This beautiful 5200 sq ft home can accomodate overnight occupancy of 10 adults and is ideal for family reunions, retreats or just a quiet getaway. Stunning lake views from nearly every room, 13 beds, large separate gathering spaces, and quick access to nearby hiking and biking trails, skiing and the beautiful sandy beaches at Meeks Bay Resort make this a perfect year-round spot to reconnect with nature, family and friends. We are situated 10 miles south of Tahoe City and 8 miles north of the iconic Emerald Bay. Amenities include a well appointed kitchen, Tesla destination charger, seating and service for 20, 3 fireplaces, a sunny southern exposure and an oversized deck overlooking the mountains and deep blue waters of the West Shore. great stay, beautiful view morning and evening lots of stuff in the house for family activities and close enough to the resorts to go out and play in the snow or winter sports ! very accomadating and fit our big family so we really appreciate a place that was able to do so. some things are a little warn and could use updating but it also is what gives the homey vibe. make sure you get clear instructions before hand so you arent scrambling like we were.

Amazing views, incredible host

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The views are breathtaking and the proximity to Meeks Bay provided exactly what we needed for a few days of relaxation. The hosts were very communicative, kind and informative. The teens loved the downstairs bedroom with so much space. Hands down, the best home we have rented in Tahoe.

Great house for family reunion

We had a multigenerational reunion that could not have happened without this rental. The host was super responsive. This is one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve seen in a short term rental.

Wonderful stay

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this beautiful home for our Lake Tahoe family vacation. The home was spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located. We enjoyed the phenomenal views and proximity to Lake Tahoe. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and all the beach supplies provided. Really I think this was the nicest vrbo rental I’ve even found for our family. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home with travelers!

Gorgeous house with gorgeous lake view

The lake view of this spacious, clean, stylish and tasteful house is unbeatable! I wish I could share the video and photos that I took at the sunrise from the family room and balcony. The kids LOVE the bunk room and the game room! And the host is so considerate and she put a lovely stuffed animal on each bunk bed which brought so much joy to the girls!

An annual family gathering was made all the more special here. This home, and it is very much a home, was the perfect setting for late night talks, family dinners, coffee with a view, and just minutes from both the lake and snowboarding. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent!

Best weekend at the best house!

We couldn't recommend this place more! We had a group of 11 girls out there for a long weekend getaway, and the place was absolutely perfect. This was probably the best share house we have ever been to, since it really can accommodate all of the guests without squeezing. The large dining table and the amenities were great. The beds were also super comfortable. Beyond that, Jean was such an incredible host. She basically helped us plan our entire (perfect) itinerary and made the entire trip a breeze. We all can't wait to come back in the future with our friends and families, since this is a great vacation home for all ages!

Summer Lake Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the lake. The view is amazing and we spent a lot of time staring at the gorgeous blue water of Lake Tahoe. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. There are three(!)washers and dryers, so we had plenty of capacity for laundry. The bunkhouse was so fun for all the kids as well as the gameroom - they spent many hours perfecting their shuffleboard game. We visited the Meeks Bay beach park and enjoyed paddleboarding there. We had a great time at the lake - thank you!

Beautiful View!

It was very easy to work with Annette to organize the rental of this property. She was very responsive as well as helpful, providing directions and suggestions. The home is beautiful! You can tell that it is owned by a family. There are many benefits and details of staying in a property owned and used by a family. These range from board games in the living area to spices in the kitchen. The home is fantastic as a whole and include some recent renovations and updates. The kids LOVED the 8 bed bunk room and the parents loved the plentiful bathrooms/showers and washing machines. The home has a beautiful view of the lake and we really enjoyed the full moon shining across the lake directly into the living room, gorgeous! We found the location of the house to be perfect. It was quiet, outside the hustle bustle of both north and south lake tahoe but only a very short ride away from small resaurants/deli's and convienence stores. We spent a lot of time at Meek's Bay. It you visit during the summer time you will really enjoy this location for a relaxing day at the beach! Our whole group, ages ranging from 9 years old to 64 years old gave this home a 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you!

Post wedding family trip

Jean was great. She helped our large family (15) have a great time. The cousins had fun sleeping together in the bunk room. This home is large and very well equipped. The long dining table sat 16. We were excited to see the occasional bear in the neighborhood. Overall a great home in a great location with great owners.

Two Sacramento families purchased this property in 2013. We treasure our time in the mountains and enjoy getaways with our families and friends. Both families enjoy boating, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and biking so we are heading to the mountains year-round. It's always a great place to rejuvenate and as we like to say, "There's always room for one more!" We might be flexible with our calendar so if you have a specific need please contact us.

Why they chose this property

Our Tahoe location and home offers something for every age and vacation style. Some prefer to just relax on the deck and take in the stunning lake and mountain views. The more adventurous go to Meeks Bay Resort (a 10 minute walk) to go boating, tubing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. The hiking and biking trailheads are also within walking distance and Homewood Ski Resort is about a 5 minute drive away. After enjoying Tahoe's adventures, the evening highlight is gathering around the dining room table (which seats 20) or, in the summer months, appetizers and dinner on the deck. There are many rooms to gather in so you never feel overcrowded or noise overload. Larger rooms include an oversized Dining Room, Family Room, Game Room and two decks on separate levels.
