We found the apartment to be superficially clean, but poorly maintained with stained/damaged flooring and walls, aging furniture inappropriate for the size of the rooms and a poorly provisioned kitchen lacking even dishtowels. There was neither a cleaning service there nor were cleaning supplies provided. The washing machine was clearly moldy (with a strong smell); upon inspection we found that the door seal on washing machine is black and the floor of the washing machine was slimy. The dryer was ineffective as well. Other specific concerns: (1) the front door must be slammed for latch to secure(2) the balcony door also does not close properly and the latch is challenging to secure(3) There was a hole in the carpet in the 2nd bedroom and the flooring in the kitchen is warped.(4) Furniture in the living room is stained and appears to have seen better days; it is also too big for the tiny dining room tabled wedged into the back of the living room.(5) A light bulb in the living room was improperly installed.(6) Blinds on the balcony doors are damaged - possibly related to difficulty of closing the door.(7) There is a missing shelf in the refrigerator.(8) Several door stops are missing.(9) The painting job is of exceptionally poor quality and the walls are in poor condition - nearly all the walls are marked up and visually you can see all of the areas where the last paint job was grossly incompetent. (10) Even the couch throw pillows are damaged!
