This was a wonderful place to stay as I was transitioning to live in Hawaii. So peaceful and lovely. Highly recommend for a short or long term stay. Very well appointed!
The place is comfortable, and just the right size for what we needed. Up on the hill, looking over the city, you can sit and relax, or take a short drive to the beach, and all the sites.

About the host
Hosted by Kila Puanani
We are fascinated by the size of the City, the kindness of the people, small but rich community in all ways.
Why they chose this property
Proximity to downtown and Waikiki, besides tourist attractions, provide the cultural and social attractions of the 12th largest city in the US. Opera, Symphony, Museums and of course restaurants ranging from the ever lasting traditional to the famed Pacific Rim cuisines. Also the heritage of the Monarchy is cherished in several palaces and sites. Also the colonial past, pineapple and sugar cane plantations, whaling, provide interesting outings at reasonable distance, within one hour drive. Pristine nature at the large Kualoa Ranch still bears and offers to explore the Jurassic Park movie locations. The only active vulcano is on the Big Island, reachable by plane with a one day excursion, worth the lunar experience.
What makes this property unique
The location actually is quite unique. Even 100 years ago this specific hill was chosen by the prominent families because of the proximity to downtown and the ideal climate, not as wet Manoa, not as dry as Kahala.
