Darling and super cozy off-the-grid glamping cabin, perfect for creating special memories for you and your besties! Experience environmentally friendly, eco-conscious and sustainable vacationing in this stunning location. Unbelievable views of the San Francisco Peaks, gorgeous glistening aspen groves, graceful pine trees, wildlife sightings, and good old fashioned eco therapy will soothe your soul and ease away your tension. Close to the Grand Canyon! Just 1/2 mile off the Arizona Trail! Hike 6 miles to Snowbowl! Beautiful aspen forests abound!
This darling camper cabin has one bedroom with a queen sized bed (2 guests), and has two pull out couches for up to four additional guests. The well stocked kitchen has all the cookware and utensils you’ll need for cooking, including a propane cooktop and oven, as well as a cooler for your use (bring ice). A gas barbecue is on site as well. The wood stove kicks out a ton of heat to keep you toasty while you sip on steamy hot chocolate. During summer months the use of the woodstove may be restricted in accordance to Forest Service mandated fire restrictions. Gather around the gas operated fire pit in the backyard for some R&R. Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! The property backs on the National Forest for limitless recreation opportunities. In the evening crack open a book, or start playing a game with your besties to close out a long day.
The property is completely off the grid, making it very appealing to those travelers and adventurers who want to create a minimal carbon footprint on their vacation. The kitchen sink has a hand pump that draws water from under the sink from a 10 gallon water jug. We have a new underground water storage tank with a frost free hand pump, which will provide all the water you will need for your stay. We have built a little rustic outdoor shower, which you are welcome to use. There is a shower bag for your use (as long as the wind hasn't blown it to Snowbowl), however you may prefer to bring your own. We recently installed a solar powered lighting system and cell phone charging capability. There are no regular power outlets. Cell service is available in the area depending upon your carrier. The outdoor composting toilet is super clean with little or no odor.
Check out the cute hanging trampoline teepee tent! It’s so fun! As with any swing or hanging device there’s inherent risks, enjoy at your own risk. But yes, bring a sleeping bag along and you can sleep in it. It’s super duper comfortable!! The teepee tent is down during the winter months.
The cabin is located at 8200’ in the San Francisco Peaks in the pines and aspens. Snowshoe or cross country ski, hike or bike, go sledding or snowmobiling, or just good old fashioned relaxation will make the time fly by.
If that’s not enough check this out:
a) it’s just 5 miles to the Arizona Nordic Center for incredible cross country ski trails b) it's just 18 miles to Snowbowl for chairlift rides or world class downhill skiing c) it's just 20 miles to the hip town of Flagstaff for fantastic restaurants, golfing, shopping, coffee shops and museums d) it's just 60 miles to historic Williams with the Bearizona wildlife park and the popular Grand Canyon Railway d) it's just 60 miles to the world famous Grand Canyon. The property is located approximately 2.1 miles off the main highway down a forest service road. The road is in excellent shape during the summer months. During winter you MUST have a 4WD vehicle to access the property, particularly if there has been a significant snowfall recently. During a snowy period, access may require either cross country skiing, snowshoeing or snowmobiling to the property from the main highway (approx 2.1 miles). If you get stuck on the road it will be your own responsibility. Please check with the owner a couple days prior to your visit to check on road conditions during the winter.

Everything was exactly as described. But this place is more magical than imaginable. Everything about our stay was amazing! It was the perfect place to stay on a snowy Easter weekend! We can't wait to go back again!
Perfect weekend getaway, cooler weather was very nice, so quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed living off the grid, cabin fully equipped with all the necessities- can’t wait to go back!
My family and I loved our stay. The neighbor even came over to say hello and warned us about a recent bear sighting. We loved the location and plan to stay again next time we are in Flagstaff.

Since we back on the National Forest we do see some real wildlife on occasion! Thanks for staying with us, and welcome back again!
Wonderful stay at the aspens near Flagstaff. We had come for a Grand Canyon hike and the Glamper Cabin was an excellent staging place to stay. Loved coffee in the porch swings in the morning and my son loved the teepee tent/swing.

Thank you for choosing the Glamper Cabin for your Flagstaff stay. The Glamper Cabin is just as the name suggests, a glamping cabin nestled in the most pristine forest. The listing clearly states and the photos accurately depict that the cabin is completely off grid. This type of cabin appeals to people who love the simplicity of life, long for an experience of communing with nature, prefer to have a minimal carbon footprint on Mother Earth, and desire to reconnect with themselves personally, as well as with friends and family. Since the property does not have electricity (as it is off grid) we have an excellent functioning hand pump outside at the water tank for the guest's convenience and easy access to water. The woodstove and kitchen stove offer opportunity for heating water as needed for personal use. The shower as shown in the photos is an outdoor shower with a simple shower bag system, for which the user simply heats the water that they plan to use thus preserving the vital water resource. The listing also clearly indicates that as an eco-concious destination we have a composting toilet outdoors. Again, no power = no running water = composting toilet outdoors. Notably the composting toilet and outdoor bathroom is very clean and odor free much to the relief of the user and for their enjoyment. It works beautifully year round, even during the harshest days of winter with never a concern for frozen water pipes, for which we are most grateful. We feel that having running water and an inside toilet would entirely ruin the experience of "glamping" and communing with nature in this unbeatable beautiful alpine forest setting.
We thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and for your patronage of VRBO as your preferred booking platform. We wish you continued pleasant and safe travels.
We enjoyed our stay in the cozy cabin. We selected it as a launch point for a number of day trips around Northern Arizona and found it very convenient. Our communications with the host were pleasant, and we had everything we needed for a rustic adventure. We also lucked out with perfect fall weather and many deer sightings!

