Villa Arnica A is a characteristic and welcoming ancient tuscan country house surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It sleeps six people. From Villa Arnica A you will enjoy a charming view of the Chianti hills. Villa Arnica A is 120 square meters (1290 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a private patio, a shared garden, winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 1.5 km (one mile) from Castellina in Chianti, where you will find restaurants and shops.
To stay at Villa Arnica A you will need a car. You will be able to park it on the premises, in a reserved parking space. Please note that access to Villa Arnica A is along an 800-meter (half-a-mile) unpaved road. Villa Arnica A and Villa Arnica B are separate homes, both resting on the summit of a low hill surrounded by verdant woods, vineyards and olive groves. The villas are about 30 meters apart and each has a private outdoor area for their exclusive use, along with the communal garden and large swimming pool that are shared by both villas.


The two buildings were part of an old monastery dating back to the mid-15th century. The complex was lovingly restored to preserve it's antique charm. You'll be in the heart of the Chianti hills, where Tuscany's most famous wine is made, between Siena and Florence.


As guests of Villa Arnica B you will have at your disposal, upon request and for a fee, a Jacuzzi pool available only from September until June. In the Summer time you have access to a large swimming pool shared with other guests staying at the complex.


Please note: On the ground floor of Villa Arnica A occasionally you can find the owners at your disposal.

Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 6 meters (20 feet) large by 16 meters (52 feet) long, from 1.20 meter (4 feet) to 2 meters (6.6 feet) deep. The area is equipped with a table, chairs, sun loungers and external showers. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the Tuscan hills and of the vineyards. You will share the pool with the guests staying at the complex, at another nearby apartment. The swimming pool is open from the beginning of June until the end of September.
Garden
The garden is partly shaded by olive trees and by pinetrees. It is equipped with a table, chairs and an hammock. From the garden you will enjoy a splendid view of the valley. You will share the garden with the guests staying at the complex, at another nearby apartment.
 Patio
The patio is 15 square meters (160 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a portable barbecue and a wood-fired pizza oven.
Living Room
The furnishings of the living room are cozy and comfortable, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include a sofa, two armchairs and a desk. There is a big and age-old fireplace made of bricks. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a flat-screen satellite television (local channels). The room has a window with a view of the garden and of the hills.
Study
You will be able to enter the study from the corridor. The furnishings include a sofa, two armchairs and a desk. The room has a window.
Kitchen
You will be able to enter the kitchen from the living room. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and a kettle. The kitchen has a window with a view of the countryside and of the village.
Bedroom 1
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. The furnishings are classic and welcoming, and include some antique pieces. The room has a traditional wooden matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a small window with a view of the garden.
Bedroom 2
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. The ceiling is sloped and has characteristic exposed wood beams and terracotta tiles. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches), that can be pushed together into a matrimonial bed if requested (please contact our staff in advance to make arrangements). The room has a window.
Bedroom 3
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor. The bedroom has a wrought iron matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include a desk. The room has a window.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
Half bath
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the corridor.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the patio. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.
