"HappyNest at the lake" is a unique, private mountain getaway in the Town of Lake Lure which was chosen by Southern Living as the #1 lake town in the South!
With a view of beautiful Lake Lure and easy lake access, this stunning home is just a 3 minute stroll down the hill to a cove that is private to our small neighborhood.
Less than 10 minutes away are Chimney Rock State Park, the Lake Lure Marina and Beach, the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, the Rocky Broad River, restaurants, shops and other popular attractions. Guests frequently comment on our excellent location.
This three-story house has a very functional layout with bedrooms and baths on each floor. You can drive up to the first level, as well as up and around to the second (main) level. Thus, making it especially nice if stairs are an issue.
We’ve included a fun corn hole game, and 2 paddleboards down at the cove!
One of our favorite spots is the front porch, which we have furnished for dining and socializing where you can take in the views of Lake Lure and the surrounding mountains. Enjoy an early morning sunrise with fresh ground coffee on the porch or cook steaks on the gas grill with the fire pit going and the lake shimmering at dusk. Preparing a meal inside is also a dream with the thoughtfully equipped cook’s kitchen!
And be sure to check us out on Instagram!
We love life at Lake Lure in our "HappyNest" and are excited for you to be a part of it too!
This home is located in a mountainous area, and we have occasional power outages. Also, while we provide the best Wi-Fi that is available in our area, the internet can sometimes be slow if multiple devices are logged on at once. This is true for most homes located in the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area. We cannot be held responsible for possible electrical power outages, or if the internet is not working or is too slow, as these are circumstances beyond our control, and no refunds will be given.
While we rarely have heavy snows, if you are coming to the mountains in winter or early spring, you must be prepared for the possibility of some ice and/or snow.
PLEASE NOTE: Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting Jan 1, 2025 through March 15, 2025. The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day on Jan 1, 2025 until 20 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging and dock work will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage during this time frame. Refilling of the lake will begin on March 16, and will depend upon rainfall. During the drawdown, visitors will still be able to enjoy hiking, zip lining, gem mining, fishing in the Rocky Broad River, dining, shopping, and the beautiful mountain views that surround Lake Lure.
