About this property

Hot tub, Kayaks, fishing & Ocean Front Cottage!

Overlooking the Petit de Grat Harbour, and 20 minutes off the 104 cabot trail route, this century old Acadian home maintains it’s rustic charm taking you back to a simpler time, with a modern twist. Experience what the island has to offer. Fish off the wharf, clam dig, pick berries ,kayak; you won’t be disappointed with this once in a lifetime experience. This experience includes great wifi, BBQ ,washer & dryer, linens and most condiments! We provide, free of charge, 4 kayaks! And enjoy our newest addition, a hot tub with a view!

This home, once belonging to my grand mother , is a 200 year old fisherman’s home that overlooks the Petit de Grat Harbour. One bedroom is located on the main floor with 3 bedrooms located on the top floor. Walk to the library. Fish off the wharf. Read a book. Relax!

This is a very rustic home, with many items , antiques, paintings and trinkets that once belonged to my grand mother. Other then leather sofas and internet, there is nothing modern about this home. The floors are a combination of tiles and linoleum. The bathroom is pink! The towels don’t match. However you'll love the comfort and you’ll find lots of hidden charm, memories, and things that possibly remind you of your own grand mother ! And the view is priceless. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

About the host

Hosted by shelley leblanc

Host profile image
We presently live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, during the winter , and love spending as much time as we can in Cape Breton during the summer. I teach , and my husband Julian is in construction (and proud contestant of the Great Canadian Baking Show- season1) We're raising pretty awesome twins. Our hosting began in Cape Breton in 2018 and we’ve recently added properties in Halifax.

Why they chose this property

We do not utilize this property during the whole summer and often spend our time in Cape Breton staying in our trailer. We've made our Cape-Breton home available for others to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

The view is incredible.
The stars at night are the brightest.
Fish mackerel right off the wharf (we provide the gear)
