Peaceful & Private Apartment with Patio

Summary:
Perfect for traveling professionals! This light-filled apartment is available for 30-night minimum rentals. The property is located in the Cannonborough-Elliotborough neighborhood, just one block from King Street. This studio is a private hideaway, tucked away from the main street. The patio is spacious with a table for two where you can sit and enjoy your privacy.

Please note this unit is handicap inaccessible.

The Space:
Located at the back of the property, you will go up a small set of stairs before proceeding down another small set of stairs to access the entry and the private outdoor patio. The kitchenette includes a full size fridge, toaster oven, microwave, pots & pans, dinnerware, basic cooking tools, and a stove top with two burners. There is no traditional oven or dishwasher. The private bathroom is right off of the bedroom. There is 1 off-street parking space included. Our parking spaces have a vehicle restriction of 8 feet wide, and 18 feet long.

VRBO is a re-seller, not our website. We list openings not already booked on our site here and on other booking portals that re-sell available nights at a higher rate to cover their surcharges & booking fees. What you get for this premium: You get an easy to use mobile platform and a quality assurance guarantee from VRBO that we as a management company will deliver the property as advertised.

Personally, we use VRBO when traveling to remote areas that do not have strong locally based property management companies and have had good luck with it. We are happy to have our homes available on this site.

This is a private rental and guests have access to the entire space.

The property is located in the Cannonborough Elliotborough neighborhood of Downtown Charleston, which is considered the most upcoming area on the peninsula. The neighborhood is perfect for a couple or a group who is looking to fully embrace Charleston's unique charm. Step right outside your door and find a wonderfully curated mix of shops, bars, bakeries, and dining. We recommend grabbing a coffee at Island Provisions before exploring King Street, Charleston's ultimate epicenter of shops and restaurants, which is just one short block from the property. Our guests have a wide selection of walkable dinner options, some of our favorites include Chez Nous, Chubby Fish, Bistronomy by Nico, and Vern's. Come experience all that our beautiful city has to offer!

Getting Around:
Charleston is a walking city! Uber is widely available. If guests do have a car, we provide ONE (1) off-street parking space. We suggest to bring an economy size vehicle to help with getting around Charleston's narrow downtown streets.

Property was as advertised. Very small but suited us just fine. Bathroom is tiny and only door in the studio. Double bed but comfy. Allowed us to check in early as we were attending a wedding and needed to get ready which was very nice. Great communication. Great location and off street parking.

Needs better description
Let me start by saying this is not a bad place no stay. I’d recommend it! However, we feel that the description needs quite a bit of updating. We have communicated this with the owner already, and they responded with kindness and professionalism, but I’ll outline some of the things we wish we had known prior to booking in case the listing doesn’t get updated. -There is convenient parking, however it is not right outside the unit…it’s at the house next door. So you have to walk through a parking lot, around a house, and then at your car. Had we known this prior, we may have chosen to pack in smaller/lighter bags. We didn’t know we’d be carrying them so far. They do have a YouTube video that shows exactly where your parking is in relation to your unit. I’d suggest asking to view it before booking. -the listing (at the time of this review) says that you just walk down a flight of stairs and arrive at your private unit. You actually walk from your car, down an alley, up a flight of stairs, and then down the stairs to the unit. The stairs are not super even…my mom and I tripped up them 3 times each. We are active and generally coordinated -the bathroom is listed as “petite”, and that is quite generous. The bathroom is TINY. The sink is a half sink, and the stand up shower is much smaller than your standard closet shower. There are no shelves or counter space either. Everything must be kept outside of the bathroom. We personally don’t love that all towels hang over the toilet, but we understand that’s a preference and they’re just doing what they can with the space they have. - the extra sleeping space wasn’t super well defined. It’s a fold down futon and it’s extremely uncomfortable. It is definitely not meant for 2 people. I’m 5’9” and I just fit. I woke up a few times with my feet hanging off the corner. There are several bars that aren’t padded either. They kindly provided a mattress pad when I mentioned this, but it unfortunately didn’t do anything. I slept on a line of pillows to try and help. I’d suggest bringing an air mattress instead. - there really isn’t room to put your stuff. Everything had to be kept in our bags. This could be an easy fix on their part…maybe some hooks scattered and some shelving added. So…I don’t want to discourage anyone from booking. It was clean and in a great location. We were able to walk to pretty much everything. I personally wouldn’t book for 4 people, or if elderly are in your party.

Convenient Location
Unique and quaint property -- very convenient to restaurants and shops. So much more charming than a regular hotel room downtown Charleston. This is our second stay at CHC and it will not be our last! Great place!

This is, as the pictures and description indicate, a small unit. Really best for one or two people. Still, it was adequate and clean. The location and price make it a great find. Parking for one car on site. It had a kind of European feel to it. My adult daughter and I stayed here and it worked for us just fine. If tou are a larger person you might want more space. Bathroom is a bit tight.
