Nice surprise! Spacious, Clean!A very thoughtful host who provided everything we needed to ensure a pleasurable vacation experience!Would not hesitate for a moment to return again.
This property is in a great location. A very short walk to Castaways bar/restaurant at the end of the road and a short drive into Tomahawk. Yet you are on the water and a big yard for family fun. Exceptionally clean compared to other properties I have recently stayed.
Loved this property. Modern, clean, big porch with outdoor patio set and swing. Fenced in area for the dog right out the back door. Lots of shoreline for the kids to fish. Already booked for next year.

Thanks for staying! Glad you are coming back again.
The property is right on the water with a great view. It's on a quiet road but just minutes from everything in town. The deck was spacious and relaxing first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were spacious and had open concept. We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back.

Communication was a problem. Owner ignored emails.
Property was great. Rates are all over the place. Tomahawk Isn't the Sturgis bike rally!

Sorry you had problems. Because of coved there wasn't a Fall Ride in Tomahawk in 2019. All events were canceled by the city. Thank you for taking the time and getting back to us.
We had so much fun! It was spacious, SO CLEAN and had just about everything we needed. I was able to cook breakfast for our family each day and there is plenty of local delicious eats! We did a little downtown shopping and found some good finds too! If you’re looking for Tomahawk souvenirs, Standard Mercantile Co, and the Olde Towne Mall, were hits! We were also able to rent a pontoon boat and a speed boat, which were easy to dock on the private dock provided. The lake is very large and not too busy at all and we had plenty of space to fish, swim and do some tubbing without any issues. The full deck had a nice tall table with high chairs. It was perfect to sit and enjoy the peaceful lake, just steps away. Our dog enjoyed the shallows of the shore with his toys! We had a hard time keeping him out of the water! So much fun! The only things we felt were missing was a plunger and bath soaps. Which were easy to pick up at Trigs, about a 5 min drive into town. Thank You Jackie and Bob, for offering our family the perfect retreat from the busy hustle and bustle of life in the suburbs!! Our 16, 14 and 9 year old said it was more fun than Disney! 🤣🤣
We will definitely be coming back!!

Thank you so much for your kind review. We’re so glad that your family enjoyed their stay in the Northwoods. Tomahawk really is a little gem. Our downtown is amazing. You did such a great job leaving the place the way you found it and start in the laundry was so much appreciated it really helps us get it ready for the next renter which can be a struggle with timing
The property was great. Plenty of room. In great condition.
Nice and largeTV with plenty of stations. Comfy beds and furniture.
Could have used some shelves or something. In the one bedroom there was no where to unpack our clothes, No mirror in that bedroom either. All in all I rate it excellent,

Teresa, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our Lake Mohawksin Shores Lower Unit. We thank your for your suggestions and will take appropriate actions.
We were very happy with realizing how shallow the water was right off the dock. Our 3 year old grandson enjoyed being able to jump off the dock right into the water. Our unit was so clean and made for an enjoyable stay. A few items we would have liked would have been a Welcome Book and also some microwavable casserole dishes with covers.

Just okay
The property itself is nice: clean, well-appointed, great porch and yard, open floor-plan.
Communication with the manager was terrible: emails without response, dropped calls, over-charging us for our stay, etc.
We had a great time in Tomahawk. We loved being on the water and having access to the lake all day long. We enjoyed fishing off the docks and were able to enjoy kayaking and SUP boarding whenever the lake looked good. Saw bald eagle flying over and fishing. Also brought our UTV and ATV along. We needed to trailer the vehicles to access the trails but it was well worth it to avoid approx 10 mile road from town to trail access. Stopped in at Ditch Diggers and Bucksnort Resort with great service and facilities at both! We also walked the short walk to the Happy Snapper up the road and enjoyed supper with a great view of the lake. Also recommend the Windmill Ice Cream place (a Small is more than enough!). The lower unit of the house was perfect for our family of 5, with 2 kiddos sharing a double bed. Everything was clean and inviting. We enjoyed having Netflix (we don’t have it at home). Also caught a ski show downtown. The location was very good with the only exception being the overnight noise from the mill across the lake and trains moving regularly, possibly to and from the mill. We definitely would visit again, it was a perfect up north lakeside getaway.

Thank you for the detailed review. Very helpful for people interested in the rental and area.
While the rental was very nice and clean, the listing is very misleading about the setting. They state in the listing that you have a beautiful view of the lake, what you actually have is a view of a giant paper mill that is not only loud and smelly, at night there are large, bright spotlights shining.
Very misleading, not worth the price if you are looking to enjoy a peaceful get away up north, you won't get that here!

The paper mill is far across the bay. We have had many bookings and this is the only people that have even mentioned it. It's a shame they let their focus on this one thing wreck their option of the positives of our property. It is a beautiful private lot close to town but yet very wooded. Close to shopping and bars/restaurants. You have a huge back bay to park boats and hang out. Nice level lot. New comfortable beds and bedding. Most all the conveyance of home are provided at the home. Well worth the price and we have had no problem or other complaints.
I am a Tomahawk area Real Estate agent with Northwoods Community Realty. My husband and I have 3 weekly rentals on Lake Mohawksin. Lake Mohawksin Lodge across from Outboards restaurant and a multi-unit on the other side of town.
