Had a great time at this Cabin, so glad they had kayaks for us to take out onto the lake. Property was a bit secluded but that was perfect for us. Great stay and very kind people all around us.

Thanks for coming! Hope to have you back and that you have a wonderful rest of your summer!
Rustic cabin and a fine stay for a small family. Host was very responsive and flexible. She cleaned our bathroom right away when we noticed it was missed and allowed us to stay an extra night since we had a change of plans - super appreciated that! Loved the free kayaks, fishing poles, and corn hole. We were right on Lake Pokegama! Closer to everything :)
Listing is on point to what you see and get at cabin 2! Cute and comfortable place for a small group of friends to gather. Don’t forget your charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan to grill!
This was by far the best weekend vacay we've had. My husband, daughter and myself, with another family rented the cabin for the weekend. It was perfect, exactly as described. The wifi was excellent (although we told the kids there wasn't any) and my daughter gauche her first dish on their pontoon!!!!

Thank you for the nice review! We hope to have you back at Woodland Resort for years to come!
Check-in process/communication was easy. Location was quiet and peaceful. Dock area was nice though swimming isn't super easy with young children. Half of our party didn't end up staying at the cabin since there was paint peeling/cracking all over the cabin that was on the beds. Given the age of the cabin it is very likely lead paint as owner didn't indicate mitigation was ever completed. We had an infant so we couldn't risk putting paint flakes in her mouth.
When I arrived everything was ready to go, also the host allowed to check in early. Excellent parking with boat and unloading was a breeze. Once inside it was not quite what I expected as it was an older cabin with limited outlets. The beds were very comfortable and it had everything I needed. I did get a chance to chat with her and was made aware the we in the process of updating these cabins and mine a project yet started. The others were nice so for what I needed it was ok and everything else about my trip was great.
The description of this cabin is not accurately advertised. When we entered the cabin the back door of it was wide open. We soon found out that that door does not lock. There are windows that do not lock either. There is a hole in the ceiling of the living room and the paint is actively falling off the ceiling and in various other spots of the house. The heater is dented and does not easily to turn on. The gas line to the heater comes out of the floor near a walk way. The flooring around the gas line is lifted a few inches off the floor and cracking so you can see the sub flooring.
We did not feel comfortable having our dogs left in a cabin that does not lock while we attended a friends wedding. Let alone sleep in a cabin that does not properly lock. We ended up leaving after 1.5 hours and were fortunate enough to book a hotel on such short notice. The host is aware of all these issues with the cabin but does not list them in the description of this location.
We talked with VRBO & the host about these concerns and that we would not be staying in the cabin. The host told us that she has plans to renovate the cabin, but needs to have money to do so..
No frills charm is what we were looking for and what we got. Very quiet property that we were able to use entire space, great location being close to town, restaurants and boat launch. Able to use dock and boat house to store tube in for the evening and charge the boat. Sleeping with the windows open falling asleep and waking up to the loons calling coupled perfectly with a cool summer breeze.
Beautiful waterfront. Waterfront is well set up for boating, kayaks, swimming, or just viewing the lake. Cabins are 1960's resort looking. Could use sprucing up with new paint. The cabin worked well for us as did 2 others for a family reunion.
This cabin is located on a great part of Pokegama with a beautiful view of the lake. A nice yard with room for outdoor activities. Owner very responsive to any questions and helpful. It was a fantastic summer vacation!

Would not recommend !!
Cabin was wide open as if someone was already in there when we arrived. Cabin was caked with bugs, the sinks was coated and the windows were alive. Bugs hanging from the ceiling they were everywhere. Windows cakes in dirt, floors covered in dirt, furniture looked like it was picked up from the curb for free - filthy, grimy, ripped and worn, had to go buy blankets to cover it in order to feel comfortable sitting down. Hardly any outlets and most didn’t work. Toaster didn’t work, 2 of 4 burners didn’t work, oven barely heated up. Microwave was from 1970 and barely heated up. Toilet leaked at the base and wouldn’t flush. Smoke detectors were missing or empty. Doors wouldn’t lock or shut tight. Windows wouldn’t stay open without being propped. No AC. We had to go buy raid to tame the bugs and Lysol to disinfect everything. They left us with 1 roll of TP and 1 roll of paper towels and no notice that we needed to bring anything of our own except for towels. But our towels were used to mop up the leaking toilet. We had to go buy paper products. A group of atleast 20 young adults were up blaring music and partying all night with their tents up all over the property letting off fireworks. This same group also over took the dock so the kids could use it to swim off of. Cabin was listed to sleep 8 but only slept 6. Had to go Purchase bedding for the couch for our 7th sleeper. Fire pit is on a complete hill so it’s very uncomfortable to sit around tilted. Access to the lake is an extreme incline which was very hard for elderly. The only plus of this stay was that the water was shallow, clear and sandy for the kids to swim and a nice sand bar wasn’t too far away, and the bedding and pillows were new. Save your money. Stay somewhere else! We were talked to by the property manager several times for using his football, tubing rope, etc. all things that were in the boat house that we were told we had access to. Tried to get our cleaning fee refunded due to needing to disinfect and clean the entire gross cabin ourselves but received a response of ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about!’ We would not recommend it ever stay again.

Our host was fantastic and extraordinarily communicative. The cabin was so clean and comfy with a lovely view of the lake, a nice porch, and a kitchen. We were allowed to use kayaks that were at the site, and provided with guidance on best places to eat. Everything was so clean and well kept, and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you to our host!
