About this property
Walk to river, trails, & pubs! Well-appointed home close to hiking, biking & SUP
Awesome house! Come stay & play in Bend, Oregon, which always has the best outdoor activities and less crowds. Text me if you have ?'s at 541-350-7111.
My house truly is in one of the best locations in Bend -- especially if you're into skiing, snow-shoeing, biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, kayaking, floating, and being drenched in all the amazing ambiance and activities you can do in and around the Deschutes River.
As of Jan 2026, no dogs or kids under the age of 7 are allowed. However, I'm ok with certain exceptions for children (I LOVE kids!) in some cases. Please contact me at 541-350-7111 to ask about special circumstances or inquire about exceptions.
Wanoga sledding park (winter) / Wanoga mountain biking (summer) is a 10-minute drive from my (large) garage. I highly recommend riding Tiddlywinks and Funner trails from the Wanoga parking lot. (Don't tell the locals I told you!)
Super close and biking distance to some of Bend's best pubs, restaurants, music and art festivals, downtown, Drake Park, the Old Mill and Box Factory shopping, fine and casual dining areas, and Hayden Homes Amphitheater.
From my front door to trails galore! A 5-minute bike ride from my house to Phil's Trail System, world-class mountain biking. A 10-minute walk to one of the largest trail parks and Bend's best riverfront hiking, both have gorgeous views with easy river access.
I'm not a runner but several of my guests said there is a lot of trail running down Haul Road through Mt. Bachelor Village to the Deschutes River Trail.
5-minute drive to downtown, Old Mill Ctr, 10 Barrel, Lifty's, Portello Wine Bar, La Rosa's Mexican, Deschutes River floating put-in, paddle boarding, and more!
Driving up to my house, there's a very special feeling you get when you see it and walk in. It just FEELS GOOD when you're here. It feels peaceful and even healing, and it also feels festive.
The entire house is bright, sunny, and comfortable. Located on Westside Bend, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a great room featuring a large, open chef's kitchen, dining and living room areas, and front and back decks with a BBQ.
The big, open spaces and the way the windows stream light in and at night my lighting makes this house magical. It sits above the other houses, which makes you feel like trees and blue sky is all around you, and the snow coming down is so wonderful to watch.
The front deck off the great room has a patio dining table and chairs with BBQ for evening meals in the warm sun and gorgeous sunsets.
The backyard has a larger patio table and more chairs, with tons of morning sunshine for coffee and breakfast, turning into shade midday for comfortable outdoor dinners and cool bedroom sleeping.
It's delightful and fun to sit with all the nature and wildlife around my house, such as deer with their fawns, quail, bunnies, and lots of birds singing right in my backyard.
All 3 bedrooms have high-end luxury beds: Master bedroom has a California king Tempur-Pedic bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen Molecule bed, 3rd bedroom has two Beautyrest twin beds.
The deep Japanese soaking tub in the Master bathroom is a peaceful and relaxing treat after a fun day of all the amazing outdoor sports, dining and entertainment Bend is so famous for.
Here's what past renters say...
"Perfect location, perfect home and a perfect host. Beautiful, friendly and quiet neighborhood. Only one stop sign between you and Mt. Bachelor. Quick, easy drive up to the resort and close to great restaurants and shopping. Her oversized two-car garage could easily accommodate our large SUV with racks and boxes on top. It as a huge plus that we could park in the garage each night and keep our vehicles and bikes secure and protected. Our host Elin was wonderful. She checked in on us after our arrival to see if we arrived OK and if we needed anything. Her home was immaculately clean, well-appointed with linens, towels and additional pillows. The beds were super comfortable and wellmade The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils, pots, pans, dishes and flatware, an Instapot, rice cooker, kettle, Keurig and coffee maker. Thank you for sharing your home with our family."

Spent 10 days in Bend doing a little work and a little play. Elin’s a great host and the property is really nice (as advertised). Would definitely stay again.
Home is in a peaceful neighborhood close to everything. Home is fully stocked with everything you need. Communication with owner is great. Would stay again
Beautiful well maintained home. Comfortable bedrooms. Well stocked kitchen and great grill for outdoor cooking. Conveniently located. We were in the area for a conference and hiking. Unlimited beautiful trails for all abilities!
Elin’s home is meticulously maintained and makes for a wonderfully comfortable stay. She is communicative throughout the booking, stay, and check out process without being overly involved. Our favorite parts of the stay were the cozy fireplace, the games, puzzles, and crayons for our daughter, and the proximity to Mt. Bachelor. We had an amazing visit to Bend thanks to Elin and her home!

