Perched high on a wooded slope with a breathtaking long-range view of the Pisgah National Forest, this cozy A-frame cabin is your dream base camp for exploring all that Brevard, NC, has to offer. Step onto the spacious wraparound deck (max. 6 adults please) and take in a panoramic vista of blue skies and rugged mountain peaks—it’s your front-row seat to nature’s daily masterpiece.

THE PERFECT LAUNCHPAD FOR ADVENTURE

Wake up early and take a scenic 30-minute drive to catch the sunrise along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Spend the day hiking waterfalls, mountain biking the epic trails of Pisgah & DuPont Forests, or whitewater rafting through sparkling rivers. Prefer to stay close to home? Just walk 10 minutes up our gravel road to access the Bracken Mountain Preserve, with a 7.2-mile loop trail for hiking or biking right out your door.

Evenings are for relaxation—whether you’re toasting marshmallows around the rustic stone fire pit (BYO firewood), watching the sunset over the ridge, or enjoying a friendly ping pong showdown on the lower-level screened porch. Stream the Panthers game on the 85” movie screen—satellite weather permitting!

COZY CABIN LIVING + UNFORGETTABLE VIEWS

This ~1100 sq. ft. A-frame features a solid cedar interior and a stunning wall of oversized windows that bring the outdoors in. The deck faces due south, so you can watch the sun rise and set from a single spot—pure mountain magic.

The cantilevered screened porch below the main deck is a guest favorite, with a 180° southern view and a true “outdoors-in” feel. It's fully screened (not glassed-in), allowing you to stay connected to nature while staying cozy. Two ceiling fans keep it breezy in summer, and we’ve stocked warm throws for cool nights.

COMFORTABLE, MODERN + RUSTIC INTERIORS

PRIMARY BEDROOM: Queen-size bed, ceiling fan, and spa-inspired en-suite with sunken shower, vaulted ceiling, natural stone tile, and shiplap accents.

SECOND BEDROOM: Full-size bed, ceiling fan, and closet.

Additional sleeping: 2 sofas + cot

Second Full Bath: Tub/shower combo and pedestal sink.

The upstairs loft features a comfy sectional, 50” Smart TV with Direct TV Streaming, and a cozy reading nook with recliner and board games.

THOUGHTFULLY STOCKED KITCHEN + DINING

Cook up a feast in our fully stocked kitchen with full-size modern appliances: fridge, oven/stove, and dishwasher. The locally handmade solid pine island and 7-ft poplar farm table are perfect for hosting holiday dinners or family meals.

The view is superb and the cabin is fantastic! Beds and furniture are comfortable. Easy checkin and checkout. Owner left a booklet with clear instructions on how everything works. Easy Communication and prompt responses with owner. Gravel driveway is easy to negotiate. I highly reccomend this cabin!!

A perfect 4 day stay , wish it were longer. The view is amazing as well as the house. Felt at home the minute we opened the door. The owners have thought of everything. Loved all the special touches throughout but nothing beats the view from inside the house and the deck. It was secluded and quiet but very close to town. We are already planning our next adventure there.

House was exactly as advertised. Very relaxing place. Just wanted to curl up a read a book every where I sat. The place would have been great in any season. We were there in the winter but it would have been a relaxing place any time. Homeowner was very up front and accommodating. Allowed us to check in early and check out late (winter weather was forecasted the night before). Would highly recommend for any visit to Brevard, Pisgah National Forest, or Dupont Forest.

Spectacular Cabin with a Tough Driveway

We stayed here for our anniversary. The views were spectacular and the directions on how to get there are very good. Two improvements: (1) we contacted the property owner twice on how to start the dishwasher - turns out the door needed to be open and press start (a bit of a pain doing the problem solving), and (2) the driveway gate needs a light at night because the road and turnout are pitch black. Not ideal when you are having to navigate.

