Thank you so much for the review and keeping the rental neat & tidy. I'm happy you had a good time in the vast Adirondacks and that the rain held off. Thanks for your stay! Joe
We were a crew working in the area. Joe was super supportive and made it easy for us to have a great Place to stay while be away from our own homes and families.
We had a great time, the cabin was very neat and clean. every thing that you need is provided, and Joe and marilyn are the nicest people, I plan on going back in October
Nice charming, quiet place to stay. Joe was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. He checked on us daily, asking if we needed anything. We have already decided that we will be visiting again and staying at Joe's property.

Thank you. Yes, please schedule another stay when ready.
Nice older home. The area is nice but older. Close to a lot of activities and attractions. Joe was there to greet us when we arrived. Spent a lot of time showing the house and discussing the area.

Thanks Bob. Hope your trip home is good. Fixed the loose seats,,,thanks for letting know. Stay safe & have an enjoyable time..
A group of 4 stayed at this location for a very reasonable price. Plenty of space in this well maintained older home. Came with a lot of things that some owners overlook
We instantly felt at home! Joe is a superior host who made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed an outdoor fire (which Joe had ready for us) Halloween night. The fresh donuts from the Cafe are delicious. The river is beautiful! We would definitely stay again! Cozy enough for 2, but big enough for more!
Everything was excellent with this house. Perfect location for our group since we were mainly interested in cross country skiing. A few cross country ski areas were in close vicinity. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was the heating system which sometime did not heat some rooms sufficiently.
Joe was a very good host and was always there to help.
We had a refrigerator problem and Joe handled it very quickly and got us running again. Thank you Joe
Joe was great! Checked in on us, offered suggestions for outings, started a fire for us each evening.
The diner makes fresh donuts.
The rock hopping is amazing.
Rode on the black river canal trail, paddled the reservoir, did some geocaching. We planned to use Forestport as a cheap place to stay for Old Forge activities, but there is plenty to do there also.
We also visited pixley falls on the way home- so pretty!

Patrick, I'm so sorry you feel that it's necessary to resort to vulgar slang. Is there anything I can do make you feel differently? If so, please reach out to me. I thought I did everything in dealing with you for bringing extra guests, taking personal property out of the house on your departure and losing the the key.
Clean, good size rental in the middle of the quaint town of Forestport. With the Black River steps away, the sound of water going over the small dam lulls you to sleep. The Forestport diner is literally in the backyard. It's slogan is "Best diner by a Dam site" The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The homemade donuts are fantastic. The bedroom downstairs with its 2 beds are steps away from a bathroom with a a very nice large walk-in shower. The stairs going to the second floor are a little steep (normal for a house of its age). Once upstairs, the two bedrooms with 2 beds in each are comfortable. The upstairs bath has a beautiful claw bathtub, which was a soothing spot after a long day of exploring the area. WWMW is the perfect location to see the western side of the Adirondack Park. If you are looking for a place to rent and don't mind staying in a well taken care of old home, I highly recommend WWMW... the price is right!
Our host, Joe. couldn't have been more accommodating. Always ready to provide anything we needed and to suggest local restaurants, attractions, etc. The house is dated but that's part of it's charm. Everything was super clean and basic supplies were provided. You can walk to the local hometown diner for a great breakfast (not to mention an Awesome Friday Night fish fry). Also within walking distance is the dam/waterfall on the Black River. Can't wait to return. Thanks Joe!!!!
The place was cozy and in a great location. Thank you, the home was great to stay in.

About the host
Hosted by Joe
Love exploring the Adirondacks, "there are so many places in the Adirondacks to discover." I also like meeting guests whom have lodging needs. I love anything that is old. Rental is 100 plus years old, with newer updates. Circa 1887.
Why they chose this property
Away from the hustle & bustle. Inexpensive overnight stays and not far from the several metro areas such as City of Utica, City of Rome and Village of Old Forge; All are 24 miles or a little less away. But, most importantly is the location makes a great base camp for day trips in the Adirondack park. This is a must for someone who doesn't want to spend a fortune on lodging. Snowmobilers, this is the place best for your adventures! We are a ski length away from the well groom C-7 trail . (Rental not on the water, but very close by.)
What makes this property unique
Quiet, fresh air, nostalgic and SW gateway to the Adirondack Park. Kayaking, fishing, swimming, hunting, hiking, sightseeing and snowmobiling. Ask about the Northern loop drive from the rental through the Adirondacks. Save a nice bundle by lodging here.
