About this property
1890's Cabin With Modern Conveniences on a Beautiful Lake !
Come enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge with your stay at The Treehouse Cabin in Saluda. EXTENDED STAYS PREFFERRED AND DISCOUNTED. This 1890s cabin sits at 2,100 feet above the private lake community of Lake Hosea. The fully screened wrap around porch is a great way to relax after your day of adventure, shopping, or just hanging out at the lake. The quaint town of Saluda is less than 3 miles down the mountain with numerous restaurants and shops. Although you will feel like you are away from everything, the cabin is equipped with WiFi and a Roku TV to keep you and your family dialed in and entertained. Central heat and air is provided by multiple mini splits. Please note: the internet is DSL. I have never had a problem with internet use as well as streaming channels. I am a chord cutter, I do not have cable. Yet streaming can be slow. The Treehouse was built in the 1890s and has a rich history. Updated with modern conveniences the home includes a loft master bedroom with sitting area and work space and an alcove with a twin bed. Note that although the cabin features traditional A-frame ceiling, the loft ceiling is extremely tall and you will not have to crouch down like so many other cabins in this area. The cozy living room has a comfy large couch and two plush chairs. The Treehouse has a full bath upstairs including an antique claw foot tub with wrap around custom shower ring creating a large space to enjoy a refreshing shower. The loft and the second bedroom, a sun porch with a sun splashed style with separate entrance, have new queen overstuffed chairs dresser and wardrobe. There is a small half bath/water closet is steps away from downstairs bedroom The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, spice rack, flatware, a block knife set, coffee maker, microwave, and quality cookware. Full coffee and tea set is provided. The cabin has a charcoal grill on the back outdoor deck. Lake Hosea is a private community for residents only and you certainly feel that in the secluded woods as you enter the neighborhood. The lake is a wonder for swimming, fishing and non motorized craft (many floats provided). Be sure to watch out for the numerous ducks that live here – we all love them and care for them as part of our family! Please be sure to keep things inside and up and away. These are, after all, the mountains and the wild things live here, too!
PLEASE NOTE! Cell reception is not great in Saluda. Best bets are T Mobile, ATT, and Metro PCS. . Yet if you have trouble making calls at the cabin jump to WiFi calling, it is pretty reliable for all providers. Messaging always works.

Our stay at this beautiful cabin was amazing! The space was clean, cozy, and perfectly stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views were gorgeous, and the peaceful setting made it easy to unwind. The host was incredibly communicative, friendly, and quick to respond to any questions we had. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful cabin experience!
The cabin and host were wonderful. The porch was so peaceful. It was the perfect spot for yoga and reading. And the interior of the cabin was also cozy and welcoming. The host left us a lovely bottle of wine and some Christmas chocolates. Everything was in the kitchen that we needed to fix a nice Christmas dinner.
This cabin is a little slice of heaven nestled in the woods. The cabin is comfortable and cozy. The little town of Saluda is quaint with so much character. Ashville and Hendersonville are easy drives away. The owner made check in easy and she was very accommodating. Thanks so much for the wood for the stove Paula. Really made for a cozy romantic evening.
Tho heavy rain a couple days, and i think that affected communication, owner was wonderful to work with and home met our needs. We would stay again and that says it all!
What a wonderful place to stay! Comfort and the experience of being in an old, yet updated cabin! So close to so many wonderful places to visit, yet totally quiet and private when at the cabin! Paula was a wonderful, helpful host! We truly enjoyed our trip!

I guess I can still reach you through VRBO? Please keep my number
Thanks
This cabin is the perfect getaway. It’s peaceful and quiet in a beautiful area. A fully screened in wrap around porch allows pets to roam freely. The cabin is furnished with modern conveniences but retains the charm of its age. Our host Paula was in communication with us to make sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed. We loved staying here and hope to return soon.

You were the perfect guests, any host would be lucky to have you.
Take care and come back!
If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, this is a great place to do it. Remote but not too far away from civilization. Very quiet. Very Peaceful. Wonderful, screened in porch, which is where I spent most of my time. The beds are comfy and the claw-foot tub is amazing.
This cabin is exactly as described. If you're looking for a peaceful mountain get away, this is it! I wish we could have stayed longer. It's charming and cozy and has all the amenities you need. Paula was very easy to communicate with and even had a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us. She gave us some helpful suggestions for exploring the area. would definitely stay again.

Peggy,
One could not hope for a better guest.
You communicated well and left the place spotless.
Please come again!
We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The neighborhood (houses and upkeep of properties) was great. Cresent Dr (after going around the lake) was steep, narrow and extremely rough. Setting Sunset Lane is narrow but definitely doable.
We absolutely loved staying in this cabin for the long weekend! When I say it is “cabin-y” I mean it in all of the best and most endearing ways possible- the cabin has everything you need while being tucked up and away on the hill by the lake, but you are fewer than 5 minutes scenic driving away from downtown. The woodwork is something we still cannot stop talking about along with the screened in porch. I also cannot say enough nice things about Paula! We were coming in with our toddler and she went ABOVE and beyond to talk to us about the property and even came in ahead of us to help toddler safety-proof the cabin, it was so heartfelt and appreciated by us for her to even think about that before our trip. We plan to come back as a family some day, for sure!!

You are the guests every host wants to stay at their property!
Such a lovely family. Great communication, left the place spotless. I would love for you to return.
Take care of that adorable little girl!!!
Our stay at this cabin is one of the best I’ve ever had. The host was always available - quickly. The property is a true cabin that has been updated. I loved the quirky floors that could be tilted just a bit due to age. I loved the design of this cabin. The wrap around porch is where we lived while we were there. And it is surrounded by woods - so pretty! All of it so cozy and comfy. The kitchen is well stocked. The downstairs bed is where we slept - that bed was like sinking into a dream at night. We will be going back. I can’t say enough good things about this visit.
This is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway it is such a charming cabin very nicely decorated in a great location the porch was awesome the cabin feels like it has a air of magic about it we really enjoyed it
Very cozy and comfortable lodging in a nostalgic log home. Very cool! We enjoyed our time here. Very clean with nice “little extras” provided by Paula. Communication, both pre-arrival, check-in, and during our stay.
Paula is a great host with an awesome property in a great area. Can’t wait to visit again!

Why they chose this property
asThe Treehouse is an experience like no other in the Saluda area. From the wraparound porch to the private lake to the lovely furnishings contrasted to the walls of wood hewn logs the Treehouse is truly unique! Before renting to a long term guest the Treehouse had a 5 star rating on VRBO
