It was great! Shefali was super understanding and accommodating. The house was also beautiful. If I need an airbnb again in the future, I will definitely be staying here again!

Thanks Imani!!! PS: you booked with vrbo - with insurance, a dedicated manager, 1940s home in an upscale location all the amenities with the ability to decorate and move things around :))!! A lot of thought has gone into the listing. MayaVacationsDC has gone from strength to strength because of clients such as yourself - you know what you want and your friends/guests reflect that. Thank you again. Namaste.
I booked this place because she allowed parties/events. I saw plenty of people have hosted parties there. I told her that I was having a family gathering. As the night when on, she told me the I needed to turn the volume down considerably. We had one speaker that wasn’t even on at full volume, and I couldn’t even hear the music upstairs or in the living room. Come to find out she was actually staying downstairs. I didn’t know, and she never stated that anywhere. I ended up having everybody leave, and I cleaned up the place. I did not stay there that night. She also asked me to send her extra money, on the side, not through the site,(Zelle), because there were “too many”people there. Nobody was actually going to be staying there except me, and only me. We weren’t even very loud, if she wasn’t staying downstairs, nothing would’ve bothered her. Also, we were playing Jenga, maybe that’s where most of the noise came from. Again, I told her this was a family gathering, she never asked exactly how many people I was expecting. I believe she came from downstairs, and also said something to my guest who was outside, quietly, and not to me herself. That’s unprofessional. Address me, not my guest. In reviews, she mentioned people have had baby showers, NEW YEARS EVE parties, and birthday parties. If you say those are okay, then let it be okay, or make sure you put the maximum allowable people. Also, there was a old bag of ice in the freezer, milk, bread, and a Uncovered container of old red beans and rice in the fridge, and old coffee in the pot. Also, I’m almost positive she cleaned the house herself, so I don’t understand why the cleaning fee would be so hard, it wasn’t professionally cleaned, and I was never given a key, what if I had to run out.
I booked the space to make my daughter's Virtual High School Graduation extra special and it was! We were able to create a viewing room the living area and create a photo booth in the closed off den area. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless and inviting. Shefali was an amazing host, and i must say I was concerned initially because she's in the basement unit of the property but I was pleasantly surprised. Shefali was helpful in every way while still making sure we had our privacy to enjoy her space. The air-conditioning worked perfectly in addition to the wifi. I will definitely be booking this space again very soon.
She was a great host , & made sure everything we needed was taken care of , she communicated very well , & it was great for a party place !

Thank you! Mariah did her best to make her guests comfortable while being mindful of Covid required social distancing and hygiene rules. God energy all round in these uncertain times for DC professionals.
The house was nice. My guests and I enjoyed our stay. The house owner answered all of our questions and accommodated to our needs. The neighborhood was great! I enjoyed my stay and I will definitely be staying again!

Single mother, born in Delhi, India. Been in DC from 2008. Have my roots in hospitality, travel and leisure. An event manager and marketing professional - started renting this property on VRBO when as a self-represented litigant on collections cases - DC Superior Court ( yes, I'm an expert when it comes to getting my dues), I got more than my fair share of insider knowledge of the rental industry in DC. Spend most of my non - work time sourcing goods from DC and nearby locales - you'll find me on the metro or online ( like so many other homeowners/curators/property managers) looking for that 'new exciting' find at great prices. Have been provided a number of grants and loans in the last few years - very surprised at DC but it comes down to their ability to identify the people who they know can handle DC - so if it's marketing and events that's affordable/reasonable - @mayavacationsDC is your goto rental property.
