The property was an excellent choice to be our home station while we explored the surrounding area. The property had everything you needed to feel like a home away from home. Thank you Liz and Jon for a great stay.
Lovely condo, open floor plan. Fantastic host the was available at all times. Excellent location. Easy to get to all major areas in and around DC. Would recommend placing a few reflectors at the entrance as it is very dark and difficult to see drive way access at night.

Hi Nina. Thank you for the recommendation on the lights for the front part of the driveway. We will add! Liz
All new appliances, games for kids, comfy beds and couches, big dining room table, nice shower, and great hosts. This is a great place for families. We needed a place for a week . It was so nice we wish we could have stayed longer.

Thanks for staying w/us! The short path to the door is 3 steps from the driveway and is 3 feet across so “narrow” for a wheel chair or walkers. We host many senior citizens. The pathway is well lit, level and always clear of debris for those that are able to walk unassisted.
This property is just as it appears online. It has a lovely, recently redone kitchen and bath, and the bedrooms were clean and inviting. The only draw back (and the reason for 4 stars on cleanliness) was the musty smell when we came in- there is a dehumidifier but it seems that maybe it had not been running for long before we got there. This could be easily remedied by running it continuously. The hosts were very easy to work with. We would book again.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay Elizabeth and look forward to a return visit!
This amazing, glass and wood modern home features 12 foot ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and beautiful finishing. The place is up to date and smartly decorated…mostly with the help of DWR. You couldn’t ask for warmer hosts than Liz and John, who are always available but never intrusive. We had an extended stay while our home was undergoing water mitigation from a flood. My six year old daughter and I loved it, and our dogs loved it even more. It’s homey with something for everyone. We especially loved having the canal so close by for daily walks. The house is set back into a hillside which features a little enclave of similar modern homes. At night it feels like a secret wonderland. We highly recommend Liz and John’s place for anyone new to the area or needing an in town get away for a short or long day.
John and Liz opened up their lovely basement apartment to us for a long term stay while we worked on our own home renovations. The apartment has everything you need and more including lots of work space, exercise space, kitchen space and parking. The beds and sitting areas were incredibly comfortable and warm. We loved the decor and serene environment filled with lots of native landscaping and although the space is in the "basement" of the house there is an abundance of natural light. The location is great and it is easy to get around the DC area and having access to trails was a huge plus. John and Liz immediately were warm and welcoming as well as easy to communicate with for questions or concerns. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone needing a well-appointed, convenient apartment that still feels like home.
Great spot for a short or long term stay. Appreciated the high ceilings and fully stocked kitchen. Ability to bring our dog and two parking spots were a huge bonus. Liz and John were super responsive.
A beautiful property and the hosts were so helpful and accommodating to our family! The location is convenient as we were traveling between VA, MD, and DC daily.
I’m so glad that we selected this property for our trip to DC. Liz exceeds all expectations and her communication from start to finish was excellent. Great property, great location, and our kids loved it. Can’t wait to book again—if it is available!
Comfortable and spacious apartment — highly recommend!
This apartment is even more spacious and lovely than the pictures. Our family of 3 stayed for 2 weeks during our home renovation and it was the perfect home away from home. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, strong wifi, big windows with lots of natural light, beautiful surroundings, easy and helpful communication with the owner — a wonderful stay on all fronts.
We stayed here for 7 days! The pictures are accurate, beautiful apartment! Liz and John were incredibly nice and helpful! Very safe area.
Keep in mind, this is a downstairs apartment so you will hear some foot traffic upstairs but not too bad, they were not loud.
This charming apartment is very close to DC and all major attractions, you are out of the city but not too far out. Coffee shops, restaurants & grocery stores were within 2 miles of the home.
***The Kitchen*** this is a fully stocked kitchen! Pots, pans, utensils, plates, mugs, cups, coffee maker/grinder/Press. We have stayed at many VRBO's, this was the best stocked kitchen we have had! The eating space was large as well.
My family really enjoyed this home and would highly recommend it. We would stay again!
We traveled to DC to meet our first grandson and stayed at this wonderful home in Bethesda on the Potomac. We were only a few minutes away from downtown DC but were nestled amidst greenery and seclusion. Minutes away from the bike trail along the Potomac and a wonderful restaurant, the Irish Inn, just up the road. John and Liz were great hosts, very communicative but not intrusive. Our rental was perfect for us and our puppy. We are so happy to have found this peaceful retreat so close to DC.
We had a great 2 week stay at this comfortable and modern space, perfect for a couple. Everything is up to date, well supplied and Liz and John were very helpful hosts. Across the street from the C&O canal towpath - handy for walking and biking.. A great location!
We had a wonderful time at John and Liz's home! They were always responsive and hospitable, and the apartment was great. We quarantined for a week before joining with family, and there was plenty of space to feel comfortable and nooks for working. All the amenities were terrific and the kitchen easy to navigate. We also enjoyed the grounds, particularly the goldfish in the pond. Getting to use the bikes was an excellent perk! Easy bike path access from the house means that you can bike along the Potomac River to Georgetown and the National Mall within 30-45 minutes. Hiking along the river is right down the road as well. We would definitely stay there again!
John and Liz could not have been more hospitable. Great location , beautiful apartment and so pet friendly. I worked much of my time there and internet connections with my work server worked fabulously and great working area as well
So enjoyed our stay HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
