About the host
Hosted by Kevin and Susan Magner
Meet Kevin and Susan Magner. Susan, originally from West Seattle, has lived on this piece of heaven since 1968. Kevin, from Sacramento, came to Sequim in 1968. This year, 2024, they celebrated 50 years of marriage. With a passion for gardening and creating beautiful spaces, Susan and her husband Kevin have transformed what was once a horse and goat pasture into a beautiful serene setting with two houses and several interesting additional structures. Kevin and Susan are both retired from teaching. Kevin continues playing music part time at local venues. When she is not busy with volunteer work, Susan can always be found with her cats in her flowers in the garden.
Why they chose this property
Invited by her father who had just purchased two pieces of property outside sunny Sequim, Susan moved into a small rustic cabin on the property in 1968 to get out of the city, get back to the land, and "set her soul free." Except for a year and a half on the island of Maui, she has been here ever since, transforming the property inspired by her love of flowers and plants. As it states in the property description, The Pottery was originally just that: a pottery shop with small living quarters. It has since been transformed into a beautiful and artistic "stove wood" house.
What makes this property unique
This place is heavenly! You will see that the minute you step out of your vehicle and gaze at the variety of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, as well as the interesting and unique structures. It will invoke in you a deep breath and sense of relaxation.
