About this property

Easy access to Chelsea and Ann Arbor

Enjoy this fresh, bright, completely renovated 1,200 sq. ft. home in Chelsea, only two miles from downtown. Located just outside the city limit with a country feel but close to everything. Less than one mile from I-94 expressway with easy access to Ann Arbor (12 miles), Waterloo State Park (9 miles), Ypsilanti (20 miles), Detroit Metropolitan Airport (40 miles) and Detroit (50 miles).

This is our home, not a rental property, so you will find all the amenities for a comfortable visit. The full kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, utensils, a blender, Cuisinart, slow cooker and everything else you need to prepare meals. The gas Weber grill in the large yard is also available. A washer and dryer, along with laundry detergent are in the basement. Guests may use the condiments, herbs and spices, and paper goods. Please help yourself to the Keurig coffee and tea provided.

This is a pet-friendly home. Please tell us if you are bringing any and the breed and size. There is a $50 additional fee per pet per stay.

In an effort to keep our rates lower, the base rate for our home covers the rental for 2 guests. There is a nightly surcharge of $25 for each additional guest. We do this to keep the rates lower for smaller groups. More guests means more wear & tear and more work for the cleaning crew.

Information and maps about things to do in the Chelsea area are by the back door for your convenience.

To securely monitor the home’s exterior, a Ring video door bell is installed at the front door and a Ring camera is at the detached garage.

Load the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please place used towels on the shower floor.
Leave the outdoor front porch and back walkway lights on.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Government ID required to book. Help yourself to coffee, tea, condiments and paper goods. Fill the Keurig Coffee water reservoir from the RO faucet
The Nest thermostat in the dining room controls the heat and air conditioning. It will automatically go into ECO MODE when it detects no one is home.
Place bagged trash in bin near front of the driveway. Garbage disposal is for minimal use only, because the long drain pipe can clog.

Cozy home!

A well cared for/appointed property that was a great base for visiting family nearby in Dexter. Everything you need was available in this home from home. The bed was really comfortable, so a good night's sleep is ensured! We had our dog with us, the neighborhood next door provides a nice little walk that is close by. We would certainly choose to stay here again. Thank you to Maureen and Raul for sharing their relaxing home.

Everything was comfy and clean. We had a great stay and Chelsea is a fun little village with lots to do. Be sure to go to the Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights. The house has everything you’ll need for a perfect get away. Maureen was very responsive before, during and after our stay.

Great place to stay

The house was clean and well organized. The location was perfect, close to I-94 so traveling to Ann Arbor was a breeze. Many great golf courses were near, as well as Metro parks, downtown Chelsea and Purple Rose Theater. A real gem.

Greatly enjoyed our stay. Loved the kitchen and how well stocked everything was. Very comfortable beds. Great TV set up. Loved the street area and nice walk to the lake. Only small comment is have additionsl/better pillows. We would definitely come back!

My partner and I with our dog came to Chelsea to try a few of the excellent restaurants. This home was so comfortable and has such a well stocked kitchen that we decided to stay in and cook. Extremely clean and located in a quiet area yet close to everything in Chelsea! Highly recommend it!!

My Beautiful Vacation

If i could give this 10 stars I would. Wonderful house, the beds were terrific, loved the heated shower, plenty of coffee, spices and a more than fully equipped kitchen. I know Chelsea and it was close to everything. Parking was easy and plentiful. Maureen was the best provided all the information we needed. And kudos to the interior decoration and art work. Lovely home with all the space and comforts we needed. Good location. Nice sized bedrooms, bathroom and sitting/dining area. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen. Was impressed that even condiments, coffee, sweetener, little snacks were provided. Made it very easy to be comfortable and have a relaxed weekend in the Chelsea area. Perfect weekend getaway.

My girlfriend and wanted to hike over the weekend. We picked Chelsea because it was in-between two state nature preserves. The location was perfect. Chelsea is such a lovely town with cute shops. The property was wonderful! Everything we needed and then some. Kitchen was well stocked. Bathroom was beautiful. I highly recommend this rental.

Our trip back home

My son and I stayed in this Chelsea house while visiting family and friends. We use Homeaway most of the time when we travel. The Chelsea house was the nicest place we have stayed. Honestly, I felt like I was in my own home. The kitchen set up was wonderful. I appreciated the spice pantry. As I made gumbo to warm us up on a cold snowy day. Would love to stay here again
