After our highly appreciated and beloved villa Casa le Pigne, (ref 607748, 100+ 5 stars reviews), we have opened since 2018 nearby a beautiful vacation opportunity : a wonderful restored 17th century Podere (Farm) with 4 comfortable 1 and 2 BR appartements and a little cottage.

The Podere LA VALLE offers all you have dreamed on : a large pool (14x6m) with a huge solarium open June-September, a spa with jacuzzi, IR sauna and steam bath open all the year round, 150ha forest and the beautiful Tuscany at your feet.

Every appartement has antique furnitures, comfortable beds, 1 or 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, WIFI, open fire, and floor heating.

The 150 ha property gives opportunity for many walks along the aromatic plants fields and in the forest, as well the discovery of the Tuscan wilderness.

Our Podere is 40 minutes away from Florence and 30 min from Siena. The nearest village (Castellina in Chianti) is 7km far. You find there a small supermarket, groceries, wineshops, banks, ATM, and 8 restaurants.

The ground floor apartment ROCCIA has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom and her bathroom are totally suitable for disabled person (PRM). The large living room as an open fire, a fully equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher) and a sofa bed. In front of the apartment you have a large and sunny terrace.
We also have a lift to help disabled personnes to access the pool.

The normal occupancy of apartment ROCCIA is 4, but installing a 3rd bed in one room and using the 140cm sofa bed in the living room. this apartment can accommodate a family until 6 or 7 people.
NEW for more convenience : usb outlets in any bedroom !

Hosts have access to the pool (14x6m) from June to September and to the Spa (Jacuzzi, IR Sauna and Steam bath) all the year round. A large Library with TV and free coffee and tea is 24h accessible.

More friends or family ? You can combine 2 or more appartements in the Podere in order to come with relatives or friends or to organize a family event.

Wonderful Location

Womderful Location especially for families. Kids enjoyed the pool, the table tennis and boccia area. Appartment was very clean and well equipped. Castellina is very nice with good Restaurants and all the interesting spots like siena san gimignano florentina can be shortly reached.

Absolutely stunning and relaxing

This location is absolutely stunning, very quiet and really felt like a treat to be here. So relaxing and beautiful. The wafts of perfume from the plants, the infinity pool, amazing spa and the free coffee an added bonus. Really loved it thank you. Not fully wheelchair/scooter friendly though my husband struggled a little.

Great, quiet Getaway in the heart of Chianti Classico

Podere la Valle is your place to relax. On a huge property Jerome renovated this this old Podere to a beautiful holiday home with an eye for details. The pool is amazing 😍. And there are a lot of small ideas to pass your time such as walks over the property (up to 2h), Darts, Table tennis, ... Castellina di Chianti is a 5min drive away. Beautiful little village with a nice old town. Lots of restaurants and a great aperitivo spot at the local winery just next to the view point in the village. We had a great time there...

Amazing location and property!

We had a group of 4 adults staying at this property. It was quaint and amazing. The communication with the owner and his team went smoothly. Although it was too early in the season for the pool to be open, we took advantage of the spa, which was wonderful. We love to cook on vacation and the kitchen had all of the amenities that we needed to make big meals. I would highly recommend this property and we plan to go back in the future. Thank you Jerome, Jasmine and team.

Amazing Herb Farm

Jerome is an amazing horticulturist. He grows lavender, lemon balm, verbena, etc. the plants are then distilled and provided to make essential oils. We saw the distillery, as he was distilling roses. This was an amazing experience, compared to other places who make olive oil and wine, yet it was in the heart of Chianti!

Tuscan idyl

Absolutely gorgeous property and surroundings. The scent in the air from the aromatic herbs on the farm was fabulous and felt very therapeutic. The building are recently restored to a meticulous high standard with each apartment having a private terrace with seating while maintaining a sense of community with beautiful shared pool and lounge area with amenities. It is located in beautiful countryside with amazing Tuscan views but very near the village which is picturesque, historic and full of great restaurants. We visited San Gimignano, Siena and Montereggio which were all easily accessible and each gave a different experience. Jerome was very welcoming and helpful. Our stay was perfect in every way. Highly recommended for all ages.

