This was the perfect spot for my son and I to stay while in Santa Fe. Great location, comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, and fenced backyard for our dog.
Stay was great, mainly used as base camp for day excursions in and around the area. Worked perfectly.

All the furniture was old; bed was extremely uncomfortable, lighting was poor; couldn't lock the front door. Notes in check in said if we didn't strip the bed of sheets, we would get a poor review.

You are confusing me with another rental. There are many lights, indoor and outdoors. Many guests have remarked on how comfortable the bed is. I have no check-out instructions and do not expect guests to do the cleaning or stripping the bed. Most of the furniture was bought in the last ten years and nothing is worn. You did not tell me any of these concerns when you were there, though I always ask for feedback.
This place was adorable! So cute and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a great stay -- kitchen and bathroom were both robustly outfitted so we didn't need anything. We loved the neighborhood too -- great for walking our little dog. We couldn't have asked for more.

My wife, myself and my dogs loved the location and the apartment. Fully fenced in yard and secure location of the apartment was wonderful. It provided the “Santa Fe” experience for us. Janet Urian was professional, friendly and helpful with our stay.
The unit was comfortable and clean. It was well stocked with everything needed for our five night stay. We loved being able to walk to the plaza and Railyard areas and along the river trail. Janet was easy to communicate and checked to be sure we were happy with our accommodations.
I’d say, everything from communication to location was great. It had a nice backyard for dogs. However, in our two nights stay, we probably killed more than 30 flies. They were all over the place and that was very annoying.

Sorry to hear about flies. That's the first person in 27 years to mention that.
We enjoyed this adorable property! We don't travel with dogs, but ifbwe did we'd come back here. Very dog friendly and easy access to sites and walking trails.
Nice accommodations within comfortable walking distance of lots of Santa Fe attractions.

About the host

I am a long-time real estate broker in Santa Fe (30+ years). I have a 501 (c) (3) animal rescue organization that I manage and pay for by myself. I personally tend to this unit and try to make sure of a wonderful stay and customer satisfaction. I have mostly great reviews on this and other sites.
Why they chose this property
This house is special because of the location off West San Francisco Street and the fact that it is an historic double adobe built in 1908.. Its convenience and privacy can't be beat. It is like a sanctuary. It is not visible from the main street, and neighbors face in other directions. The beauty and history of the building is impressive. It is completely remodeled, and I update it regularly. Since the 90s it has had 4.5 to 5 star reviews.
What makes this property unique
Many people enjoy this because they don't need a vehicle to go many places downtown and it has the ambience of a traditional neighborhood. Some have not had vehicles. There is one tenant on the other side with whom you share the front and back porches and back yard who also has pets. You can walk to the mall and its two grocery stores, and walk all over downtown. I have not had any crime experience in this neighborhood in over 25 years, but caution is always advisable.
