Spacious 2000+sqft Home, 3 min to Beach, Lighthouse & Quaint Village
Family Tides condo, which is centrally located on the island was updated a few years ago. It includes all new paint, appliances and flooring in the bedrooms. Enjoy the spacious open floor plan with large living room, dining area & beautiful kitchen. Right off from that area the balacony door leads to the front deck spanning the entire full front of the building. One can enjoy the scenic view of downtown St. George Island including the lighthouse from sitting in a rocking chair. The public beach, lighthouse, quaint shops and restaurants are all in walking distance. The condo is next door to Aunt Ebby's Ice Cream and about a block from Island Outfitters (beach rental equipment) and Island Dog Outdoors.
There are plenty of beaches nearby, including the main public beach and the State Park which covers the eastern portion of the island.
The beds sleep up to 8, not including the sofa bed. The master bedroom has a king bed, the 1st guest bedroom features a full bed and twin bunkbed, and the 2nd guest bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a pull-out sofa bed in the living room (linens available for the sofa bed upon request).
Kitchen comes supplied with condiments, standard coffee maker, dishwasher, ice maker with filtered water dispensing frig. There is a washer and a dryer. There is Wi-Fi and a 50" Smart TV (no cable) and DVD player along with family-friendly DVDs.
The condo is located upstairs (above a quiet restaurant), providing a better view of the island. Bookings 7 nights or more get a 10% discount; 28 nights or more get a 20% discount.

The stay exceeded our expectations! We are a big families with small children, so we need space, and cleanliness but the condo was much more than that. It felt like home away from home.
Great location! The condo is very spacious and had many nice amenities (cookware, etc) in the kitchen if you plan on making a meal. King bed is VERY comfortable! Ruth is super helpful with island recommendations for activities and dining. Great communication and flexibility with our request for an extra night! Thank you, Ruth.

Location is perfect. The kitchen was supplied extremely well, we lacked nothing. House was very spacious and clean. Beds were really comfortable. Everything you need for a home away from home without having to bring everything with you. Well worth the stay!Host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating.
Host was very responsive. With this being our second stay in St George we loved this property and all of our guest agreed. Having everything on one level definitely made the stay much more enjoyable. Upon arrival the rooms were clean and it was located in walking distance of the lighthouse, and beach.
The house was very clean. Check-in was easy. The location of the property was perfect for our on-the-go family. Walking distance to the main area of the island, playground, shops, coffee and donuts, and ice cream. Communicating with the owner was easy. There is a Subway restaurant below the unit, but the workers there were pleasant and unfazed by our 4 kids stomping around. My favorite part was that you get a great sunrise and sunset view as the property’s porch faces the Gulf. We would return in a heartbeat!
We had a great time staying on SGI and Maria was very quick and kind in our interactions. The upstairs home was very spacious and clean. The home had everything we needed for our stay and was very quiet even though the island has lots of work going on ( repairing roads and contractors busily building up the area ). The beach was just a couple minute walk away and very nice. Nightly walks along the beach to catch the sunsets were fantastic. Highly recommend Maria's home if you're visiting SGI.
My family and I love St. George Island. Some of our favorite things to do include spending time at the public beach (3 min walk), shelling, going to the State Park, using the playground, eating at the restaurants and shopping at the stores, all very close by.
Why they chose this property
This condo appears to be twice the size of the majority of condos at SGI. Your family or party will have PLENTY of room to spread out. It has been recently renovated, including a beautiful kitchen. Your family may love hanging out in the large living room and/or family room.

The condo is very roomy and spacious! Many guests enjoy sitting on the large balcony overlooking the main street on the island and it's central location!