This cabin is a peaceful, wonderful place. We're so happy we got to experience it. Comfortable and the deck view is breathtaking. We couldn't get the fire started but we didn't ask for help either. I realized an hour and a half after we'd driven away that I left a coat and leather jacket in the closet. The owners/hosts couldn't have been more gracious about it and mailed it back to me without giving me attitude for leaving them behind. We hope to return someday, we had a great time!

Beautiful conveniently located cabin with a spectacular view

My husband, our teenage son and daughter, and I spent five days here this past Christmas. The view was amazing and the cabin was beautiful! Everything was as advertised. You could see the sun rise in the east and also see it set in the west as you had a 180 degree view from the great room. Cabin was very clean and well stocked with everything you needed. The game room was great - we even played ping pong in the cold because it was so much fun! I'm sure it's loads of fun in the better weather as it's screened in. We used the loft as a second bedroom. It was very spacious and large enough to put a Queen air mattress in. The host was very easy to communicate with, and made it easy to enter the property. The guidebook was super detailed, making directions easy as well. The best part is that it is secluded yet only ten minutes from town, if that. It was the perfect cabin!!! Probably the best property we have stayed at. My daughter already asked if we could come back :)

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This cabin really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures! We loved how clean, cozy, comfortable and well equipped this place was. The view is breathtaking. It's perfectly situated on a secluded part of the mountain, but close enough to town for convenience. Jennifer was extremely helpful and kind to us during our stay, she truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect vacation. We can't wait to book another vacation here!

Upon arriving at the cabin and stepping onto it’s wrap around deck high above the ground, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking long-range view of the rugged mountain scenery of the Pisgah National Forest and wide open Carolina blue sky!

The cabin is a paradise for those seeking a perfectly situated base camp to enjoy all that this area has to offer.

A typical day might start at dawn with a quick 30 minute drive to catch the sunrise from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Spend the rest of the day biking or enjoying the whitewater rivers, waterfalls & hiking trails of the Pisgah and Dupont Forests, and end with dining + live music at one of Brevard's popular breweries or restaurants. Or take a short 10 minute walk up the gravel road to pick up the 7.2 mile loop of the Bracken Mountain Preserve trails (on foot or mountain bike - our road abuts the Preserve!). Save some energy for an afternoon ping pong tournament in the spacious lower level screened-in porch, while you stream the Panther game in hi def onto the 80” movie screen (if the satellites are cooperating!)

What makes this property unique

Strong and stout, this approx 1100 sf A frame cabin boasts a solid cedar interior and exterior, and a stunning wall of oversized windows - your front row seat to Mother Nature's constantly rotating scenes of majesty. The wrap around deck faces due South - standing in a single spot, you can watch the sun rise to the east through the morning fog, then set to the west later that evening.

The cabin decor is "modern rustic" - comfortable, and well-appointed with central air/heat, two bedrooms, two full baths, washer & dryer, brand new GE appliances (fridge, stove & dishwasher). The kitchen is stocked with ample dishes & cookware, and Keurig coffee maker stocked with a supply of coffee and hot chocolate. Downstairs furnishings include a locally hand-crafted solid pine kitchen island & seven foot poplar farm table (perfect for holiday gatherings), comfortable leather furniture and a cozy propane free-standing corner fireplace. Upstairs in the loft, guests enjoy a spacious sectional sofa, a 50” TV with Direct TV and Apple TV, board games, and a comfy recliner in the cozy reading nook.

The master bedroom features an elevated queen size bed, ceiling fan, updated spa-like master bath with large sunken shower, natural stone tile, vaulted ceiling & white washed ship lap. The second bedroom has a full size bed, ceiling fan and closet. The 2nd full bathroom has a tub/shower and pedestal sink. Two couches + two cots provide additional sleeping arrangements if needed.

The cabin includes Wifi with Direct TV & Apple TV. We have it all tricked out, but can't control the temperamental satellite signals here in the mountains. :-)
