Lookout Mountain Brow Home. Large Sunset Deck, Covered Hot Tub, Screened Porch.
Situated on the edge of Lookout Mountain, our home has stunning views over the northwest corner of Georgia, into Alabama and Tennessee. The 2000 square foot home features two bedroom suites on separate floors for privacy. On the main level is the large master bedroom with a private full bathroom and double French doors that open onto the deck and hot tub, another full bathroom, a well appointed living room with a large TV, dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. You can have dinner on the screened porch and then relax in the 2-4 person hot tub on the covered, open air porch. The downstairs bedroom suite has a queen size bed and a new queen size sleeper sofa and a large TV in the sitting are and a half bath. We have super fast wifi. While here, you'll be close to area attractions and all that this mecca for outdoor enthusiasts has to offer. This house is on the race route of many local and national bicycle road races, and only a few miles from epic mountain bike trails, rock climbing, caving, hang gliding at Lookout Mountain Flight Park, and hiking at Georgia's Cloudland Canyon State Park. Historic civil war sites are abundant in the area, and white water rafting on the Ocoee River is a scenic one hour drive. For guests wanting to include a city experience during their stay, the house is just a 20-minute drive to downtown Chattanooga with its many attractions, restaurants, shopping and more.
A note about hot tubs. We have three homes for short term rental. Each has it's own hot tub. We maintain them at least every other day and always between guests. This maintenance includes cleaning filters and adjusting chemical balance and chlorine levels. They are drained and refilled often. Sometimes they may not be hot yet when you get there. (A real problem of you're only there for one night) We will always choose "cold but clean" over "hot and green" for our hot tubs. Occasionally, something might go wrong with them that requires parts to be ordered. While we always want our hot tubs clean, fresh and operating properly, we do not give refunds if they are not hot when you arrive or if something has happened that requires repair parts and you can't get the bubbles to blow just like you want them.

Our stay was wonderful! A terrific view, a clean house, a clean hot tub, and more. We weren ’t disturbed at all and it was so peaceful. Highly recommend, we would stay here again!
Views were absolutely amazing and it was very close to the amenities and attractions we wanted to see (Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain, etc). Rick was absolutely awesome and responsive and had a beautiful place that felt like home away from home.
The view is not just hype, it is truly incredible! We also loved that we were far enough away from town to enjoy the peace and quiet, but still easy to get into Chattanooga to do fun stuff. The BP station just a short walk from the cottage had everything we forgot too, and good pizza.
The views from the deck were unmatched! We loved our stay so much. We relaxed on the porch at night and with morning coffee, and the house was so conveniently located to all the Chattanooga activities. Would definitely stay again!
The location is perfect! Centrally located for everything we wanted to do on Lookout Mtn and Chattanooga. But the BEST was sitting out in the screened in porch enjoying morning coffee as the sun woke up the Valley. The in the evening enjoying a nice glass of wine as the sun sets
First thing was the outside garbage can was full to the top.I had to pull a box out to make room for some of the garbage produced while there. There was foam in the hot tub when I opened it the first night. I left it running and open awhile and the foam went away.We tried to use the tub the smell of chlorine was overwhelming, like too much. The white liner of the tub was stained above the water line.Next day more foam, we tried once more after that then gave up on hot tub. This was our second visit to this same rental unit. We were so pleased the first time two years prior that we went back to it after two other vacations at other properties. The view was still just as awesome, but I feel the property has not been maintained well.

Thanks David. The trash gets emptied every Thursday and depending on the shopping habits of the previous guests, sometimes it gets full. Nothing we can really do about that.
The hot tub liner has stained over the last year. We've tried everything to get the stains out and nothing has worked so we're getting ready to replace it. Sorry for the bad timing on that one.
Hopefully you noticed the new master bath tile shower and the new carpet and king size bed in the master bedroom that were done between your visits though. We maintain and upgrade on a regular basis.
I hope you'll give us another chance and come enjoy the new hot tub and our awesome view.
Very nice property with incredible views. Very clean, accommodating, and convenient to a lot of different activities, sites, and excursions.

About the host
Hosted by Rick Gattone
I moved up from Atlanta in 1995 for the awesome hang gliding, caving, rock climbing and mountain biking in this area. I accidently started a company building waterfalls and ponds about 20 years ago and used to live down the street from this place. Musician friendly, I play guitar and mandolin and if you are so inclined, are welcome to come join our 20 year old Sunday Jam group while you're here. I also own a hand-carved "cave house" rental in the valley at the base of Lookout Mountain.
Why they chose this property
I love the million dollar view off the edge of Lookout Mountain. It has nice furniture and is very clean and well cared for.
