Holiday House "Alla Marina" a stone's throw from the sea - Cetara

"Alla marina" holiday home is located in Cetara, a characteristic seaside village nestled between the slopes of Mount Falerio and the Gulf of Salerno and renowned for its tradition of tuna fishermen as well as for the anchovy sauce, the so-called "garum" of the ancient Romans.
Cetara is the ideal destination for food and wine lovers.

Holiday house "Alla Marina" can organize horseback riding on reservation (ask for information for the cost) from April to September at a farmhouse in the nearby town of Albori where, in addition, it will be possible to stop to enjoy an excellent lunch in the restaurant of the structure - partner .

Check in 14 / Check out 10.30 for arrival and departure times other than those indicated must be agreed with the owner].

The apartment, renovated in 2015, is 60 square meters and can accommodate up to a maximum of 5 people.

It consists of:
- bedroom with double bed, single bed and balcony with sea view on the main street
- living room / entrance with bunk bed and sofa
- kitchen
- bathroom with shower

It also has two air conditioners, LED TV, Wifi connection, kitchen with 4 gas burners, electric oven, fridge, dishes and detergents, washing machine, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

The supply of towels and bed linen is provided for stays of less than or equal to one week.

Paid municipal parking a few meters away or a different alternative to be agreed with the owner.

The property enjoys an optimal position, only a few meters from the sea and the main services (bus stop, bank, pharmacy, post office, restaurants, pubs, bars ...).

Wonderful location

Magdalena was so wonderful. She was very responsive and helpful. The location was stunning and the short walk to the beach and ferry made this an ideal place! We hope to come back soon!!

Impeccable apartment and the BEST location

I can’t say enough about how much we LOVED our stay here. Maddalena is an amazing host and the apartment is so incredibly clean and comfortable. Its location is optional and if you are looking for a place on amalfi coast - Cetara provides a convenient access to many points. Plus right across the street id the ferry and boat rides. Hands down best B&B ever! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Italian Vacation

Property was very comfortable for our family of 4. The location was right on the main street across from the beach. The only downside was it was a little loud into the night, but it was right there where the action was. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.

Best little town on Amalfi Coast

Perfect in every respect. I wanted a fishing village, not a tourist town, and Cetarra was ideal. Maddalena was very responsive during our stay. She even sent her father once to help because she couldn’t! Food was the best on the entire coast. Highly recommend.

Clean, spacious apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maddalena's apartment. She was very gracious and helpful. The apartment is very clean, plenty of room and well-equipped. We were a little cold at times, but I think most will stay here in warmer weather so it wouldn't be a problem. All in all, a great stay in a nice little town.

Wonderful apartment

The apartment is in the best location and Cetara is a lovely little town. Great restaurants, small shops and cafes just outside the door. The kids loved the playground and beach opposite. The apartment is a good size and really well equipped with all you need. Maddalena was super helpful and always responded quickly to our questions. You can get the ferry a few minutes walk away at the port which takes you to several places including Amalfi. We loved our stay and would recommend it.

Amazing Maddalena and Cetara

Maddalena is one of the kindness people I have ever met and went above and beyond to help us during our stay in Cetara. I can’t thank her enough. The apartment is perfect and wonderful. Cetara is the best town on Amalfi. Book Maddalenas apartment as soon as you can as it will book up quickly. I can’t recommend it enough !

Maddalena was awesome - no doubt the best hostess I have encountered after many years of travel and vrbo rentals. Nothing was too much trouble - she even drove us up to an out of the way farmhouse for a delightful dinner so we didn’t have to pay for a taxi. Perfect location also for anyone who does not relish the thought of climbing hundreds of steps with groceries etc. Cetara was a delight, way nicer than the other tourist filled glitzy Amalfi coast towns. This just for an FYI is written by someone who has never yet written a review!

Ideal Amalfi Coast getaway .......

