Welcome to the Urban Fern Bungalow! This light-filled 1920's bungalow was completely remodeled, combining vintage Portland charm with modern comfort and amenities. Perfect location in a close-in Portland neighborhood with great access to the city. On a major bike street just blocks from the MAX train, shops, restaurants, food carts grocery & more. Walk/bike/train to everything you need! Easy to get around without a car but if you bring one there is off street parking in the driveway and plenty of free street parking right out front. This is an entire house with a duplex set up - each level has one bedroom with queen bed, one bathroom, full kitchen, living room with sofa bed and entrance. The two levels are connected by a door (can be locked or left open) off main level kitchen that leads to laundry room and down basement stairs. Note: the basement stairs are concrete, steep and uneven so please use caution. These units are also available to rent separately. Together this home is fantastic for couples traveling together or family/friends that prefer more separate spaces or extra privacy. I occupy the detached ADU in the backyard, you may see me outside from afar, if so I will likely waive but won’t bother you. The main level has a private and peaceful back deck to enjoy morning coffee or a drink in the evening. Home is located in the Overlook neighborhood in North Portland. Centrally located between the popular destinations of Downtown PDX, Alberta Arts, Mississippi Ave, Williams Corridor, Dekum Triangle & St John's making it the perfect base camp for exploring Portland.

Host was wonderfully accommodating, such well appointed studios, very cozy & great location to access great nearby restaurants, will definitely plan to stay again!
Stayed for 3 nights - property was clean, well-stocked and decorated very cute. We rented both upstairs and downstairs, which was perfect for my 25-year-old daughter to have her own space. Brooke was a great host, and instructions and expectations were clear and well communicated. Close walk to MAX yellow line, and lots of places close by to eat or have drinks/coffee. Overall, a perfect stay, would stay again or highly recommend to anyone visiting Portland.
My wife and I, along with our teenage daughter, rented the whole property (upstairs and down) for a three day visit. Having the downstairs for our daughter worked great as it gave her a dedicated bath, and a place to spread out. The whole home is thoughtfully and very thoroughly equipped, and the host checked in to be sure we had everything we needed early in our stay. Don’t expect large spaces, but expect to be charmed by this cottage in a great location in Portland.

Why they chose this property
I love the Overlook neighborhood of North Portland. We are close to everything wonderful but feels more relaxed and quiet than the other happening spots. Walkable to fantastic coffee, food, drinks, parks, yoga/Pilates studios, grocery stores and public transport.
What makes this property unique
You get the Portland experience staying in a turn of the century bungalow home. Vintage feel yet remodeled so convenient and comfortable. I’m always adding more amenities to make my guest’s stay even better.
