Glacier Ridge - Chalet on Divide Ridge overlooking Glacier Park & St Mary Lakes

Glacier Ridge Chalet is a two story style home, built on an acreage on Hudson's Bay Divide Ridge overlooking St. Mary Lake. The chalet is positioned on a scenic overlook point on land settled by Jack Wagner in early 1900’s and is based on a private 180 acre land parcel.

This home is one of the most unique hand crafted dwellings in the Babb/St. Mary area. Amazing local wildlife that will make it feel like your own private zoo. The highlight is a hot tub with a 270° view of Glacier Park, the Rockies and Chief Mountain and dark sky for star gazing and contemplation.

The area is a wildlife corridor with elk, deer, moose, horses, and bear frequently observed right outside your door, from the hot tub or the over-sized fire pit area. This is a great venue for a peaceful vacation or for multiple families to connect.

The Glacier Ridge chalet has 3 rooms that can sleep 8. The downstairs bedrooms have twin bunks over the lower queen beds. The chalet is child friendly and situated completely off leash. There is a sofa and air mattress which sleeps 2 more.

The upstairs area is handcrafted wood with ample seating for all guests with 300° of window expanse that allows viewing of the entire Babb/St. Mary area. There is a small upper deck for animal viewing and star gazing. The chalet is located in a Dark Sky zone allowing for incredible start gazing and occasional viewing of the Northern Lights to the North in late summer through the fall.

Glacier Ridge is 1 km down a private road from the renowned Duck Lake Lodge. The lodge offers a full restaurant, pizza oven and road house bar with local entertainment a few nights during the week. Glacier Ridge is located 5 km outside of Babb and 12 km outside of St. Mary. Cellular coverage is by both Verizon, Rogers and limited AT&T networks.

The Chalet is on the West side of Divide Ridge and overlooks the West Rockies. Spectacular Sunset viewing location.

This property is amazing & the host is phenomenal. We loved staying on the east side of Glacier because every area of the park, as well as Waterton Lakes was way more accessible. The property is exactly as advertised & the host does a fantastic job on helping you get to the location, as well as helpful tips for your visit. If you’re going to Glacier you’ll find it hard to land a better spot than this. 10/10 & we hope to visit again sometime soon.

My now wife and I honeymooned here, it was the perfect stay! Great view of the mountains, wonderful spending time in the hot tub after long days of hiking. Beautiful property! We had such a lovely evening relaxing and enjoying the views. The cabin was cozy and welcoming. The pellet stove kept us toasty when the spring rain rolled through. The location is prime for accessing the east side of Glacier and offers a lot of peace and solitude. We’ll definitely be back!

I am an outdoor enthusiast whom fell in love in both Glacier and Waterton National Parks when I was a child. I jumped at the chance to purchase this unique property when it came available from a grand child of Jack Wagner, a historic pioneer of this area.

Why they chose this property

The home is located on a scenic overlook meadow on land settled by Jack Wagner in early 1900's. The land is has numerous natural springs which supply small ponds and creeks a natural wildlife corridor.

The East side of the Rockies has extensive wilderness. I enjoy the ability to fish, hike, kayak within a few minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Amazing peace can be found here away from the hustle and bustle of Glacier Park.

The panoramic views of the Rockies and Babb/St Mary corridor has no equal to any other vacation home in the area.

The Glacier Ridge acreage is peaceful with beautiful view of the Eastern Rockies and incredible dark sky for sky gazing. The property is almost like staying inside a zoo. There is resident moose, bears, deer, fox, elk, in the forest in and around the acreage.
