Helpful Mountain Notes:
This home is located in a rural mountain rainforest, where weather, wildlife, power, internet, and cell service can vary. Please come prepared for changing mountain conditions, especially in winter. Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before arrival, with a few smaller local stops available along Mt. Baker Highway. Restaurants are limited and may have seasonal hours, so we recommend bringing provisions.
WiFi is provided, but Snowater currently uses DSL service that may range around 4–9 Mbps depending on usage and local conditions. Internet and power interruptions can happen in the mountains and are outside our control.
Luxury Getaways is required to register all vehicles staying on Snowater property. Guests will be asked to provide vehicle color, make, model, and license plate number before arrival so parking permits can be prepared.
Pack-n-play and highchair are available upon request.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole condo plus Snowater’s resort amenities.
The Neighborhood:
Snowater Resort is one of Glacier’s most loved mountain communities, tucked into 20 forested acres with 1,000 feet of glacier fed Nooksack River frontage. It offers the perfect mix of peaceful Northwest scenery and year round recreation, making it a favorite basecamp for Mt. Baker adventures.
Guests love the quiet, natural setting, with towering evergreens, river views, walking paths, and easy access to the scenic River Walk and nearby Horseshoe Bend Trail. After a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring the North Cascades, Snowater makes it easy to come back and relax.
The community features indoor pools, hot tubs, a sauna, fitness areas, game rooms, tennis and pickleball courts, sports courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, grassy playfields, and peaceful places to gather or unwind. Other Things to Note:
**Technology, Wi-Fi & Cell Service**
Snowater Condos currently have DSL internet, typically ranging between 1–5 Mbps depending on usage, weather, and service conditions. High speed fiber is expected in the future but is not currently available inside the condos.
Both Snowater clubhouses offer high speed Starlink internet, which can be a helpful option for guests who need stronger connectivity for remote work, video calls, streaming, or larger downloads.
The home includes free WiFi and a smart TV for streaming your own subscription channels. Cell service can be limited in Glacier and the surrounding mountain communities depending on your carrier. We recommend downloading driving directions, check in instructions, trail maps, and entertainment before arrival. Rural service interruptions are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for WiFi outages, speed, or service disruptions.
**Mountain Living, Wildlife, Weather & Local Area Notes**
This home is located in a lush mountain rainforest near the base of Mt. Baker, surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, wildlife, and changing mountain weather.
Because this is a rural mountain environment, we share the area with forest critters large and small, including ants, bats, mice, raccoons, bears, and bobcats. Please help protect the home and local wildlife by keeping doors closed, storing food indoors, and never leaving food, coolers, or garbage outside.
Mountain weather can change quickly. Please come prepared for rain, snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and changing road conditions. In winter, we strongly recommend a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, as roads and driveways can be challenging.
Power outages and regional service interruptions can happen due to storms, snow, wind, falling trees, or other mountain conditions. These situations are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for loss of power, internet, or weather-related conditions.
Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before heading up the mountain. Local markets and restaurants are limited and may have seasonal hours.
Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy the slower pace of mountain life.