We have just spent a lovely 5 days in Maddalena's spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped apartment. The location is perfect with the ferry to Amalfi and Positano and other local towns just on the doorstep. We enjoyed out visits to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello but were always pleased to return to our charming and comfortable apartment and the lovely village atmosphere of Cetara. Here we could escape from the huge crowds of tourists in Amalfi itself and relax on our balcony overlooking the sea. Maddalena was amazing from our first contact with her through to her meeting us on arrival and her gracious offer to assist with parking for our car. Maddalena and the apartment exceeded all our expectations for our stay in Cetara. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxing stay on the Amalfi coast and would love to be able to return sometime in the future.

Enjoyable

We truly enjoyed our stay. Communication and checkin was seamless. The apartment was clean, spacious and location is perfect, the ferry just steps away, as well as restaurants and groceries. If you’re visiting Ravello take the red bus from Amalfi, you’re guaranteed a seat and it’s the same fare. Cetera location was much preferable than Conca di Marini where we stayed six months ago. Maddalena’s apartment does not have the hundreds of steps found on other Amalfi locations, a big plus if you’re a little “older”. And if you’re looking for ceramics go to Vietri, prices much better than Positano. Maddalena also arranged early transfer to the train station for us on our departure, so very helpful and much appreciated. Overall the apartment worked very well for us and would highly recommend.

Perfect Holiday House

Staying in tis wonderful apartment was one of our best vacations ever. Maddelena was the perfect hostess. My phone did not work in Italy but Maddelena checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed. I had made an error in booking and again she came to our rescue and allowed us to stay an extra night. We absolutely loved the apartment! The location could not have been better. It is in the building closest to the sea and very few steps to the second floor. We had a wonderful view and loved to sit on the balcony and watch the daily activity of this lovely town. The bed was so comfortable that we wish we could buy the same one. Everything was super clean and we had everything we needed for our week stay. Cetara is a lovely town with many great restaurants. Since it is smaller it is extremely convenient to everything. The pizza restaurant below the apartment has excellent pizza and there was a lovely girl that that worked there that would smile and wave every time we walked by. From Cetara it is very easy to visit any of the other towns on the Amalfi coast by ferry and much faster than taking the bus. It was always a pleasure to get back to our spacious and quiet apartment. Thank you so much Maddelena for being such a gracious host. We can't wait to return and stay here.

Old World Italy

Cetara is a very different experience from the crowded tourist towns along the Amalfi Coast. Here you can experience the life of the locals and still have easy access to all Amalfi Coast towns by bus or ferry. Alla Marina is perfectly located and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Maddalena is a wonderful hostess, fully committed to her guests having a wonderful holiday. Lovely apartment

We only stayed for two nights, but they were wonderful. The apartment is clean and fairly simple - perfect for our needs. And Maddalena was a very kind host. As other reviewers noted, it was great to just hop on a ferry a few steps from the apartment to get to other towns on the Amalfi coast. The ferries are so much better/easier than the SITA bus system (which we did not have a good experience with). Thank you, Maddalena!

Super Host!!

This apartment was perfect! Steps away from the ferries that take you to the amalfi coast, very tasty restaurants. She had everything we needed including toiletries, hair dryer, plugs, toaster, etc. She helped us when we needed help! She even helped us get a driver to take us back to the train station! I can’t thank her enough! Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much! You were the sweetest host ever!

Our stay at Maddalena’s seaside apartment was amazing! She picked us up from the bus station and delivered us to a quaint but very old apartment above one of the best pizza/Italian restaurants ever. Our balcony overlooked the main street activity of Cetara and also over the fishing boats and the Mediterranean Sea. We stayed there a week and experienced life that is old Italy along the Amalfi coast. The apartment had a nice bathroom and kitchen as well as large sleeping area with extra room in the form of car. We were afforded much spices or oils, fruit and other items in the kitchen. The bathroom was equipped with washer, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and so much more! We met many people throughout the week along with a very old family type of shops… vegetable and fruit vendors, restaurant owners, and th folks at the butcher and seafood shop. We spent many hours on the balcony watching comings and going‘s charming fishing village. There were also very inexpensive ferries to Amalfi, Maoeria, Positano, Capri etc. And don’t miss visiting the Church in town, which faithfully rung the bells each day at various times. It was just wonderful. Finally, Maddalena was warm and welcoming and really took care of our every need to ensure a comfortable stay. If you really want to experience Italy on the Amalfi coast, don’t hesitate to explore Cetara and Maddalena’s wonderful seaside apartment!!!

