Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Jaan Ferree
I am a native North Carolinian who has lived all over the state but has settled in the mountains. I love Asheville with the beautiful natural beauty of the mountains, and many cultural and artistic opportunities this city provides. I am an Interior Designer, mother of adult children and a proud grandmother. My husband and I both enjoy traveling, writing and spending time with family.
Why they chose this property
I love this house! I bought the property in 2001 and completely remodeled it to bring it to its original glory. In 2018 I fully updated and decorated the apartment to be comfortable enough for a long term stay. The character of the 1920's architecture has been maintained while adding all the comforts of home you expect in the 21st Century.
What makes this property unique
The location of the apartment is perfect. It is close to, but not in, downtown. You can walk to coffee shops, amazing restaurants and wine bars all within a block or two. It is located in a walk-able neighborhood, a park is a few blocks away and the famous Grove Park in is just down the road.
