Rustic open-design cabin on beautiful Lake Pokegama. Lake Pokegama is a large premier recreational lake with sandy beaches, several public islands, clear water and depths as deep as 110 feet in some areas (great for fishing). Cabin amenities are: 2 full size beds, one queen, a full size pull-out futon; 2 large decks; beautiful full view of lake; sandy, private swimming beach; two outdoor fire pits; 4 kayaks; 1 canoe, 2 stand-up paddle boards; swimming/diving platform. Property approximately 8 miles from downtown Grand Rapids, offering a wide variety of attractions, shopping and dining. There are two excellent boat-in restaurants on the lake; Zorbas specializes in pizza and the Pickled Loon offers a wide variety of entrees.
Dogs are welcome.
Diving platform has lower and higher diving board.
Room is available on dock for boat tiedown
Boat rentals are available at the local marinas (pontoon boats are very popular on this lake)..

Beautiful cabin with attention to detail, host was amazing! We loved the firewood hot tub and seeing the lake otters. We really appreciated that it was a dog friendly place, and fell in love with the host dog, Olive. The beds were super comfy and the beach was well stocked with water toys. A experience!

Cozy hideaway

Perfect place to take a step back, unplug and enjoy time as a family. Love that the cabin is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The beach, swim area and lake access are top notch.

Great Lake Stay

We really enjoyed staying on Lake Pokegama at this traditional cabin. Debbie is a great host and very responsive. We're looking forward to our next stay.

The perfect MN cabin/lake getaway! Debbie is an amazing host, she had everything stocked from firewood, ice in freezer, towels, kitchen supplies, laundry, coffee, comfortable beds/blankets, extra fans, etc! I could go on and on. The views are absolutely stunning. It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved having a fire at the beach every night. Everything truly was beautiful. Would 100% come back!! Thank you Debbie!

60th Birthday

We booked the cabin to celebrate my mother in law's 60th birthday. We all had a blast swimming, fishing, and boating around Pokegama Lake. The cabin had a real up north feel to it.

Wonderful Weekend

This property had everything out family of 4 needed for a relaxing weekend up North. Private beach, paddle boards, swim platform, access to a boat rental, fire pits and more! Debbie was an amazing host and ensured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Wonderful owner- she's at the bigger house on site but she very much gives you privacy. The beach is loaded with anything you'd need, tubes, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, chairs, fire pit, etc. And has a wonderful sandy beach. The location is super private and quiet but close to town. Pokegama lake is great for fishing, tubing skiing. Water is clear. Cabin is good, has everything you need, bedrooms don't have doors but two have curtains and that works just fine. Side room with bed has gorgeous view of the lake. Will definately be back!

Annual Vacation Getaway

We love our time up at Debbie's each year! The property is well taken care of and Debbie is very attentive to the needs of her guests. This past year they made amazing changes to the beach and added fresh sand and a couple additional water toys. Our entire family and all our friends had an incredible time paddle boarding, jumping off the platform, kayaking, and sitting lakeside listening to the loons.

Great Location on Pokegama

We had a great time at this cozy, open floorplan (bedrooms are open too) cabin. The cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The cabin is situated in a lovely bay and fishing off the dock was so fun. We rented a pontoon from R&R and were able to tie up to their dock for the week. Communication with Debra was great and she was genuinely concerned about our needs throughout our stay. Would book again.

What a fantastic place! Would give it more than 5 stars if I could. Amazing location and beautiful, cozy cabin. You could not ask for a better host - Debbie is so kind and has thought of everything to make her guests feel comfortable. We spent every possible minute in the water, and loved the water toys. The diving board was a huge hit with our group! This lake is beautiful and we especially loved visiting the sandbar Debbie recommended. Would love to stay here again. Thank you for a great stay!

A-A-Amazing

We traveled to Grand Rapids for the weekend with our dogs. This cabin is everything we wanted and more. Not only is the cabin perfect, there is plenty of privacy which worked great for our dogs. The lake is gorgeous and there is so much to do in Grand Rapids if you need to head into town. I also need to give kudos to the host, Debbie. Of all the places we’ve stayed, Debbie had the best communication. Debbie goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and your stay is enjoyable. This is one place I would visit again and again.

Awesome location!!! Great Amenities, and Debra is wonderful.

We absolutely LOVED staying here! Debra was awesome from the moment we checked in. The cabin was furnished with everything you would need, even down to the soft robes! The beach is so sandy, with a lot of chairs and fire pit. There were paddle boards and kayaks that we used. We cooked steaks on the grill one night with our other family members and then just enjoyed a nice evening on the deck. The bedrooms have the curtain doors, which was fine for us. They are still totally private. The one bed is overlooking the lake with windows all around. Debra has a great coffee bar set up, with several flavors of fresh beans to grind for coffee. Any questions we had were immediately answered. And the fact this is dog friendly was perfect for us! We will for sure rent this again next year!

Beautiful lake view! Sandy beach,clear water,nice variety of water toys,great host!

We had a very nice time. A few rainy days kept us inside so was nice to have such a variety of DVD's to choose from. Was not a huge fan of the steep hill to the lake,but still worth it. Would have been nice to have a regular drip coffee maker,as we hadn't a clue how to use what was available. I would suggest changing out the current futon,as it was extremely uncomfortable to sit on and also add an additional chair to the living room. The water line to the refrigerator leaked into the drawers and shelves, but we made due. An additional fry pan would of been nice. Other than that, I would definitely stay again! Thanks Debbie

i was a young child when my parents purchased land on Lake Pokegama. I am now a Great Grandmother. Every improvement has been a labor of love. Over the years, my children and grandchildren have planted trees, updated the cabin, and improved the beach. We are family. We use rental funds to continue upkeep and improvements.
With that being stated, I have loved the families that chosen to spend their vacations here. If you choose this vacation property, please write your experiences in the cabin and journal and leave feedback. I strive to make everything perfect for you.
We love pets, unfortunately, I have severe allergy to cats. Your dogs are so welcome. Please advise how many dogs you are bringing.

We do have neighbors and they are family also. Please keep noise down after 10 p as they do have two small children.
