Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed your time in Portland.
The house was very clean, which we really appreciated because we were traveling with little ones. The host was very responsive and accommodating as well.
This was a great stay for us for a Reed College graduation weekend. Fabulous location and very safe neighborhood. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom towels, and linens. Highly recommend it.
Ideally located near walking paths, food trucks & easy access to Portland areas. Love the 3 bathrooms and outdoor space. Appreciated the air conditioning. Stairs could be a problem for some. We appreciated that kitchen had all equipment needed for quick meals. Very comfortable property ( though living room could use a floor lamp for more light for reading)

Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the feedback on the lamp.
We had a great stay at the Cora Street Retreat. Carla was incredible to work with. She went over and beyond to accommodate our needs. We were there for a month and loved the location. Cute neighborhood with some great places to eat, drink or get coffee within walking distance. The house had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated all the extra bedding and towels. The kitchen was well equipped. We made most of our meals at home. It was great having a desk space to do my work. The outside patio was a great space to hang out. Easy drive to both OHSU waterfront and the OHSU hospital.

We're pleased you found our location convenient for your Portland trip and that the house suited you.
Hard to trust Vrbo reviews after staying here. Really people??!! Please write honest reviews!! It was clean, except for inside closets & drawers which had a lot of junk in them. Host promptly scheduled a plumber when a sink drain became stuck closed. Toaster was ususeable; host said she’d reimburse us if we bought one. Deck had many foot-tall thistles growing between planks. Host suggested we cut them with kitchen shears. Lots of weeds around patio. Front stairs appeared not to have been swept in months. I swept them and 3 days later, they still looked good, so not an issue of rapidity collecting debris. Door shade would not raise. One set of blinds could not be adjusted. Several light bulbs were out. Bar stools extremely unstable. Back door almost impossible to lock & unlock. Grill was tiny, electric, & dirty. Host gave us wrong entry code at first; luckily we were able to reach her. Caulk peeling off primary shower. Pretty sparsely furnished, though adequate. Host was prompt to respond to messages. Comfortable mattresses. Kitchen adequately equipped. Rental could be 5 stars if the above problems were corrected.

I'm sorry our typical 5 star review was not your experience. We count on our guests to notice problems and communicate them so that we may take care of problems when they arise, otherwise we may not know about them. Most of your complaints were new to us and specifics are most helpful. I appreciate that you gave us credit for calling a plumber $$$ (the drain was not broken, you just didn't pushed hard enough to release the pop-up).
Because we are 100 miles away, we cannot run by the store to buy a new toaster, but we will get one ordered, and will clean out the weeds (which grew in the previous 2 weeks). We will try to adress the other issues as well when we can find them.
Cora Street was a very easy place to stay. Everything we could have needed was there and the communication was a breeze. We will happily stay there again.
Fireplace was great to give added warmth. We struggled a bit with getting the toilets to flush completely and the washer was a bit tricky. Location was perfect for access to activited we did like the zoo and OMSI.

We really enjoy the fireplace on chilly nights as well. We're glad you enjoyed some of our favorite places in Portland.
(Low flow toilets are a little tricky, and this is the first time we've heard of an issue with the washer - thanks, we'll check it out.)
Clean and well-furnished, this house was a delight to stay at! We had everything we needed: kitchen supplies, towels, etc. The spaces were inviting and comfortable. My two friends and I enjoyed our stay very much.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your time in our townhome
We were in town to visit my son for his birthday. They live ten minutes away. The house was impeccably clean and new looking. Good location to visit sights around town and a cozy outdoor area to sit and have a drink.

About the host
Hosted by Carla Smith
We live in Eugene and enjoy having a home near our son in Portland. Our daughter also has an apartment downstairs so we can visit with family. We also have vacation homes in Bandon on the southern Oregon coast.
Why they chose this property
We love the quiet and pleasant neighborhood that is still close-in to downtown, the convention center, and not too far from the airport.
What makes this property unique
It has a pleasant feel with the private garden, plenty of parking, bedrooms and baths. We also love the gas fireplace in the winter, and the AC in the summer.
