Situated on the quiet and serene East End of St. John, Milk Moon Cottage is a private oasis overlooking the British Virgin Islands. The cottage features striking views, convenience to East End beaches, and plenty of amenities to make guests feel right at home.

Milk Moon boasts a well-equipped kitchen, suitable for making meals during a relaxing evening in. The living area offers air conditioning, a large couch with views, a large screen 4K TV, and a desk.

The full bath connected to the living room area is newly updated.

Perfectly suited for couple’s getaway or two couples traveling together, the cottage offers one bedroom on the main level of the house, and an additional bedroom on the lower level by the pool.

The primary bedroom on the main level of the house features a King-sized bed, air conditioning, dresser, and closet.

The second bedroom, which is accessible via exterior steps, offers a Queen-sized bed, closet, and air conditioning. A second full bathroom with outdoor shower serves the lower-level bedroom and pool deck.

At Milk Moon, the furnished decks and front covered porch are the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as the sun rises or a cocktail as the sun begins to set. The outdoor propane grill is perfect for the dine-in nights on the front or back porches.

The large, completely private pool with scenic views is a wonderful spot to soak up the sun or take a refreshing dip after exploring the nearby beaches.

Milk Moon Cottage also provides guests with a variety of beach gear, including beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, and cooler with ice packs. We recommend renting snorkel gear and fins from either Beach Bum in Cruz Bay or Crabby's Watersports in Coral Bay.

The location of the cottage promises complete tranquility. Both Hansen & Haulover Bays are five minutes away, offering amazing snorkeling and plenty of beach lounging space.

A 15-minute drive along the water leads you to the town of Coral Bay. Various restaurants (many with live music), a grocery store, mini mart, and shops are all located within quaint Coral Bay. The beaches of the North Shore (including the notable Maho Bay, Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay and more secluded Francis Bay) are 25 minutes away.

Please note that we have three NEST cameras in the driveway/parking area. These cameras record movement in the driveway and front gate, do not record sound and do not interfere with our guest’s privacy.

Amazing location

We had the most lovely time staying at Milk Moon over Christmas. It’s perfectly situated with the most amazing view of the Caribbean and the BVI. It was so clean, well equipped for beach and cooking needs, and we had a magnificent time!

Slice of paradise

Such a beautiful place! Super clean, incredible views (best open-air shower view ever), very comfortable, all the amenities. It was actually hard for us to get ourselves to leave to go to all the amazing beaches around. Bonus was having access to two beaches that only houses in the area have access to. Would absolutely go back without hesitation.

This location was on the very quite East side of the island. It was a perfect location for a getaway enjoying the view. The east winds are stronger on this side of the island but made for a nice breeze with the doors open.

Great place with a view to remember

Well maintained property with a great view. Nice little private beach that offers good snorkeling. Pool is very nice. The only thing you need to remember is that the house is on the far east end of the island. The pro is it’s a peaceful place. The con is you gotta drive to places. But there is nothing wrong just by the pool and taking in the views.

The house is overlooking Privateer Bay. The sunrises are stunning! The house is a bit of a drive from Cruz Bay to get there, but it is well worth it! The house had a ton of amenities. Overall it was a great place. We would love to go back!

Our family (mom, dad, Kathryn-14, Asher-12) stayed at Milk Moon cottage on St. John January 1-5. It could not have been better. We loved the secluded east end. The cottage was clean and had all the comforts of home plus what must be the greatest view n the Caribbean! There was ample space for the four of us. The weather was perfect! Thanks!

Milk Moon Cottage is a great location if you want amazing views and to get away from it all! When we arrived the cottage was in spotless condition and very well stocked with what we needed. Emily was an excellent host; very communicative when we had any questions before or during our stay. 45th anniversary

I wanted something special to surprise my wife for our 45th anniversary and the Milk Moon did not disappoint us with its surroundings and location. It’s well furnished and cared for and was the perfect size. It is also located on the quiet side of the island which allowed us to just relax, have breakfast while watching the sunrise or a quiet dinner for two. Everyone should go to the Milk Moon at least once in their life.

Most relaxing visit

This was our 5th trip to STJ and it was our 4th time staying on the east side of the island. This East End location was by far the most isolated (in the best way) and tranquil stay so far. We were familiar with the East End area as Hansen Beach is our favorite island beach and this villa is a mere 5 minutes to this and also Haulover bays. The drive up to the villa was also easy compared to those villas in Coral Bay that are up the hill.The house was very well set up and very well appointed, especially in the kitchen when other hosts fall short. The views out to BVI were amazing and the amount of boat traffic can keep one entertained for hours. The pool was very warm, not sure if it was heated, but the fact that it was saltwater was a bonus.This was a terrific experience and I recommend this villa to anyone looking for a nice quiet stay and who don't mind the extra little drive out of Coral Bay for peace and quiet.

Was just what we needed

This was our 6th trip to St John. We started the trip out staying at a Villa near Cruz Bay and moved to Milk Moon for 4 more days. All I can say is I sure wish all 11 days were at Milk Moon. The home is on the quiet east end of St John .It however was easily accessed, unlike some other homes we have rented. The pool was a perfect temperature and the home was nicely decorated. The caretakers, Catherine and Clark do a wonderful job of keeping Milk Moon spotless. They quickly answered any question that came up. I highly recommend Milk Moon, we will be back. Oh forgot to mention , the view is phenomenal.

We visited St. John at the end of May and spent an amazing week in Milk Moon Cottage. The cottage, furnishings and descriptions are all exactly as pictured and promised. The view overlooking Privateer Bay and the ocean breezes up on the hill are beyond compare. It's a magical place. The porch is awesome for morning sun, the pool gives you a way to cool off, and the owners provide all you need to explore the island (cooler, chairs, towels). Clark & Cathy were wonderful to work with and communicated all details clearly. It was so helpful to have Clark meet us at the ferry and drive us to the house on the East End along the twisty, turny left-side driving roads! The cottage is definitely at the far end of the island, away from all the hustle and bustle, but that's what we like. Coral Bay is charming and has everything you need. We only went back to Cruz Bay once during the week. St. John is such a lush island with so many critters running around above ground and beautiful creatures underwater. We explored so many amazing beaches with awesome snorkeling right off the beach. We loved Waterlemon Bay, Francis, Maho, Trunk, Hawksnest, and Vie's Beach on Round Bay. Skinny Legs bar and the Donkey Diner both had great food, and we enjoyed delicious seafood at Miss Lucy's. Can't say enough good things. We didn't want to leave and wish we could go back already! Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with the rest of us!

Great stay super remote!!

If you are looking for a great 1 bedroom house that is way off the beaten path then you have found it! We just stayed 8 days in Milk Moon and loved every second of it. Waking up to no one around was a huge plus! Cruz bay is about 40-45 minutes away so plan your days well. Loved Milk Moon!

Great little cottage

It was just me and the wife on this trip and we wanted to try out the East End. This villa totally met our expectations. The East End is WAY out there, but you're in St John, so you're not in a hurry. There's a house up the hill that you share a drive with, but this is a very quiet location. Other reviews said it was breezy... it happened to be a bit windier than typical on the island during our stay, and "breezy" would be an understatement. We only ran the A/C at night in the bedroom; didn't need it at all in the living area. At the pool level, it's a bit more sheltered from the wind. One bonus: no mosquitos! The kitchen is small, but we knew that from the photos. It had everything we needed. Our interaction with management was minimal - good communication before the trip; we wanted for nothing while we were there so we were left alone. You can't ask for more than that! The view is great. Gorgeous sunrises! I would definitely come back.