Loved this place. We saw many deer and the mist awesome sight - a hawk with a fish in its claws! Unfortunately we weren't equipped for the outhouse part!

Interesting that you saw a hawk with fish in its claws! That’s amazing! The composting toilet might take you by surprise, but usually only because it is simply amazing how well it operates, and how clean and odor free it is!
Second time at this cozy cabin and already longing to return! I wish I could have stayed a month. The cabin is perfect, the minimal electricity and connectivity are perfect, and the Arizona Trail right down the road is a huge bonus. Lots of swoon.
This place is magical! We were lucky enough to be there after a snow storm and enjoyed playing in the snow. We also opted to ski to the cabin and we absolutely loved it. The cabin is so cute and is stocked with everything you need. The wood stove/fireplace kept us super warm throughout our stay. We really had an unforgettable trip and cannot wait to be back!

Best word choice - "magical"! That's how we feel about the Glamper Cabin! It's a special place. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Welcome back!
Nice cabin with ample space to go snowsledding. We spent a lot of time outdoors despite the cold. Check in was straight forward and easy. Property was clean and had plenty of kitchen necessities. Wood was stored close by, which was super convenient. We will definitely stay again!
My husband and I enjoyed our two night stay in your cozy cabin. It had everything we needed. The glamping experience was lovely, especially the wood-burning stove. The composting toilet outhouse was even cute! We definitely plan to come back next fall and celebrate our anniversary again at your place. Thanks for sharing your little gem with us.
This is my 2nd time staying here, the first being over the winter time. Early summer this time around, and both times have been perfect. I love being able to disconnect and just be in Nature. This will hopefully be my go to place for many years to come. Thank you!
The place was reclusive and gave the feeling of privacy and being disconnected.. it was such a memorable immersive experience! Love the sound of the birds chirping and saw a few deers on the property. Plus the sound of the rain at night the two days we were days was amazing! Definitely a stay worth remembering and repeating! Definitely coming back!

This rental was great for what I needed. A solo trip to to rest and let nature feed my soul. This cabin was perfect for just that!! Peaceful, quiet, comfortable and everything I needed to sustain myself for several days. The AZ trail is a must! Sitting on the porch swing while the thunderstorms rolled in and a hot tea in hand was just what I needed. I will be back!! Thank you for such a great stay 😊

I’m so glad you made it to the Arizona Trail! It’s marvelous! And the trailhead is just 1/2 mile away!
This was our third time at the Glamper Cabin, and hopefully not our last! I'm so grateful we found this place. It's the cozy cabin in the woods I've been searching for for years. It's well stocked with everything you need (and almost nothing you don't, like electronics!). There are plenty of pots and pans for cooking, a big canister of hot coco, lots of warm blankets and board games, and oodles of peace and quiet! And it's a short walk down the road from the beautiful Arizona Trail, so you can wonder in the woods as long as you like. My soul feels rejuvenated once again!

Hey, so we are lovers of the outdoors! Camping, hiking, biking, kayaking.... you name it! The beautiful forests in the Flagstaff with the graceful aspen trees have always been special to us, and much to our delight we were able to purchase this property that we can now share with you. I could tell you the story, but suffice it to say we had not been planning on buying a cabin, but all of a sudden I found this darling place FSBO on Zillow. I contacted the owner...... we stayed here one night for a test run before we made our offer..... and oh, how we loved it! Thankfully the owner took our offer over the others they received. There is nothing quite as soothing as chilling out in this beautiful quiet spot, enjoying nature, and the wonderful cool summer evenings. And the simplicity of the Glamper Cabin is the greatest appeal to us. No fuss, no muss. A roof over our heads. A delicious hot meal. A thunderstorm rolling overhead. A fire crackling in the woodstove. A comfy bed to snooze in. Room for the kids..... it's blissful! We love the snowy winters even more, but that's a whole other story! Enjoy!
Why they chose this property
All who stay at the Glamper Cabin love it! It's truly a unique and new experience for a traveler who is looking for adventure in the woods, cool summer days and even cooler nights, snowy winters, colorful trees in the fall. It's gorgeous.
