Dirty dishes. Don't park in the garage!
The owner worked hard to make the house nice, but our first impression was finding out that the garage door was out of balance as we backed our truck into the garage. The door unexpectedly came down on the hood of the truck. A month later, we're still working with the owner to arrange payment for the repairs.
All of the cookware was dirty. Even the Keurig and the coffee maker had to be scrubbed out before use. The owner did provide new frying pans when a 12 inch pan was requested.
The house is set up for 7 to sleep in bedrooms, but originally had only 6 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash cloths. Since we had 4 adults staying at the house, we had to request more towels. One wash cloth for two adults to share is not sufficient. The owner provided two large bags of towels and wash cloths later on the same day. The couple staying in the second bedroom felt the need to wash the bedding prior to sleeping the first night due to what appeared to be grease stains on the sheets.
The furniture looks nice in the pictures, but is all old and worn down.
It was nice to find the fridge stocked with bottled water, and there was also a basket of snacks left on the counter. That helped to make us feel welcome.