Elin is an exceptional host, providing conveniences so thoroughly that you’d swear you were at your own home. She’s a sweetheart to work with, and her home was the perfect location for us. We will be back again and again!

You know just how much I adore you Patty! I am so grateful that you come back to stay at my house again and again, and so happy to hear every time that you feel at home there, and have all the comforts you love as if you were in your own home. As they say in Mexico, Mi casa es tu casa. My house is your house to stay anytime!
This is our second stay at Elin’s home and it is always great! The home is located to easy access for all recreations such as skiing, snowboarding and shopping. The home was clean and organized and had all necessities.

Thank you for your great review Haley! I'm always happy to have you back to my house. You and your family are A+ renters and so nice to work with. :)
House was gorgeous; perfect for a Central Oregon getaway. Walking, biking trails right outside the door. Minutes from the desired Old Mill/Deschutes River for kayaking, paddleboarding and shopping. Would definitely rent this property again.
i brought my kids, a friend, and two dogs for a few days of skiing at Mt. Bachelor. This house worked out perfect for us - enough space for everyone! Communication with the homeowner was seamless, check-in/out was simple, directions were easy to follow. The house was spotless, beds comfortable, appliances were new, and kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed. The location was easy to find, and a quick 20-25 minute drive up to ski. Thanks for letting us borrow your home for a few days! Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
Clean, full-featured home. Every thing we could think of was available and appeared to be well-cared for (or new). Location was great for visiting downtown, Mill District or getting out of town to Mt Batchelor and other out of town destinations. Heavy rain and hail hit Bend one day causing flooding downtown, but no problems at h to be home.

Honestly, Paul and Paula Valerio were about the loveliest tenants a homeowner could ever have. Paul was kind and wonderful to communicate with. They left my house in the exact same condition they arrived in... clean as a whistle! In fact, it was as if they cleaned the entire house before they left! I'd rent to them again and again (and again)! Thank you Paul and Paula, for being the best renters anyone could ask for.
We stayed at the house for a 4-day skiing trip. The house is very conveniently located, about 25 minutes drive to Mt. Bachelor. Elin, the owner, was there to greet us when we checked in and she left us with some wonderful homemade cookies. The house is beautifully decorated and has a large and fully equipped kitchen with everything we needed, all kinds of kitchen gadgets, pots and pans of all sizes, rice cooker, instant pot, Keurig coffee maker and plenty of coffee pods. It is such a wonderful place that we will definitely return for our future trips to bend.
Our family of 6 stayed at this home the week of Thanksgiving, and it was by far the CLEANEST, most well-equipped VRBO home we've ever stayed in. The online pictures don't do it justice! The neighborhood was quiet & safe, the home was clean and comfortable, and it had every bath or kitchen appliance you could ask for. Oh - and the beds! Honestly, the master bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. The check-in/out process was super easy and the owner, Elin, was easy to communicate with and very responsive.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit Mt. Bachelor or the greater Bend area. You won't be disappointed!

Awww, thank you SO MUCH for the great review! Would love to have you back anytime. It's available again starting January 10th if you're interested.
We had a nice visit to Bend while staying at this property in early August. Temps were very hot and there was A LOT of wildfire smoke. The AC was really struggling to keep up. The home proper was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated supplied with everything you would expect and then some. We loved the large kitchen space with large island and enjoyed the modern appliances. We also enjoyed the back porch and garden area and had fun counting the different types of bird that came to visit. We have no complaints at all about the property. We would not hesitate to rent here again in the future. The only comment/warning worth mentioning has nothing to do with the property, but the with the home owners association. They have install the worlds TALLEST speed bumps every 100 feet throughout the entire neighborhood. It is completely annoying and totally unnecessary. Actually makes driving more unsafe.

Hi Ken. Really happy you enjoyed the house and your stay in Bend. So sorry the speed bumps got to you. :o More neighborhoods are putting in bigger speedbumps because people tend to still speed over the smaller ones. The larger speedbump have proven to keep my neighborhood safer and slow down drivers, as annyoying as it is! Happy to hear you had zero "speedbumps" while staying in my house!
Elin is the best; House is gorgeous; Neighborhood is friendly; Perfect location!!
We are so happy to have stayed at this house! We made such good memories here, and even made new friends! The house is beautiful and in great shape. Opening the doors to the front balcony and back yard creates a refreshing breeze. The back yard is like a zen oasis, yall! We saw bunnies, a mule deer, quail, and chipmunks galore! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The kitchen comes equipped with all your needs to cook and bake just as you would at your own home. And for dog lovers...the best off-leash hike is just down the street called Good Dog...and its walking distance from the house!
The real prize here, though was the owner - Elin! I just can't say enough about her and how she made our stay that much more amazing. It was like staying at a friend's house...but a friend who's #1 priority is ensuring that you enjoy your stay and that all your needs are met. She is kind, caring, generous, responsive, and went WAY above and beyond as a hostess. Whether we needed more vacuum bags, fans, local recommendations, etc...she came through immediately. Thank you, Elin!! I hope we stay in touch!
With Love from Texas!

