We had the entire property and the quite large lake to our selves. Canoes were available and so were the fishing rods. Perfect property! Will stay here again.
Family trip and first time to Alaska. Of the three places we stayed, this one was our favorite! The views were amazing, we enjoyed the amenities, and the location is close enough to plenty of things to do. I’d recommend this place to anyone traveling to Alaska and I hope to visit again one day.
Hands down the best place my family has ever stayed at. Everything you could want this place has. The beauty is breathtaking and the cabin is amazing! We wish we owned the place to be there all the time! Highly recommend and the owner is great too!
The chalet was very nice, clean and had everything that we needed. The view is priceless and the swans, loons and other species of birds were delightful. The American bald eagle was awesome!
We enjoyed the game room activities and the games in the chalet.
If I could give this property more than a 5 star I would! We stayed for 10 days in July (3 adults, 2 older teens) This property is everything you are looking for if you want to experience true Alaska! The views of the lake and mountains every morning were the highlight of our trip. We saw a moose in the lake, swans, eagles, ducks. It has plentiful trout in the lake as well. The property is very private/remote but at the same time only 20min from the town of Palmer where there is everything you’d need. The road is a bit rough and driveway steep but still fine for a car in the summer. In Palmer Fred Myers has groceries and apparel, also nearby restaurants and delicious ice cream at the Big Dipper. The camp has 3 bedrooms; two have queen beds with a twin bunk above, the upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and twin. There are 2 full bathrooms. Tv has several streaming options (but I don’t think you’ll want to watch tv here!). Cabin has all the necessities and was clean. Communication with owner was great and responsive. Wish there was laundry on site but honestly it wasn’t a big deal and we found that the laundromat in Palmer, Idita Wash, has laundry service for 2/pound. They wash/dry and fold it for you and can have it done quickly. This property is a gem! We are already planning our next stay here!! Don’t hesitate to rent this cabin!!! ( pictures are on the property)
This cabin was a favorite for our trip! It is clean and beautiful and the views are stunning! The game room is great and the kids spent most of the time on the lake. It was so peaceful and beautiful here. We will definitely be back soon!
We had the most amazing time at the Alaska Lodge. Jonathan was so wonderful — kind and helpful and very welcoming. The lodge could not be any more beautiful, and it is centrally located to fishing, glacier hikes, Denali, and all of the fun activities in the area. We plan to go back as soon as we can!
My Wife and I chose to stay here to celebrate her 40th birthday with four of our friends. It’s was absolutely perfect! Jonathan is an outstanding property owner who went way above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. In fact he even offered to stage the cabin with flowers for my wife! The property is gorgeous and so serene... I would absolutely recommend to friends and family who are looking for a quiet place to get away and enjoy the wilderness.
Our family wish we were at Lazy Mountain more than one night. It is BEAUTIFUL! everything you would ever want. The Lake is amazing, bean bags, hot tub. Saw a moose from the deck and swabs. Lauren the house manager was so sweet and helpful. If ever in Alaska again will for sure stay here again. Thank you
Beautiful property on big lake with stunning Mt views. Swans with 7 cygnets and loons calling on the tranquil lake this morning. Also lots of fish jumping in evening and morning. Would have loved to kayak but ran out of time.
New owner Greg gives great customer service and communication.
The VRBO website was messed up tho and did not get good customer service from their phone staff in Africa.
Needs some more amenities like pots and pans that aren't scraped and burnt. Laundry facilities. Better water pressure. View and location spectacular.Kayaks great
Wonderful. I like how Kierra is onsite to ask questions and help when needed. Great hosts, view and things to do cornhole, hot tub, kayak, small boat, ping pong, darts, internet. A lot of adventures in the area. Some mosquito's but not bad bring spray or lotion.
We had the most amazing time at the lodge! The kids loved sledding and the adults couldn’t get enough of the hot tub while taking in the snowy white gorgeous views! The running joke was “what has Bob Ross painted for us today?” The views were breathtaking and Johnathan couldn’t have been more accommodating!
The chalet is absolutely beautiful!! Do visit here
We had a wonderful stay here! The chalet is very beautiful and very cozy. Johnathan was super responsive and extremely kind to help us with some of our requests. We came during march and Johnathan was so generous to plough the driveway multiple times so that its safe for us to drive. He provided us with wonderful recommendations for places to visit. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place.
We planned to spend 1 night in the Palmer area but after finding this cabin we ended up booking it for 3 nights…we just hoped it lived up to the pictures and descriptions. The cabin ended up exceeding our high expectations! Beautiful cabin, fun amenities, away from everything (but not too far away), outstanding views, clean, friendly hosts…definitely the highlight of our trip! Our family loved it. Thank you!!!
The property is beautiful and well maintained. Beds are comfy, kitchen is well stocked. And the view! I loved hearing the loons in the morning and watching the swans swim around. Jonathan is a great host. He made our stay very comfortable.
Wished we could have stayed longer. It was a quick overnight stop but we made time to go out on the lake and see the swans. It was a beautiful secluded spot.
What an amazing view from the cabin. Mountains and lake with swans and loons and trout jumping. Cabin was cute and comfy with 3 bedrooms. Hot tub felt wonderful after a long day at Hatchers Pass.
Jonathan was so great to work with. We would love to visit again someday!

beautiful spot
Beautiful spot. Lovely quiet lake. I would have appreciated some chairs to sit on the beautiful balcony there was one small swing. It was very hot in the upstairs bedroom and no way to open windows for a breeze the box fan was not enough. The road to the property is very rough to get to the property. Beautiful views however, peaceful.
We were thrilled to stay at this lodge and the whole ambiance and service was excellent!
We wish we could have stayed longer. It was an outstanding and wonderful experience for our family.

Why they chose this property
Most of the people in town have no idea Wolverine Lake exists. We are at the end of a 9 mile road that is not heavily traveled. Even if you did go all the way out the road, the lake can't be seen from the roadway. The public access has never been developed so this is a hidden lake with virtually no use.
What makes this property unique
This is a unique property even for Alaska. You will understand the second you get to the bottom of the driveway and see the lake, mountains and seclusion.
