Took a bunch of teenager to Bryson City for whitewater rafting. This was the perfect location and accommodation. Linda was very kind and easy to work with. Highly recommend!
My family had the best time ever! It had been years since we could all get together and enjoy a weekend of fun and relaxation. Plenty of room for the kids to enjoy playing outside and such a cute little creek that runs nearby. Such a peaceful place to stay and will definitely return!

Celeste it was a pleasure to meet you and your family. I am so glad you had a good time here. I do hope to have you as guests again. You are welcome anytime. Thank you for staying with us.
We had a great time except we were not aware that we would have a curfew if 10:00 pm. The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

Hi Sharon,
I am sorry you were not aware of the 10:00 PM quiet time. We have that in the rules in the notebook at the cabin. The campground and our cabins all try to keep the noise down after 10 PM just as respect for others who might have gone to bed or have small children who they are trying to get down for the night.
My family of 5, my sister's family of 5 and our mom stayed here for a long weekend. Short drive into Bryson city, easy drive into Cherokee, great space in the rental! There was plenty of room for everyone. The porch was lovely, and it was a very quiet area. When we come back we will definitely stay again!
Unfortunately, the expectation was higher, no internet and the kitchen pots had a very poor quality, beds very uncomfortable, place was not clean as expected. Nice location.

Sorry the cabin didn't meet your expectations. When one member of your party brought the key up to the office, said he really liked the cabin and said they wanted to come back, I was unaware you were not happy with it. We have sufficient pans for cooking in the cabins; the beds had all been replaced about 6 weeks before your arrival; I did tell you the internet is like cell phones in this area, not the best reception. We pay for the best service in this area, but that is what we have in the mountains. I am sure you found your cell phones were not like they are in flat lands. As for the cabin not being clean, our cleaners do a great job. If you were not satisfied, you should come and tell us when you arrived. It is hard to satisfy guests if they don't let you know when they arrive of things not to their liking. Thanks for liking our location.
This place was nice and met our needs for our father/son trip
near Bryson City. Great Sunset views
and close to attractions and tubing.

The father/son group did a good job leaving the cabin very neat. Glad they stayed with us and we hope they all had a great time. Hope they come back again.
I hate to give a "bad review" but at the price per night future renters need to know the complete truth.
Pros:
The owners are a wonderful, pleasant couple;
Great quiet location if you want to get away from the city;
Very Clean upon arrival;
Cons:
Cabin is OLD and outdated;
Cooking utensils from 1970 that a flea market would not even try to give away;
WiFi signal is great however it is NOT connected to the internet. never had a signal the entire time;
Window A/C unit in the corner of the kitchen is the A/C for the entire 2 story 3 bedroom home with 2 separate loft locations;
Bedrooms will be hot during the summer;
Furniture and Furnishings OLD;
Propane Grill burners are rusted out;
Hand Rails along steps are falling apart;
Hand rails inside have issues too;
1990 Tube TV;
OLD. Everything is very old, worn out and outdated.
I really hated to give this review because the couple that owns all of these cabins are such a nice older(maybe elderly) couple and may require this income. But I would never stay here again. I'm sorry but I hate for people to be misled on VRBO.

Our cabins are great for quiet getaways. If you want to see what they look like, just view the photos that were taken a year ago when we listed them on VRBO. They look the same now as then. They are authentic log cabins that are very clean as you stated. By outdated, we do not offer game rooms, marble counter tops, etc. You can see this though when you look at the photos. Why book a cabin expecting something different that what you see in the photos. We bought new cookware for the cabins this spring when we opened after the shutdown and there is a sufficient amount of utensils (stainless steel) for light cooking which is what most people do on vacation. I think the ones referred to as 1970 were the cast iron frying pans which most people do love and feel that they go with the log cabin atmosphere. We have non-stick pans also. As for the Wi-Fi signal we were unaware of any problem. If a guest has a problem with the Wi-Fi and tell us we get a technician to help us with the problem. We didn't have the problem prior to this guest coming nor with guests after his stay. I don't understand why you would give a bad rating on this when if you had told us we would have gotten the problem taken care of . Our cabin does have a window A/C unit which works great in conjunction with the ceiling fans which are in all rooms. If guests feel they need to have it cooler at bedtime, they can turn off the A/C, open the windows and turn the attic fan on. Our evening temps here in the mountains are usually around 68-70 degrees and the whole house attic fan will cool the whole cabin. Then when it is cool, just turn of the attic fan, leave the windows open and turn the ceiling fans on. Some of our guests are using blankets on the beds when they leave the windows open it is so cool. Our furniture is in need of replacing. We have had new furniture ordered for a month now and due to the virus have not been able to get it delivered. The propane grills are not rusted out. They are cleaned each time a guest leaves and we make sure they are in good working condition. As far as hand rails this is the first time we have ever heard this complaint and upon checking the rails found that there is nothing wrong with them. We keep the cabins in a good safe condition. I do feel you thought you paid too much. We received $46.24 per person per night for this cabin. I feel to have a clean place to stay and be able to cook your own meals it was worth this price.
Hi Judy,
We enjoyed having you spend Thanksgiving here in our cabin. We hope every thing was to your liking. Appreciate great guests like you and your family. Would enjoy having you stay again if you are ever in the area.
Thanks, Linda
