property is also in a beautiful rural setting directly beside a lake, so while waiting for your laundry you can go for a swim or simply relax by the water.

Above all, this is a place for those who want to get away from neighbours, traffic and the stresses of everyday life and instead enjoy the forest, silence and nature all around them.
