About this property
Historic District: 2BR/2BA w/ Parking, Near the Battery & Colonial Lake
Tucked away South of Broad, on one of Downtown Charleston's most famous streets, you will find a unique, historic house that has been converted into two modern apartments with thoughtful, historic touches. This first-floor apartment provides 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (one with a luxurious, jetted tub) with hardwood floors, and an open concept living/dining/kitchen area.
You will be surprised and delighted with the special touches and updates within. From "better than hotel" bedding to a fully equipped kitchen, you will find all of the comforts of home.
You will also love being South of Broad on the "carriage tour circuit", with the Battery, Colonial Lake, and the Horse Lot about three blocks away, but far enough from the throngs of tourists to feel like a local. Plus, you will have restaurants, shopping, and everything else Downtown living has to offer nearby.
Every day is an adventure! From outdoors enthusiasts to foodies, there is something for everyone! Enjoy a day of tennis, golfing, boating, beaching, touring historic homes, or just cycling around.
After enjoying the day, head home and change for dinner (Charlestonians love to dress up!). From here you can walk over to Costa, one of Charleston's hottest new restaurants for coastal Italian fare. Or make a right on Broad Street to find local favorites Sorrelle, Circa 1886, and Fast and French nearby.
Bonus: you have off-street parking for your car and street parking for guests.
Please note, this is a monthly rental only. The City of Charleston has a draconian ordinance that only allows properties on the National Register of Historic Places to have nightly rental permits in our neighborhood. But at this price, you can book a month for the cost of two weeks in the party district - just stay as many nights as you need!

Why they chose this property
South of Broad is "the" place to live in Charleston. I love being surrounded by gorgeous homes, kind neighbors, and in close proximity to the Battery and Colonial Lake.
The neighborhood is mainly residential with a corner store, a cafe, a gym, and a few restaurants close by. If you are looking for a party, nightclub atmosphere, then we encourage you to check out upper King Street. If you are looking to experience Charleston like a local, this just might be the place for you!

What makes this property unique
This first floor apartment is comfortable and well appointed. There are hardwood floors in the majority of the apartment with marble and tile in the bathrooms. We love the jetted tub and roomy shower in the large bathroom!
Oh, and you have free, off-street parking. A big deal in this part of town.
The location cannot be beat, you are nestled in the heart of historic Charleston in the "high rent district" known as South of Broad. You are off the beaten path, away from the mobs in the tourist district, but you are still in the midst of historic downtown and an easy roll or stroll from all that Charleston has to offer.
You are just a few blocks from the Battery, Colonial Lake, and Moultrie Park. Single family homes in our neighborhood sell between $1.5 and $15 million.