Hey Kara! How are you all doing?! How was your Christmas? When are you coming back to Bend? If you do, let me know when you can come and I'll of course give you a special rate for my short-term rental house, which I'd actually rent longer term too!
Elin's place was perfect for our mountain bike-focused trip to Bend. The location was perfect for getting to many different trails quickly, the huge garage easily fit 2 cars (including a SUV with a rooftop box) and 4 bikes, and Elin even suggested many fun trails for us to check out. Humans and dogs all enjoyed Good Dog Dog Park nearby, as well as the routine and beautiful walks in the neighborhood.
Everything in the house was wonderful too, starting with how spotlessly clean everything was when we arrived - it felt like we were the first guests ever there, even though the reservation calendar indicated that another group had checked out the same day that we arrived. We loved the open kitchen / dining / living room layout plus the high ceilings, big windows, and natural light throughout. The kitchen had great modern appliances and was exceptionally well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, and cookware (even a small Instant Pot!). We were also spoiled by the spacious master suite (the bedroom, the bathroom, and the walk-in closet in the bathroom were each all huge), and we slept very well on the soft bed. It was also very nice to have the laundry room on the same level as the bedrooms, rather than having to take laundry downstairs to the garage.
On top of all this, Elin was a pleasure to communicate with, and made us feel so welcome. We loved our stay, and would definitely stay again if we can!

Dawww... Victoria what a wonderful review you wrote about my rental house and me! You are so nice and such a phenomenal guest. I hope you come back again and again every year. The mountain biking and hiking fun from my house will always be waiting for YOU!
So great we selfishly did not want to review :) .. totally kidding. Our host was warm, welcoming, and CLEAR from the jump ( a word which here means first contact). Communications are top level - in advance and in-the-home. Then, from the minute we unlocked the door (easily with key pad !) we were wow-ed by spaciousness. Thoughtful layout. Cooks' kitchen - this means host has anticipated everything, including seating. LOCATION ! Close to everything that we all love about Bend: active and relaxing. We skied hard ! We hiked lightly. Enjoyed the nearby bike path. We cooked and ate and visited great restaurants with gusto. We visited friends. We read. We local-ed. Description of location is accurate - The Good Dog Trail down to Deschutes, Bend, Bachelor ... verified. The 'hood is quiet. Garage large. Bed : comfy ! Water pressure - awesome. Overall, truly believed we were hosted by a friend we had never met. Hope she stops by for a coffee, tea, or local brew next time ! Look for our additional comments and suggestions in the guest book.
We recently rented for a month while remodeling our home in Bend. We love the location on the road to the mountain and Cascade Lakes area as well as close to town. This house is nicely appointed, partially fenced backyard and front deck with barbecue. We were easily able to work virtually from this house, and the owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns. We would definitely recommend this vrbo.
This was by far one of the nicest rentals I have ever stayed in! The beds were like a dream. Honestly, every single bed in that house was like falling asleep on a cloud. The house had 2 nice sitting spaces with TVs and comfortable seating. The back seating area is great for a relaxing view of the outdoors. We even had some deer come visit! :)
The kitchen was by far the favorite spot in the entire house. It had everything you could ever went - ninja blender, instapot, coffee maker, food processor, and even a mixer! We stayed over the holidays and loved all the high end cooking supplies.
Elin, the host, is more than accommodating and very helpful! She makes you feel right at home and does everything to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect!! We will without a doubt be going back and staying with her!

Awww thank you Samantha! You were a wondeful guest and I'm so happy you and your family enjoyed your time at my house so much. I love making sure all guests have the best possible - "dreamy" experience - every day (and night) they're at my rental! Come back any time. =)
Our family of four enjoyed the house for three nights while we celebrated our youngest's 21st birthday. The kitchen was much better stocked than most rentals and the beds were high quality. The location is great for skiers and mountain bikers. We will definitely go back!