Beautiful place would stay again

We truly enjoyed our stay. Jérome is a consummate host. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Loved walking on the paths and hanging by the beautiful pool. The small town of Castelina in Chianti is perfect for tourists who want to be close to a grocery store and tons of restaurants. It is an adorable town that has everything you need without the craziness of staying in a city. Our only wish is that there was a screen in the kitchen window. The apartments are not air conditioned so it would be nice to have the window open while cooking without bugs being let in. Other than that the lack of air conditioning is not an issue as the stone building stays relatively cool even in very hot weather. Overall we definitely want to come back. We’re already talking with our families to plan a repeat trip!

Une vraie pause!

Résidence superbe, piscine idéale (sans chlore) et cette année, nous avons fait la découverte des marches autour de la maison, extra ! Pour finir, Yasmine et Jerome sont très attentionnés. Que demander de plus, si ce n’est d’y revenir tres vite!

Fantastisch verblijf

Wat een mooi paradijs heeft Jerome in Castellina in Chianti. Huisje prima verzorgd evenals de tuin en het zwembad. Keuken meer dan voldoende keukengerei, bedden prima. In de lounge staat een waterkoker en een bonen koffiemachine 24/7. Lekker rustige omgeving. Jerome is altijd beschikbaar voor als je iets nodig hebt of er iets is. Handig voor ons (en andere gasten) was ook de aanwezige laadpaal (11kW) voor e-auto's aangezien er verder in de buurt geen palen aanwezig zijn. Pasje hiervoor krijg je bij aankomst van Jerome.

Little paradise in Toscane

We werden warm onthaald, alles was keurig verzorgd en tot in de puntjes geregeld. Jerome staat voor je klaar. Locatie is prachtig; als een klein paradijs in de groene vallei. Heerlijke plek om te ontspannen en tot rust te komen. Aanrader voor de liefhebber van vlinders in de tuin en een zwembad met uitzicht!

Die Anlage von La Valle ist beeindruckend schön. Die Verbindung von altem Baubestand und moderner Einrichtung machen den Aufenthalt zu einer perfekten Erholung. Der Wellnessbereich und das Schwimmbad sind fantastisch, alles ist sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und hergerichtet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben sich sehr große Mühe gegeben, den Aufenthalt zu einem perfekten Urlaubserlebnis zu machen. Wirklich ein wunderbares Domizil.

Exceptionnel par la beauté des lieux, la qualité de la restauration des bâtiments avec des matériaux de qualité, un accès PMR hautement appréciable, un espace Spa juste splendide, un site remarquable en pleine nature entre Florence et Sienne. Marvelous gem

What a gem, hidden in Tuscany. The property itself is beautiful, and the host was friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and the inclusion of the property into GPS platforms made it much easier to find. It’s a bit of a difficult drive for someone unfamiliar with mountain roads but if you take it a little easy it’s a cinch. If it was closer to home, I’d be here every month.

Beautiful place for a relaxing stay

My partner and I enjoyed our stay in Roccia, a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. It was spacious, comfortable with touches of luxury and a well equipped kitchen (but no kettle or microwave). The views are glorious and it’s so peaceful and relaxing. The availability of the spa is a lovely luxury addition too. We enjoyed a day by the pool - also with stunning views - but didn’t go in as the water was freezing in early May! We would stay here again, which I think says it all?!

My Name is Jerome GLORIE, i love Tuscany where i come and stay since 40 years. I'm 63y, father of 2 daughters. we grow 2 ha of aromatic plants around the farmhouse, we distillate them and produce essential oils and hydrosols. I live in Brussels, Belgium.

Why they chose this property

The Podere exhale a exciting historical smell : 1000 years ago pilgrims travelled the property and rest in a small "hospital" (visible ruins 300m from the house).
In the forest you will see wild boards and roes. Nice views on the Chianti landscape, one of the most beautiful in Europe.

What makes this property unique

The Podere is a jewel in this area. very comfortable accommodation, fit for everybody, from a young couple with kids, family or less fit people. I want Tuscany accessible for wheel chairs and i made this apartment for.
And the Chianti : the famous Chianti Classico wine, the tasteful restaurants (from a bistro to 1 star), the kindness of the people.