Excellent apartment in a superb location

Our stay in Cetara was the favourite part of our holiday. Maddalena's apartment was in perfect condition and better equipped in every way than any other place we stayed during our three week trip. From laundry soap to bag closures to pots and pans, her home had everything we could want. Her care and attention was also notable: one evening we ran out of gas while preparing a meal and Maddalena somehow managed to have the tank replaced in less than an hour. We were amazed and grateful! The location is ideal for both visiting the beach and strolling through the town. We also loved being able to have a meal on the terrace and enjoy the view of the sea and the people of Cetara. Further regarding Cetara, the people were very friendly and kind. We got to know the guys at Punto e Pasta and also one of the frutta e verdure shopkeepers. He would recognise us as we walked in and offer a warm "buongiorno!" Things like that made special memories for us from Cetara. Accurate description. Clean, well-maintained home. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

Amazing place!

Recently stayed in Cetara for (4) nights and had an amazing time. By far it was my favorite city on the Amalfi coast and a lot of that had to do with this little amazing apartment. It's right in the heart of downtown and 10 steps to the ocean! The apartment was spacious and comfortable and we loved sitting out the on balcony enjoying a glass of wine and looking at the ocean. The best part about the apartment is the owner (Maddalena) -- she is SO sweet and very welcoming. We had trouble with our wifi one day and she came down an hour later to fix it! I can't say enough good stuff about this apartment and the little town -- looking forward to coming back :)

Darling place in an incredible city.

Cetara is a fantastic and darling town on the Mediterranean and this property was just sweet and cozy and clean. With a balcony overlooking the main downtown, you are close to all the cafe’s and markets. The cuisine in Cetara is absolutely special, Alici dishes (anchovies) and bring home some Colatura (Alici sauce). The property was prestinely maintained and the property manager so helpful when we arrived! Our children loved the town and our place (their bunk beds were perfect!) Friendly locals and amazing views. We will definitely come back and visit again soon. A favorite property of ours!! Grazie Maddalena per auito.

Great quiet, non touristy place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. Very clean and modern.

We had a great stay at this property. We loved how small and quiet the town is. The property owner, Maddalena, was very helpful and attentive to all our needs. My husbands luggage was lost at the airport and he had needed medication in it. Maddalena called the airport and got us needed medication and eventually gave us the good news that our luggage had been found. We would love to return to the Amalfi Coast to explore more someday and would definitely stay here.

Great short visit to Cetara

We had a wonderful time in beautiful and calm Cetara during our trip around Amalfi cost. Maddalena is a wonderful host, very carrying, helpful, kind and very nice person. She allowed us to stay one night only with late checkout, that works perfectly with our trip itinerary. She helped us with street parking: accompanied our car to and from uptown. She helped us with all our questions before arrival and during our stay. Apartment is very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything for a pleasant stay. Our little son enjoyed playing on the bunk bed. It is a couple of steps from a beach, sea port, a little park with children playground, cafes and restaurants and groceries. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Maddalena!

Io e mia moglie siamo stati ospiti della struttura, e ci siamo trovati benissimo. L' appartamento è spazioso e funzionale, provvisto di ogni comfort e con finiture nuovissime. e' situato in un punto comodo e accessibile nel borgo di Cetara, a due passi da porto e spiaggia. Bellissima vista mare compresa.I servizi sono tutti a portata di mano, basta uscire fuori di casa per trovare Ristoranti, BAR e negozi. La proprietaria è stata gentilissima , disponibile e attenta a tutte le nostre esigenze.Se capiteremo nuovamente a Cetara torneremo volentieri "ALLA MARINA".
