Spacious beach cottage with open floor plan on Sargent Island, walk through the back yard and you are on the beach. The surf fishing is great. Fishing, shelling, bird watching, crabbing or just enjoy the surf. Come put your feet up on the beach front deck with your favorite beverage and watch the sunrise while enjoying an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico and Sargent Beach. We want to provide you a vacation home of your dreams, where you can relax and enjoy your getaway.
Discover unspoiled Sargent Island where the fishing is great, sunrises spectacular, and crowds are elsewhere.
Island Beach Retreat offers 3 bedrooms 1queen/1double/1king (linens provided)also a sleeper sofa that can sleep 2.
1 bath (bath towels/wash cloths for in house use only)

There are 2 security cameras on the exterior of the property. These are never reviewed unless there is a problem there.
Pet friendly. Signed rental agreement is due upon booking. $175.00 NON-REFUNDABLE PET FEE PER PET. CANCELLATION POLICY IS 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. However, if cancelled within 30 days and property can be re-rented rent will be refunded in full. If only a portion of the dates can be rented stay will be pro-rated and returned to guest. DUE TO GUEST NOT FOLLOWING CHECK OUT GUIDELINES. WE WILL NOW HAVE A CHECK OUT FORM AT THE HOUSE TO CHECK OFF AND SIGN UPON CHECK-OUT. lf guidelines are not followed it will result in your credit card being charged and additional cleaning fee of $175. When accepting the rental agreement and check out instructions you are agreeing to this extra charge if necessary.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Wash all dishes in sink and dishwasher and put up. Wash all towels, dish towels, dry and put up Laundry. Laundry tabs and dishwasher tabs are supplied for this.
To wash personal laundry bring detergent. Sweep floors. Strip beds and place in front of washer. Please note how you find the house and leave it as close to the same as possible.
Pets are not allowed on furniture but if fur is on sofa clean it up. This is our piece of heaven and our family visits often please treat it as you would your own.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
NO BBQING, GRILLING, OR FIRES OF ANY KIND ON THE DECK OR UNDER THE DECK. PLEASE READ CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS, FAILURE TO FOLLOW WILL RESULT IN NEGATIVE

I wasn’t going to post a review because I was just going to brush it off but since we are being charged for something we didn’t even do I’m posting. This place was dirty, the toilet had hair all over it when we arrived, sand in the beds. The sliding doors are so hard to open they almost come off of the track. Bring extra trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels because what they give you doesn’t last. Also they have you wash dry and fold the towels so you better bring laundry soap because they don’t supply that.

My initial sensory hit upon entering this Vrbo was 'quiet' & 'peaceful.' Windows are abundant in this Vrbo, ALL with great views of the coastal waters and nature. There aren't any homes nearby, I mean, there are neighbors, but there is ample space between the homes. We found everything needed in the kitchen to prepare the food we brought with us. The indoor and outdoor table seating offered options depending on the sun's angle and temp.

The place has potential but it so so dirty and one of the beds smell like sour linen. The coach was full toenails/fingernails and pet hair. The coach is terrible and feels like you are sitting on wood. The bathroom needs work and the entire house needs a deep cleaning. I almost was not able to stay due to it being so dirty. If it was clean and had a clean couch it would have been a good stay. View was nice and the spot was peaceful.

Right on the beach. Walk across yard with no busy streets to cross and you are on the beach. Surf fishing is great. Crabbing is great. No crowds almost like having your own private beach. Shelling is spectacular.
