About this property
Broad River Cabin Total Privacy Riverbend Fishing Hiking- Now Fiber Internet!
***Hurricane Helene Update***
Amazingly, the house was untouched and the property was minimally impacted. We had a mini mudslide behind the house that is now lacking vegetation, but filling in with Spring growth. The river has more rock visible on both sides, and we will be adding a step or two more at the bottom of the access stairs. Black mountain is fully open! Businesses and service workers are counting-on your continued and generous support. So many past and recurring guests have reached out and we are so appreciative of your concern!

Settle into this one-of-a-kind riverbend vacation cabin on the headwaters of the pristine and beautiful Broad River. Leave the world behind and enjoy this secluded natural paradise offering the ultimate in privacy, yet situated only minutes away from popular locations and activities in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina! You may not be able to leave the magic of the river, but if you do venture out, you are within 35 minutes of Asheville, Biltmore Estate, Black Mountain, Montreat, Hendersonville, Chimney Rock, or Lake Lure. You may also want to disconnect from the modern world, while that is entirely an option, we now have fiber gigabit internet service for any connectivity you may need.
Turn into the tree-lined hidden driveway, and you’ll see the Broad River as it makes a gentle bend in front of the home. The tranquil river winds its way down the mountain through the lush green of rhododendron, dogwood, hemlock, spruce, pine, and black walnut that landscape the 2 ½ acre property. Jewel-toned dragonflies and songbirds abound, hummingbirds provide endless entertainment at the two porch feeders. Surrounded by woods and wildlife; the river IS your only neighbor!
Enjoy the relaxing sights and sounds of the river from rocking chairs, swing, or table for 4 on the full-length porch of this home in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wander down to the overlook deck for a closer view, or further down to the river’s edge. Cool your feet, sprawl in the sunlight on a granite outcropping or cast for a few of the native trout. Above all, relax and feel the stress of daily life melt away.
Special Features include:
• Three cozy bedrooms each with its own adjustable ductless AC/Heating units: Queen, Queen, and two twins.
