You think to yourself, “Self, I need to get to the beach”. I hope you have thought of Gulf Shores, AL. What used to be one of those “greatest secret” destinations is now well known but still unspoiled. Take a look at this really cute 1 bedroom*1 ½ bath condo at 1988 West Beach Blvd in Gulf Shores, AL. Summer House West is one of those complexes that have fit Gulf Shores for many years. It just feels like Gulf Shores. Our unique city has water in many directions. At our complex you will have the beautiful beaches directly across the street from you. However, you have the absolutely gorgeous Little Lagoon directly behind us. The lagoon, which is like a lake, links up to both the Gulf and Mobile Bay further to the west.
Our condo has the feel of the beach, a feeling of elegance and the comfortable touches of home. Whether sitting inside viewing the lagoon or enjoying the balcony while drinking coffee, reading, napping, enjoying one another’s company you will love the serene view of the lagoon. Taking long walks on the beach across from us will be a treat. It is quiet down here so there are probably lots of shells to find. A sunrise or sunset to view. If you like to walk, run or bike you will love the roads by us. No traffic to speak of.
Things to know about the condo: There is 1 bedroom which has a king bed. The bathroom is in the bedroom. There is a half bath also in the hallway. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room to use. The condo will sleep 2-4 people. The maximum is 4. The kitchen is very modern with stainless appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen is outfitted with almost anything you may need while on vacation. No need to bring your house to the beach. There is wifi and it is also free. You will find the network name and password inside the condo when you arrive. There is also a washer/dryer in the condo for your convenience.
Summer House West is directly across the street from the beach. Our beach access is approximately 30 yards to the east of the entrance to our complex. There is a sign at the access displaying the complex name and is in between 2 beach houses. This is a deeded access. Beaches in Alabama are all public beaches. You can set up wherever you like once you are on the beach.
We have 1 parking space for 1 vehicle. There is no overflow parking so 1 vehicle is the max and you are given a parking pass when you arrive. There is no charge for the parking pass. There is 1 flight of stairs to the condo and stairs are right next to our assigned B202 parking spaces
**Hurricane Sally in 2020 damaged the Gulf State Park Pier and is only partially open.
There is a Welcome Book in the condo that will give you lots of info regarding your stay in Gulf Shores and general condo information. You will find many local flavor restaurants to try right here in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. All of the chain restaurants are in close-by Foley which adjoins Gulf Shores. No shortage of shopping either with a Tanger Outlet in Foley. There is big amusement park called OWA in Foley that is operating most all months of the year along with restaurants and entertainment onsite.
This is a strictly non-smoking - non vaping and no pet unit.
