Scenic balcony views of False River! Enjoy this upgraded, modern lake house only 35 minutes from LSU, and minutes from antique shopping in downtown New Roads or St. Francisville. Of course, you'll enjoy the fishing, too! Large living/kitchen area with open window views to the river. 2 full baths upstairs for the bedrooms and a 1/2 bath downstairs. Also, just a 3 minute walk to the Sand Bar, which has bands, food, and drinks. Large covered area on ground floor allow plenty of area for crawfish boils, bbq, and entertaining. Living and sleeping areas are only accessible via stairs.

Amenities include: full size clothes washer/dryer, High speed internet, DirecTv, Tv Antenna for local broadcast, and most streaming apps included. Central ac/heat, tank-less water heater (endless hot water), BBQ pit connected to gas supply, gas stove/oven, microwave, large refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. Dual style coffee maker. Games, cards, chips for entertainment.

Sleeping arrangements are 2 queen beds and a kids room with 2 sets of bunk beds. The master bedroom has it's own full bathroom. The guest room and kids room share a full bathroom in the hallway. There is also a 1/2 bath downstairs with quick access to bbq area/picnic tables.

Fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, Tupperware, and large electric griddle. Typical spices are stocked.

No smoking in camp. No large groups/gatherings. Please respect neighbors. Prefer to rent to mature renters. There is 1 camera on the property - it is located on the pier at the boat lift. If you'd like to know how to turn it off for your stay, please ask for instructions

Perfect!

I was in charge of finding a place for five 50 friends and this home was the perfect place! So convenient, clean and relaxing, with everything needed for a perfect escape. I asked the group to find something that could be better, but we couldn’t come up with anything! We highly recommend and hope to return on our next escape!

Place was perfect for our family getaway. I didn’t realize there wasn’t an entrance that didn’t involve stairs but I probably missed it somewhere in the listing- so just a heads up. Space was clean with some spiderwebs outside (they’ve been bad this year though so no fault to the property!). The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked and supplied! Also, the place is right next to one of the boat rentals so the guy just dropped it off at the dock for us! Overall, great experience and would stay there again!

I was so happy with this property!

My husband was born and raised in New Roads, LA. For the past 20+ years I've been visiting, we always stay with my mother-in-law. Due to the holidays, there were too many out of town guests to fit at her house, so we took the opportunity to stay on the river for the very first time. My goal was to find a place comfortable enough for our immediate family (with a 16 yr old and 3 yr old) and for hosting a couple meals for the out of town family. Holidays and family are hectic so a peaceful location to enjoy the serene water would be the icing on the cake! This rental did not disappoint! There's a super comfy chair in a window overlooking the pier and water where I was able to steal 30 minutes in the morning just to enjoy the peace. The house was spotless and thoroughly stocked like an actual home! I was able to cook full meals and host a jambalaya dinner for the family. I tend to find that the kitchens in VRBOs lack enough paraphernalia to comfortably cook large meals. They even had dishware for toddlers and a high chair that I never travel with! It truly felt like a home away from home. Thank you for such a great stay!

Fabulous stay on False River

I absolutely loved this place! We felt comfortable there. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Endless hot water is a super plus with 3 ladies and 2 teen boys... lol! Towels are super fluffy, beds are comfortable, dock was nice, and you can see the sunrise and the sunset from the upper deck. I think what I appreciated most, however, was the owner checking on us to make sure all was good. We will definitely stay here again!

Lakefront Scenery!!!!

First of all this lake house is wonderful!! The location on False River doesn’t disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the home and the ability to fish from the well maintained private fishing pier/boat dock. The interior of the home was so well decorated that my wife picked up a few ideas for our own home. Spacious, updated, with all the creature comforts of home. Our family will definitely be visiting this home again and in the near future. Lastly but definitely not least, Mitch was more than helpful, courteous, and kind throughout the entire rental process. I could tell that he was genuinely concerned about our enjoyment of the home and the ease of its use. I’ll never forget him because we have never been treated with so much care and concern when renting any vacation home before. We rent vacation properties all the time, but this was an experience that my family truly enjoyed. K and M Daniels
