About this property

10 acre ranch overlooking Lake Lavon. It's the perfect place to get away from it all with parks, hiking, horse trails, gun range, fishing and boating nearby. Spectacular views of sun-rising in the east and sun-setting in the west over the lake.

The ranch was recently used by a local North Texas Independent Film Production Company, Stranger Mornings to shoot a short film for the Rack Focus Competition in Dallas.

Excellent Ranch Property Near Lake Lavon

Quiet location in the country which was able to easily accomodate a group of 9. It was a great place to meet up with family or friends. The host was sweet and very accomodating.

Spacious, comfy ranch house

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful ranch home. It was spacious, clean, well stocked, and had very comfy beds. We brought our family there for a relaxing spring break. We greatly enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit table and the game room. The host Mary, was very helpful and quick to respond. We felt well taken care of. We definitely recommend this beautiful place.

Beautiful Ranch Getway!

Me and my family & friends enjoyed every minute of our weekend at your ranch house. From your comfortable furniture, wifi, fire pit, enclosed hot tub with tv, to your game room. There was no reason to leave the ranch! We had an amazing, so relaxing weekend, & would highly recommend this property.

Perfect For A Large Family

This property was everything we needed and more. It was a perfect fit for our family of 10 (8 children ages 2-16). Mary was a phenomenal host. She prepared us for check-in, followed up to see that everything was ok, and responded in minutes to any questions we had. The house was very well kept--clean and modern, the amenities were fantastic, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the property. The food items and wine left for us were a nice touch. We would love to stay here again. Thanks Mary!

Short Getaway

This is a cute and private property close to Lake Lavon! We loved the hot tub and the entertainment options were great, the kids loved especially the basketball hoop and air hockey table! Sitting outside and enjoying the fire pit in the evenings was also awesome! Should consider cleaning the garage if considering a sleeping option! It had many spiders, lizards, and other bugs and the A/C unit does not work so definitely not an option! All in all a good stay!

We felt unwelcome and spied on

The house was charming. The kitchen had more than enough dishes, pots, cups, etc for a large group. We enjoyed the back patio and large kitchen table. However we did not have a good experience. When we got there the house it was 85 degrees inside (in July). I kept checking both nest monitors and it seemed like every time I turned it down it clicked back up. At 3am I woke up in a sweat and texted the owner. I googled how to reprogram a nest and realized it was set to bump back to 85 every 3 hours. I removed the programming till we left. We rented the house because it was on 10 acres, however you are not allowed on most of land or barn (it says you will lose your deposit). That was a negative for us. Also there were neighbors 100 yards away on both sides. We were there for the 4th of July and being out of city limits, we shot off some small fire works. On July 4th the owner came on property unannounced and was taking pictures of the mess from the poppers in the driveway. I went out to make sure it was the owner and she was upset. She said we could do fireworks just not close to the house. She stayed at the barn for an hour during our dinner, on a holiday, during the hottest part of the day. It made every there really feel unwelcome and put a damper on our holiday. Later that night we saw her car parked on the road watching us pop fireworks (away from the house). It left us with such a negative experience. I should also note that there are cameras all around the outside and Alexa’s inside, which is kind of creepy. The tv in the hot tub area did not work. The hot tub cover was extremely hard to remove. We killed a very large wasp nest and yellow jacket nest on the bell in the backyard. We also removed patches of poison ivy in the backyard on the hot tub walkway. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I would want to know before I rented.

Exactly what we wanted

My girlfriend and I spent the Thanksgiving holiday here. We wanted a quiet, out of the way place to take a break from the City and kids. The listing was accurate with plenty of room for a much larger group than we had. The game room was cool, but we didn't spend anytime there. The Hottub and firepit were the main attractions for us. It was fun watching the horses run around in the mornings. It was still an easy drive from DFW. Thanks!

Quiet Setting

Nice place. Lots of room inside & out. Definitely a quiet, ranch feel. Bedrooms are roomy. We book rental homes regularly and this place was stocked with kitchen appliances, dishes, & cookware as well or better than anyplace we’ve stayed. There is a trade for the space and quiet though as it’s a little far to dining and activities, especially if you have children. Our kids loved the house and space though. They seemed less bothered by driving to activities than the adults.

Perfect rural getaway

Mary’s house was so cozy and was so perfect for us to get away from the craziness of life in Dallas. The view from the front porch was immaculate and the hot tub provided plenty of relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

Amazing!!!!

The house was wonderful! It was clean and all of the furniture was very comfortable. The property has beautiful views with lots of outside seating. There was also plenty of games to keep everyone entertained. The home owners were so nice and they created such a welcoming environment. I highly recommend staying here you will be glad that you did.

Daughters 21st Bday Family Gathering

Had family in town to celebrate daughters 21st Bday! Plenty of parking for everyone! House was perfect for all of us and gave us all room to spread out and have some space! Back patio was our favorite place we love to be outdoors so there was lots of room for cornhole and patio music and games! Hot tub was perfect to end the night relaxing. Highly recommend for quiet country scenery yet also close enough to Dallas to drive in for entertainment!

LOVED this property

My husband and I adored this property. It was just as pictured, or even nicer actually. The owner is terrific and providing information and had the sort of binder I wish all owners would have. In addition to notes near specific things, like the TVs, everything we needed to know was in one 3 ring red binder. The master bedroom is HUGE, but inviting and there are little touches like an extra Keurig and a wine cooler in the bedroom. The hot tub was great. It heated up quickly (but hey, folks, you need to plan ahead if using an outdoor hot tub. It's set at the high 80s when not in use so it takes a few hours to heat up). And when I say "outdoor" it's fully enclosed - so you can use it any time. But it's in a gazebo. The pictures are accurate. All in all we loved our stay and will re-visit in the future.

Fun at the Ranch

We had a great experience staying at the Ranch. Lots of activities were at the house for the younger ones, and we really enjoyed the fire pit table. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean with everything we needed. We look forward to going back! Host was incredibly responsive and check in and out was very easy.

Juno Ranch is my dream ranch. I love horses and country living. Juno was the name of my first horse when I was growing up in Ireland. Uno is the name of my current horse, he is a beautiful palomino paint horse.

Juno ranch has 10+ acres on a rolling hilltop overlooking Lake Lavon. It is a great place to get away from it all, relax and enjoy the lake and surrounding attractions.

What makes this property unique

Property is fully fenced and paved with an asphalt driveway and spacious parking.
Security cameras monitor entrances (outward facing only).
A few bottles of wine and snacks are provided for the guests. Keurig and Nespresso coffee machines in the Kitchen, and Keurig and wine bar at the master bedroom.
Starter Breakfast: Selection of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and cereal/oatmeal.
Bring your boats and fishing and hunting gear. Free boat parking.
Optionally, bring your horses and stalls are available for rent. Outdoor arena available for exercising horses. Round pen available for horses.
