Whole House, Scenic Post and Beam Home Overlooking Canandaigua Lake! Sleeps 10

Come and relax at our tranquil oasis-like retreat in the heart of the Finger Lakes with amazing lake views. Close to Bristol Mountain, CMAC Performing Art Center and several wineries and breweries. Our home is tucked away on a private drive and sits on 1.3 wooded acres. Beautifully landscaped with sweeping covered porches wrapping around the home and private deck off master suite all with beautiful lake views. Cozy up to our outdoor wood burning fire pit or gas firepit off the private deck off the master or relax inside the spacious living room with a gas fireplace and plenty of seating on the comfy couches.

Please note that we cater to families and laid back vacationers. If you are looking for a party house, we would not be your destination. We want to maintain a peaceful and enjoyable environment for our guests as well as our neighbors.

The main floor includes beautiful kitchen with high end cabinets, quartz countertop, large farm-style dining table, gas fireplace, spacious living room. Full bath and guest bedroom with scenic lake views on first floor includes queen size and twin over full size bunk and private access to front porch.

Second floor includes master bedroom with king-size bed, master bath and private deck with amazing lake views. Guest bedroom on the second floor includes a queen size bed and a full size bed. The second floor also includes a full bath and full-size washer and full-size dryer.

This is a perfect home for you to enjoy with family and friends. Outdoor gas grill, fire pit on the lawn to roast marshmallows and spot area wildlife, and plenty of outdoor lawn games and indoor board games for your enjoyment. Several areas close by with public lake/beach access, less than 4 miles to public boat launch, 11 miles to Bristol Mountain Ski Resort and Aerial Adventures and 6 miles to CMAC Performing Arts Center.

There are plenty of local restaurants as well as wineries and breweries close by. We look forward to having you stay at the Chosen View of the Finger Lakes!

This was a great space for visiting family over the holidays. Once the snow stopped, they plowed the driveway which was very helpful. We spoke with the hosts in advance about having our family join us for dinner/Christmas celebration and they were accommodating. Timely communication and would definitely stay again.

We had a very comfortable stay at this lovely cottage that overlooks Lake Canandaigua. The property is well appointed and the bedrooms and linens are very nice. We had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. The spaces were super clean. We loved hanging out on the front porch.

This is a beautiful property. It is situated high on a hill, allowing for a view of the lake in the distance. The grounds are well kept & the house itself was very clean & comfortable. We warmed it up when we first got there since it was a little chilly & we were glad we had the gas fireplace running when the power went out. The outage affected several homes in the area. Fortunately, it was restored before it got dark. My family loved all the seating on the porch. My 10-year-old grandson came across a few golf balls, so we had an improvised golf game in the back yard using sticks he gathered. It was great fun. We truly enjoyed our get together here. It was the perfect place for creating special memories.

Enjoyed this house and its huge porch

The house met all our needs - plenty of room inside and outside - we loved the porch and spent a lot of time out there. Plenty of outside area for our grandchildren to play baseball. It would have been nice to have the outside table and chairs on the porch. It would also be nice to have more lighting in the kitchen dining area and the sitting room.

Celebration of Life

We were in town for our mother's funeral and celebration of life, and we were looking for a place close to the lake. This property was absolutely perfect. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the front porch, which made the time spent there even more peaceful. After the funeral, we were able to host our family for lunch, and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax and enjoy each other's company without feeling rushed. The property had everything we needed, it was spotless, easy to find and exactly as described in the listing. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Canandaigua.

Nice property. Lovely view. Very happy with the whole experience. Only thing to note is the bunk beds are in the same room as another full bed which was not clear from the photos.
