Overall great stay. Property was very clean and as advertised. The neighborhood was concerning at first glance but it was very quiet and there were no issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for something in close proximity to the Riverwalk.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. The bed was comfortable and the decor was very cheerful. We had no problems checking in or out. We appreciated the water, coffee and snacks. It was close enough to walk to a lot of locations but we had to walk by many homeless people who were living under and on the pedestrian bridge.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much! It was very clean, which means a lot to me. We had everything we needed, and the little touches like snacks and drinks made our stay lovely. The neighbors are very friendly and helped us know what to expect for New Year's Eve. We watched fireworks from the Hays St. Bridge steps away from the house and enjoyed food and beer right down the road at the Alamo Beer Company. Thanks, Juan, for your hospitality!
We pulled up to the place and were a little put off by the neighborhood. We soon discovered this was an incorrect assumption. Juan was a most gracious host and the nicest guy ever! The place was charming, bed was very comfortable, amenities were great and within walking distance of a very nice neighborhood bar with great food! All in all a great experience.

We went and got a hotel after one night of a two night stay
My husband and I stayed at this property for a long weekend trip to San Antonio. The apartment was very clean and looked exactly as pictured in the listing. The apartment is located on a quiet street but still close to all of the downtown attractions. The bed was very comfortable and we would definitely stay again!
We stayed about a week here while in town for our son’s graduation from Basic Military Training, commonly called boot camp in our day. The listing was exactly as described and pictured. It was clean and well stocked, even a washer and dryer! Don’t expect brand new walls and carpeting. This is an old building and has painted floors, a little rough around the edges. BUT the owner really “went with the vibe,” in decor and we loved that. The bed was probably the most comfy I’ve ever slept in. We went to Texas in February, so we weren’t expecting blazing hot, but what we got was weather in the 30s. There is no central heat or A/C, but they do have window A/C and left four stand alone ceramic heaters. The first night there was comfy but all changed the next. The cleaning lady knocked on our door and gave us 2 more heaters and another blanket. It was nice and toasty. Visit the Alamo Brewery just a block away. Saturday night they had a fabulous blues band, and try the pulled pork. Anyway, we enjoyed the apartment (and hearing the rooster next door—we have chickens at home)!
This location is on the end of a street up to two pedestrian bridges, one leads down to the Alamo Bar, which is fun and flexible and on the hosts recommended list. Every place recommended was excellent and we had a wonderful time walking down historic San Antonio. It was easy for us to get to the Riverwalk and Alamodome. Highly recommend if you’re coming for a trip to either or those destinations.
Our stay was great, and we would love to come back. The decor is so much fun, and it’s close to fun stuff to do.
There was a bit of confusion on the check-in, but Juan was super responsive and the issue was resolved.
The house was comfortable for 2 people. We did not eat in, so can not rate the kitchen setup. The biggest surprise was window unit A/C's Have not had to fiddle with window units for over 50 years. The bed was comfortable. The one suggestion is to add wall switch to control ceiling fan in bedroom. For short people reaching the chain to turn out light was a challenge.
This property was amazing! If you are searching for the Ritz Carlton, this is not it, but if you are looking for a quaint, clean, place to stay, you NEED to stay here! Juan was an excellent host and helped us access the property with no issues. The home was clean, welcoming and spacious for the two of us. It is one bedroom, so there was plenty of room for me and my husband. The kitchen, living room, bathroom and dining areas were perfect. The home is within a mile of the Riverwalk. We walked to the Riverwalk in the morning and took an Uber back home in the evening. The Alamo Brewery and Restaurant is just down the street and it has wonderful food and beer. I will definitely be staying there again!
Great place to stay. Upstairs footsteps were a little noisy, but otherwise a wonderful place to stay. All the amenities & the location were great for me.
Great location for Visiting San Antonio. We had to contact the owner upon arrival because apparently we did not receive the email that stated how to get into the apartment. Thankfully the owner responded immediately to our email and gave us clear and concise instructions on how to enter the building and apartment. There are a few steps up to the building so heavy luggage was an issue. Parking is street only however there are plenty of spaces to park. And those are where the negative comments end. The building was quiet no dogs barking in the neighborhood, we had very restful and peaceful sleep while in San Antonio. Even though the temperature was over 100° Our apartment stayed nice and cool which was well appreciated. The apartment is centrally located so we were able to go out and do a little sightseeing and come back to the apartment and get out of the heat for a while then go back out multiple times a day for the three days we were there. I absolutely loved the Decour and decoration of the apartment. Very artful and represented San Antonio well. Accommodations were perfect and comfortable. I would choose this apartment anytime I visit San Antonio.
We loved our stay. The place is located next to a historic bridge, which was fun to walk across. The owner was very responsive whenever we needed anything. They provided some snacks and coffee, which was great. The entire flat is very creatively decorated. It was a fun place to stay in. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
This rental is amazing. We won’t stay anywhere but here for our trips to San Antonio. So many great things to say about the property and location. Thank you Juan for the best stay and rental we’ve had in a long time.
