My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding Anniversary and the Cabin was just what we needed.... we didn't want to be around a crowd so this intimate staycation was an excellent decision. Everything was labeled to help us around the Cabin.... I give it a 10 out of 10
This was an amazing cabin. Clean and well stocked. Great location to town. Only issue we had were the beds were very hard and the water quit working. I would still stay again just bring something for the bed
Excellent location, great for families
Confirm check-in with southern comfort rentals, Vrbo states 3pm but rental company did not let us enter till 4pm,
Not totally clean when arrived, throw blanket in living room not washed and coffee grounds still in coffee maker
Place and location a 5 but with lack of cleanliness would give it a 3 1/2
This cabin is beautiful, secluded and was clean. The only issue we had was that the remotes for the televisions were not working and there were multiple remotes which was confusing.
Overall great 3 day getaway in the mountains. Would recommend
Loved the cabin . Pros : screened deck w fireplace , multiple decks, hot tub, game room, pretty close to town
Cons: master shower was not working, indoor fireplace not working, was hoping for a bit better view of mountains, zero condiments, paper towel, laundry det, etc.
We came here for my best friends bachelorette party & we had the best time!! This cabin is absolutely stunning. We loved everything about it! We had such a great time hanging out and used the hot tub once which was also very nice. Only complaint are all the spiders on the outside near the pool & I believe one of the girls said the light to the shower was out on the upstairs (master). Besides that we really enjoyed our time here and recommend it! We planned to come back to this same cabin every year as our bachelorette party anniversary❤️
This was a great house in every way. The house is located in a very secluded area in the mountains but only a short drive to the store which comes in handy. The house has everything you could ask for from the game room downstairs, the wrap around porch with swings and rocking chairs, all the fireplaces. The bedrooms were all perfect with one on each floor and a bathroom on each floor was great! The master was perfect with a loft and desk that was perfect for getting some reading and work done. There are a lot of things to do outdoors close by like walk around the Blue Ridge Lake and hike up Fall Brook Falls to see the waterfall. The house is a short 20 min. drive to Tennessee and North Carolina was a bonus too!! Definitely recommend it for anyone with a larger family looking for a mountain getaway

Nice house and good location
We loved the house! Driveway pictures were a little misleading. Definitely not enough spaces for up to 4 cars. I drove my pickup and had trouble maneuvering the parking area to be able to get back down driveway. I figured out the best way in and out just before we left. We had some issues with check-in since our code didn't work and we were not able to reach anyone. Luckily, we found an unlatched door downstairs.
The house was perfect for our little group and we enjoyed all of the porches and hot tub, and the kids even used the campsite grill for s'mores. Liked that the location was pretty central to everything. Do wish the beds in the master and the entry level were a little softer and that there was a Keurig coffee maker, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Nice cabin in Aska area
We were originally going to have our 3 adult children join us and each one canceled at different times so we did not need a place that was so big. We very much enjoyed our stay. We didn’t use the kitchen or most of the bedrooms/bathrooms but it is very nice and would definitely accommodate the 6 people it lists it would. It was a gorgeous private setting with mountain views from the top floor. Lots of wildlife seen while driving in and out of this community. Very close the town. I do recommend. To management: The provided code to get in the door did not work so we had to call the after hours number and wait for 19 minutes for a return call. This was not ideal after a 9+ hour drive. Once called back they gave us a new number and that worked. One of the numbers on the keypad was not as sensitive as the others and would not register that number. I think it was the number one.
It was a great experience!!! The drive is steep but wasn’t a problem for us, parking was easy after we did it once or twice. We checked in early and calling them for that was a super easy process! My now Fiancé proposed to me on the middle deck by the fireplace and it was sooo sweet!! 💍 Wish on the middle deck you could see the Mountains but you can always goto the top decks to see them! I loved how each couple had their own floor!! The pool table was definitely a hit for the guys they played nonstop! Be careful with the hot tub due to the chemicals, it dyed some of our swimsuits but I’m sure it’s an easy fix of not putting so much chlorine in it. Also there are hornets out there but as long as you ain’t bothering them they didn’t bother us, besides the guys having a hay day killing some of them so they could go out the bottom leave door (Hornet Killer didn’t work). OVERALL it was a great experience!! It’s nothing we couldn’t deal with ourselves and didn’t wanna bother any one.
If you are looking for a secluded spot to rest and recharge, this is it! The neighbors are hard to see, which is not always the case with cabin rentals. We loved the outdoor spaces, screened from bugs and the ability to catch the sun all times of day. The outdoor wood fireplace was a favorite spot. We also enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. There were lots of games, puzzles and streaming services. The wifi was good, and the kitchen was fully equipped, even with a functioning barbecue. It is time for a new can opener - don't bring things in cans, or bring your own opener. We were close (10 minutes) to downtown Blue Ridge and a short drive to some hiking trails. The Welcome centre in Blue Ridge was very helpful with maps and suggestions about the area. This is a spot to be as busy or as lazy as you like. Although we enjoyed the area's offerings, our best time was spent enjoying each other's company at the cabin. So peaceful! We saw deer on the property as a special treat one morning. The rental agency was very friendly, providing lots of information before arrival and during our stay. Check-in/ out was a breeze! We found our 4-wheel drive beneficial to get up the driveway. Our gauge in the truck indicated a 14% grade. Paved, but imagine it is even trickier in poor weather. Thanks for a great stay!
Overall the cabin was Great. Padding for the beds, clear spider webs out the top bedroom, better pots and pans, and replace buds on bottom deck. Customer service was Amazing. I would stay here again
Our first disappointment came when we received the paperwork confirming our rental and it had a different check-in time from the VBRO description. VBRO listed it as 3 pm and the rental contract said 4 pm. When we asked about this change, I was told that due to COVID they needed extra time to clean. Fair enough but I noticed as that no one was staying at the property for a couple days prior so they should have allowed the 3 pm check-in.
Upon arrival the lights were on and TV was playing music so it would appear someone from the management company had come ahead of us to set the arrival scene. What was NOT nice was that the AC was not on and it was 85 degrees outside. When we went to turn the AC down, we discovered the thermostat wasn’t showing anything – no temperature reading – nothing. Numerous calls to try to get maintenance people out were made till finally we got a response.
Maintenance determined the AC had been turned off at the fuse box and got it running again. We next encountered that the AC wouldn’t cycle off – and if the thermostat was set at 74 it still ran continuously and got as low as 67 during the evening.
The place has a tremendous amount of potential but clearly needs some TLC. Pots and Pans are old and stained. The kitchen counters and cabinets are old and need replacing/updating. Appliances were nice.
The property is really missing all the “little things” one comes to expect these days. Perhaps the management company should watch the HGTV show, “Vacation House Rules” . It’s the little things that get people recommending a property and coming back. The bath towels were very rough. No bar soap provided in the showers, no shampoos/conditioners. When we pulled the sheets off at the end of the stay we discovered they don’t put mattress covers on their beds – something that can provide an extra layer of comfort to a person. Additionally, I don’t traditionally watch TV while on vacation but I know a lot of people will. The TV’s were small for a property of this size and price.
My big issue is I suspect their had been an issue previously with the AC which is why it was turned off that way and secondly when someone came to prep the home for our arrival – with the lights on and music on why didn’t they catch that the AC was not on and you couldn’t even turn it on from the thermostat? The mgmt. company has offered me 20% off a future rental – why would we come back?
