HAVE YOU EXPERIENCED THE STARS IN MONTANA?
We have been in the valley for almost 50 years, love the land, the people and the entire park in general! My parents had a place on the majestic St Mary lake where we grew up in the wild every weekend and 2 months every summer exploring all the hidden gems glacier park had to offer. We built our getaway on Duck lake in 2006 for the fishing, wildlife and the utter beauty of the Montana rocky mountains just for our 3 boys to have the same upbringing I had. Now as they are getting older and moving in their own directions our place seems to be empty more and more of the time. We are happy to open up our piece of paradise to explorers of all types to experience a piece of life in Montana's wilderness.
The property is fully chain linked fenced keeping you safe while watching the boundless wildlife with views from all directions. over 100ft beach with clean weed free water (swear its the best fishing area on the lake) a dock, 2 fire pits one on the beach one in the trees for the windy days. The loft cabin we are offering is brand new. It is super unique, rustic and modern in every way. We have an assortment of kayaks, canoes and all kinds of water sports and fishing gear, welcome for everyone to use. Our main cabin is also on the property yet your stay will be quiet and relaxing, as were only usually there on weekends and for cleaning.
We just just added an inflatable air bed just to add a little more comfort for a larger group.

Great Views and Friendly Hosts!

The lake house was a nice place to stay close to Glacier NP. Quiet and had everything we needed for a short stay. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Would recommend!

Peaceful Getaway

Perfect Quiet Spot Near Glacier

We loved our time at Duck Lake! We will never forget the hospitality shown by Abby and Anna. It was the beaten path with the most beautiful view of the lake. Access to fishing was a HUGE win for our family!

Great time at a great location with great hosts.

We had a great stay. Abby and Anna were very helpful and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we were well taken care of. Our son had a blast fishing in the lake for rainbow trout and it was a nice bonus to be able to take the kayaks out on the lake during our downtime. Would recommend and would happily stay there again despite the rough road to get to the property.

Great location!

We enjoyed the tranquility of this location. We have previously stayed at another location here on the lake and this one gets a much higher rating from us. If you want a place to stay near Glacier that is quite with all the features of a home away from home, this is your place! The road getting here is a little rough, but you have to consider the location to be the reward. Great stay!

Great spot near GNP

So clean and more room than the pictures showed! We loved the lake and being close to the park. It has AC too which was nice, it was really hot when we were there. Kitchen had very nice equipment and we used the grill several times. Loved staying here!

Great Base for Glacier Exploration

It is a beautiful property - and everything about it appeared like it was just built! Inside there were so many little things that might be needed stashed away and ready to be used. We loved Getaway Glacier. The loft was very nicely decorated, comfortable & well stocked. It was a short drive to Many Glacier & St Mary. Abby & Anna were amazing…very friendly & helpful. Chuck caught 5 fish right in front of their property. We hope to return some day!

Glacier Getaway - excellent property and delightful hosts!

Excellent property - loft, access to Duck Lake with boats/kayaks/paddle board/fishing rods, etc. provided by hosts, beautiful views of Many Glacier area of Park…and delightful hosts!! - friendly, tips on where to view wildlife (during our stay we saw 3 bears and 3 moose!!), their love for the area showed in their conversations with us. Would definitely stay there if/when we return to Glacier.

Relaxing Retreat

This property is exceptional! Very clean and comfortable for our family of four. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and clean. Great location for easy access to parks and rec. The hosts were very accommodating, friendly and generous. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful Stay

We absolutely loved our stay! Abby and Anna were incredibly kind and quick to respond to any questions I had about the reservation. We were able to find the home quickly, which was in a perfect location to go to the east side of Glacier National Park in the morning (around a 20 minute drive). The home itself was absolutely stunning with beautiful, custom details / features including resin woodwork around the home. We loved the proximity to the lake and ended up kayaking one day and eating outside to enjoy the view. At night, we also enjoyed the beautiful, star-studded night sky with glimpses of the aurora in September. We loved our stay and can't wait to visit again!

Nice Loft and Secluded Location with Views

Beautiful space, everything is new, a lot of extra items were supplied. Large deck with nice views of the lake, surrounding hillsides and the mountains of GNP. Firepits and lake frontage was great. Short drive to GNP Many Glacier and Saint Mary entrances. Abby and Anna did everything they could to make our 8 day stay outstanding.

New friends for life!

Duck Retreat

We had a fabulous time staying at Abby and Anna’s Duck Lake Loft. Their hospitality and generosity exceeded our expectations. It is a great retreat after spending long days at Glacier National Park. Abby and Anna share a beautiful loft with all of the amenities! Arriving to a impeccably clean ‘home away from home’ place to stay with every detail thought of was the perfect way to end our trip to GNP. We kayaked, fished, used the trolling boat and enjoyed a wonderful few days. I cannot wait to plan a return trip! The loft was close to Babb as well as the entrances to Many Glacier and St. Mary. I highly recommend On The Shores!
