The Cabin at Lowell far exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect venue for our stay. It was immaculate! The hosts were friendly and welcoming. They made you feel at home. We were able to explore the property and spend time outside enjoying our time together. I highly recommend staying here--you won't regret it. We will definitely go back!
This cabin is an absolutely perfect escape. Beautiful setting, quiet, peaceful. The cabin itself is cozy, with all the modern conveniences with a woodsy cabin vibe. Mankato, MN is nearby for anything you may need. The cabin is able to comfortably house 8 people with plenty of room indoors and outdoors. We enjoyed an evening in front of the fire ring listening to the birds and wildlife. There is a lot to see and explore in the woods around the cabin. If the opportunity ever avails itself, our family would stay here again. We thank the hosts for all their work to make this the most enjoyable stay. Thank you.
This cabin is amazing! Hosts are very nice, friendly people and are very accommodating. The place is cozy, clean, uniquely decorated, with plenty of places around the property to explore . It's also stocked with plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. This is a repeat stay and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.
The most unique and beautiful rental! We loved every part of the house — it was spotless, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The wood features throughout, the fireplace, and the vintage signages gave us so much to admire. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the linens were perfectly clean. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our stay on the property. It was close to mankato and minneopa state park, and also offered solitude and a comforting cabin. The hosts are extremely thoughtful and provided a wonderful stay for our family.
Loved the cabin! The hosts thought of everything and they were so nice. It was quiet, the scenery was beautiful, the property was very well maintained. The wildlife was neat to see.
We absolutely loved our stay here! It’s private, spacious, and full of wildlife and scenery. Carl and Ann were wonderful hosts. We had everything we needed here! Close to Mankato and sites in that area.
Quiet rural setting. Enjoyed coffee on the screen porch watching the chickens. Beds were comfortable and the home itself was full of unique features. Would definitely recommend.
Our second stay was as amazing as our first! Super clean property, comfy beds, a kitchen full of tools for cooking, beautiful night skies, and the most friendly hosts. A great place to just hang out and explore or a starting point for exploring Mankato and other local towns. Definitely a vacation gem. We've previously not visited a rental more than once...until now. Highly recommend! We'll definitely go back!
Wonderful property. Quiet, many activities available and so much to see. If you are looking to accommodate several friends or family members near the Mankato area, this is it! Owners very friendly and respectful of your privacy during the stay.
Another fantastic stay! Absolutely love this place.

About the host
Hosted by Carl and Ann
We live just a few minutes from the cabin and are available for questions or conversation. Ann is a retired early childhood educator, and Carl is a retired general contractor. We enjoy spending time at our home, gardening, watching wildlife and feeding the birds.
Why they chose this property
Our property was plated to be a town in the mid 1800's - it was plated to be the town of Lowell. Thus, The Cabin at Lowell. This property is located on a dead-end road and is very private, quiet yet close to the main highway if you would like to explore the region. Beautiful scenery every season of the year.
