Welcome to our beautifully restored 1942 family heirloom cottage – a cozy, character-filled retreat just minutes from Rock City, Ruby Falls, Covenant College, and all that Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain have to offer.

Very cute and cozy little cottage! Host was very welcoming and went out of their way to drop off fire starter so we could enjoy a nice fire and smores. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy a couple days watching our daughter play basketball at Covenant College. Would definitely recommend!!

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. The hosts were beyond sweet and helpful. We walked into this cottage and instantly felt comfortable because it just felt like "home". There's really no better way to describe it. We didn't feel like we were staying at a rented space, but more so coming to visit home away from home. Our kids loved the space (and the toys / puzzles!) and it truly had everything we needed! You can tell there was so much thought, intention and love poured into this home. We are very thankful we got to stay at this place and will most definitely plan on visiting / renting again in the future.

Our stay was ABSOLUTELY amazing! The home was beautiful and very clean. I really enjoyed the soaking tub, and the host went above and beyond to make the experience relaxing and special. There were bath bombs, face masks, candles, and other items to help you feel relaxed and pampered! It’s very close to plenty of activities and dining options but also located in a quiet, relaxing area. My husband and I spent our 12th anniversary here, and it was truly memorable and perfect. The host messaged us before we arrived and the day after to ensure we didn't need or want anything while we were there! We look forward to returning very soon!

Luxury, spacious, cozy home

The best VRBO!!! My friends and I stayed here for a wedding at McCloud Resort and it was the perfect place to relax and close by to local attractions (hang gliding, Rock City, and Ruby Falls. The entire place looks newly renovated and is tastefully decorated. There is a large soaking tub as well as a waterfall shower head and they provided bath bombs, robes, slippers and coffee/ local goodies at check in. The owner was super friendly and responsive throughout our trip.

This was an absolutely amazing cottage with a wonderful host family. It was central to everything on Lookout mountain, just a short drive away. Everything was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Grateful for the soaking tub and the laundry access. The host was so thoughtful and my kids enjoyed making s’more’s outside by the fire. They also loved sleeping upstairs in the loft/attic space. I would definitely come back! My one daughter said one of our days there was one of the best of her life! Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing Mountain Cottage!!

I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s, but this one really stands out. The cottage is beautifully decorated and appointed. The location is fantastic and very close to many Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain sites. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to prep Thanksgiving dinner. The beds were so comfortable! The owner, Derek, provided very easy and clear check-in and check-out instructions. He was very responsive throughout our stay. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage if you’re planning to visit the area!!

I was born in Huntsville, AL and currently reside at Lookout Mountain, GA. I enjoy the outdoors, youth sports with my kids, growing anything edible in my garden, and raising my 20+ chickens!

Why they chose this property

The West Brow community has been home to my family for 13+ years. My wife and I rented this cottage until 2020 when we purchased it as our first home. When we outgrew it, we were blessed enough to keep it as a short term rental. We're extremely proud of the heritage this home displays as it was built by my wife's grandfather in 1942!

What makes this property unique

Built in the 40's and rennovated in 2011, this cottage has seen it all. Built by hand, this house sits on it's original rock foundation with rough cut timber framing. Updated with a brand new laundry room/mud room and custom bathroom, it shows off the original architecture while still offering the updated amenities of today. This was our perfect starter home but an even better opportunity to stay in the Lookout Mountain/Chattanooga area for a quick trip or even a 1 or 2 month snow bird home.
