Very good

The place worked great for our trip. Safe, secure, well located for everything. Some of the interior doors don't close very well. There was some road noise as the place is on a busy road. Somebody, a neighbor perhaps, was smoking grass outside. These may be a plus for some folks.
Check in was fine. Wi-Fi sketchy in one of the bedrooms, but fine in living room and other bedroom. Kitchen was equipped with water purifier and basic necessities. Access to town and hiking very good. Place could use some finer touches to make it more charming. The beds were comfortable. Too many steps for senior people.
The house is very minimal we brought a cot for our 3rd child. Beds were comfortable, bathroom door does not shut all the way, and the remotes for the TVs did not work. However the house is close to a quaint and interesting town that offers a lot to do and it is all in walking distance. A short drive and you have your choice between Skyline Drive or The Blue Ridge Parkway and lots of hiking.

The family renting out the home was incredibly kind and very responsive, even when I was having issues with the living room TV. They wanted to be sure I enjoyed the stay and felt comfortable.I will admit thought the pictures look nicer than the actually residence. While staying there, the mood was more dark (not as bright as the photos), a little grungy (reminding me of college life), and the bathroom was so tiny - especially the shower - I cannot recommend anyone larger than 5;5" and 130lbs rent the unit. I barely fit in the shower, but it got the job done and the host family provided me with clean towels and sheets. While this wasn't my most favorite or comfortable place to stay in, my dog and I still had a great experience in Waynesboro. We were walking distance to Main St, The River Walk, Skyline Drive for hiking, Metal Craft local coffee/wine/beer, nearby wineries and distilleries. The location and great host family are what made for a fun trip all around.
We stayed for my son’s graduation from FMS. Plenty of room for us! Living room was huge. We hosted some other family and friends. Charming older house. Short walk into town, farmers market, Kroger. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at this historic home in Waynesville. It was spacious and clean, in walking distance to restaurants and an adorable little coffee shop, Happ Coffee.
The hosts were very friendly, helpful, and responsive.
Check in and out was effortless. Parking was easy due to the parking lot behind the building as well as along the street beside the house. We loved that this home was dog friendly as we travel with our two small pups.
We visited several wineries as well as the Crozet Blue Ridge tunnel. We recommend parking at the East Trailhead near Afton (stop by Afton winery after the hike!). The West trailhead is great also but a farther walk to the tunnel and more rigorous.
This property lists for 8 guests but with 1 bathroom. We booked it for the family visiting us. There were issues with the bathroom that the door wasn’t getting locked and the toilet commode was leaking. There was no plunger available. We couldn’t use the bathroom the morning and had to look for alternatives. Very disappointing experience.
This apartment was in a vast old Waynesboro house. Lots of space, high ceilings. Decently equipped kitchen, bathroom basic (shower with not-great plastic curtain). Right next to the railroad tracks which we enjoyed, but there is definitely train horn noise. Good location to walk to Waynesboro restaurants. Wonderful communication from hosts, immaculately clean. We'll stay again!
Perfect location for visiting family for the holidays
Location was great. Communication and access instructions were perfect! A couple of issues that are easily remedied: - Neither TV worked. We replaced batteries in remotes (back covers of both remotes were missing). Batteries were not the issue.- Smoke detector twirls when overhead light is on but goes off when light is switched off. We used lamp in corner of room to avoid the noise. - There was a used/dirty bandaid on the living room floor.- Delivery pizza boxes were on the porch table when we checked in (with full, cold pizza inside. One week later and when I drove by… the two pizza boxes are still there. Other than those minor notes, everything was perfect! I would stay there again.
Charming Historical Apartment in a Prime Location – Perfect for Groups and Pets
We recently stayed at this Verbo property, and our experience was wonderful. The apartment was a perfect place for our group to regroup and relax. The building itself has a lovely historical charm, which added a unique touch to our stay. The laundry area was very clean, although we did notice that some of the surfaces in the building could use a little more attention. Additionally, we would recommend adding a few more mirrors, as there’s only one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom—this wasn’t quite enough for our larger group to get ready comfortably. One thing to note is that if you like extra blankets, it might be a good idea to bring your own, as the only blankets provided are already on the beds. The location of the property is fantastic. There’s a wonderful brewerie just a 5-minute walk away, and within a 15-minute drive or less, you can easily access brunch spots, Walmart, wineries, and distillery. It’s truly a great location for exploring the area. The house itself was very quiet, and we couldn’t hear any noise from other units, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay. We also brought our dog, and the property was very accommodating for her, which we really appreciated.Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area!
I think it felt much bigger in person than what was pictured. Both rooms are great sizes. Said sleeps 8 so we assumed the couch was big enough for two, but the couch is tiny. The remotes for the TV's were touchy and didn't always work. Also, the bathroom door is a pain to stay closed. The kids enjoyed the chalk way. We chose this VRBO due to the location of being close to the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were there less than 12 hours and greatly appreciate a rental being available for only one night.
The place is really nice on the inside. The neighborhood however is a little sketchy. When we arrived there were people on the front porch smoking and drinking which isn’t necessarily what you want to see. I was a little nervous since there was a rotation lock system meaning anyone who knew the code could get into the house. There’s also a random door in the house that seems to connect to the other section of the house owned by other people. The place was very clean towels were provided there was no soap, shampoo, or conditioner. The tv in the family was very small. Overall we had a great stay just some small things that may need some work

Thanks Victoria. I'm sorry you were met by people on the front porch. We do have other guests staying in the building at different private units. Thanks for the suggestions--we started renting and plan to add additional items to make our guests stay more comfortable. Thanks again and we hope you're able to return.

Kept my glasses
Couldn’t shut the bathroom door. That’s awkward Had to go Down a set of steps to get to porch with the other steps shown in picture. Door number didn’t match listing. They told me twice they’d send my prescription glasses. I even offered to pay postage. They never sent them. Very disappointed.
There was no light in the hall at the top of the stairs and no number on the door to indicate what unit was #6. There was a wet spot in the middle of the couch that smelled putrid so we couldn't sit on the couch. There was sand in the sheets on the bed so this indicated to us that no one washed the sheets after the previous occupant. There was no light in the laundry room and when I was feeling around on the wall for the light switch I got shocked when I came in contact with bare wires sticking out of the wall where the light switch should have been.

Overall disappointing
I was overall disappointed with our stay here. When we arrived the apartment had obviously not been cleaned (towels left on the bathroom floor, no sheets, crumbs all over the kitchen and a tip for housekeeping left on the table). This was 30min after the check in time (4:30pm) so we expected it to be ready. I reached out to the host and they did respond and send a house cleaning team out, but this meant we had to leave. My husband had planned on taking a quick nap before dinner and was not able to. I specifically asked the hosts if we could leave some food we brought in the fridge. They said it wouldn’t be a problem and they would let the housekeeper know. We left behind a custom birthday cake that had not been touched. We got a message that we could return to the house at around 7:30pm while we were at dinner. We ended up getting back to the house at 10:30 and my heart broke when I opened the fridge and discovered they had thrown away my birthday cake. I messaged the host and they apologized and said they would issue a refund. I sent over the bakery invoice via email and have yet to be refunded. We also noticed the sheets which were not put on the bed were actually too small for the bed. Our mattress was curled at the bottom after being jammed into the top sheet. At approximately 3:30am someone rang the doorbell repeatedly. As this apartment isn’t in a super nice area (but not awful) it really spooked us and I couldn’t fall back asleep. Overall it was a stressful start to the trip and I wouldn’t stay here again.
