Starlink provides fast and relaiable wifi and internet connection. Outside you'll find horseshoes or play a few rounds of frisbee golf on the course surrounding the cabin. And of course, bring your hiking shoes and hike to the top of Robins Peak and see incredible views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains to the south and pikes peak to the north. Please remember to drink lots of warter, it'll help prevent altitude sickenss if you're not used to the arid climate and altitude.

This was an amazing cabin with outstanding views! It was quiet and so relaxing. Everything was perfect and clean. My husband and I came up for a well needed break and it checked all the boxes. We will definitely be back!
The cabin was perfect and just what we needed to get away for a little while! Perfect location with lots of space for the kiddos to play outside around the cabin.
Great views! Loved the pool table. Was concerned about water usage.

Thanks for staying at Robins Roost and your review. Since installing the reserve holding tank in 2020 water usage has not been a problem, The Reminders are there for larger groups and I apologize if they kept you from enjoying your stay to the fullest.
Eric was so kind and patient with us and we could tell he put a lot of work and dedication into making the cabin beautiful and comfortable. Everything was clean, there were extras of everything and stuff we even forgot at home! The property was beautiful and we really can’t wait to come back.
This was the best experience I’ve had , wonderful communication with host and the peacefulness of the cabin and outdoors was amazing! Sunsets and Sunrises were unforgettable. Will be coming back

Thanks for your kind comments and you’re welcome back anytime. Come back when the aspens are turning, and the moose are roaming in the yard!
This cabin is secluded! Just what we needed! We saw lots of wildlife. The game room is awesome! I played pool every night. It was a fantastic get away!
Beautiful cabin with lots of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The cabin has everything you could possibly need. We especially enjoyed the pool table and watching the wildlife from the front porch. We will be back!
This was a perfect spot for us to spend a few days in the woods! We spent time in the area hiking and biking and retreated to the cabin otherwise. It was perfectly stocked, comfortable, and had great views of the area and wildlife! Communication was great. Will be back again!
This was a great place for a weekend getaway for my wife and I. A nice drive down to the dunes while having great access to Canon City, Salida, Royal Gorge, etc.
And Eric was a very communicative host.
The view was amazing! The home was cozy! We were able to relax and enjoy every bit of this home. It snowed a lot and the host was very kind and checked in with us to make sure we made it and had the best experience.
The cabin was just as listed. They had everything we needed, and my kids loved the Christmas decor as we were there over the holiday. Would definitely stay again!
I lost Robin my best friend and marriage partner of 27 years to cancer in July 2019. This part of Colorado was our favorite place to visit and relax so I purchased this cabin as a permanent place to retreat and relax and for friends and family to come and "roost" for awhile.
Why they chose this property
If you're looking for a quiet place to get away, far enough away to escape and close enough to enjoy Colorado's adventures this is the place. A real log cabin with modern facilities that's not overly fancy or overly expensive but clean, cozy and welcoming.
What makes this property unique
The cabin is located 9.5 straight north of Cotopaxi. Take state road 12 (across the street from the Cotopaxi General Store) 4 miles on paved road. Turn left on Spruce Basis Rd just before the cattle guard (if you cross the cattle guard you've gone too far!) and travel 5.5 miles on county (gravel) road staying on Spruce Basin then Basin Dr. The county road is maintained. The driveway to Robin's Roost is short but may require a 4X4 to navigate uphill driveway during winter/snowy months.
