Golden Log House above the Valley

Perched on the East side of the Columbia Valley, our Golden Log home is perfect for a relaxing family vacation or a group of friends on ski or bike/hike holiday. The large West facing deck, boast sunshine all day with stunning views of the valley and the Purcell Mountains. The house, located only a few minutes from Golden, has 4 bedrooms and a large basement with indoor garage, perfect for storing all your gear after a day on the trails.
To ensure the safety of our guests we have added extra precaution to avoid the spread of COVID 19. In addition to the strict cleaning guidelines already in place, we are also including additional preventative measures; more time between reservations (over 24 hours between Check outs and Check ins), increasing our focus on cleaning and disinfecting high touch areas such as door handles, lights switches, handrails, kitchen and bathroom faucets, doorknobs on kitchen and bathroom cupboards and appliances. We will be following the recommendation of all major health agencies including BCCDC and PHAC to encourage all visitors and staff to regularly was hands using soap and water. Disinfecting wipes, soap by sinks and hand sanitizer will all be readily available for our guests during their stay.

Great house! Loved the deck. Plenty of room. Beds were not the comfiest and we would've appreciated more than 1 towel each for 5 days. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.

Peace and quiet

We enjoyed our stay at the Golden log home. It was the perfect location for our travels to the National Parks in the area. Charlotte was a perfect host, checking to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay.

Golden area was golden

The cabin is set back in the woods. It is a very well-appointed property that we enjoyed tremendously. I would recommend that others use this cabin for a vacation in the future.

The Heart of Canada mountain

After long days of skiing it was a real home to go back to. With all the comforts plus the warmth of a log cabin , we felt being in the heart of Canada mountains.

Great views

This property has a great view of the mountains and is very well-kept and stocked with wood. The host was so helpful with other non-stay challenges we had as well. Snowfall was insane while we were there, but it was cleared daily!

Log cabin retreat

Beautiful log cabin located just outside of Golden B.C. Lovely view of the mountains. Was very quite after work hours, work on the road was occuring so there were trucks up and down the road during the day but not horrible since we were out for most of the day. Would rent again if in Golden

Great Log House

Beautiful home, enjoyed our stay. I would recommend a hair dryer for one of the bathrooms and non stick frying pans. But overall it was very comfortable.

Lovely Private and Quiet Property

The house was exactly as described and photos are up to date. The host provided many amenities that most rental properties do not have such as toiletries, coffee & filters, and paper products. The house was spotless and the private location can't be beat. I highly recommend this property!

Gorgeous house, wonderful experience

Small issue was resolved over the weekend by the excellent support of the owner/property manager. They were very responsive and helped us resolve the issue so that we could fully relax during our stay. We had a wonderful time staying here at this gorgeous location, and hopefully we'll get the chance to visit again!

We enjoyed ourselves tremendously however we would recommend that the house be cleaned more thoroughly. We were unable to use the tv the first day because the correct remote was under the sofa. If we had known there were a total of 4 remotes, we'd have searched closer.

Wonderful mountain cabin

Very clean and spacious, very quiet. Beautiful view from deck for the morning and evening and night time star gazing. Milky Way can been seen with lights out! Close to Yoho National park where we and friends did a week of hiking. Charlotte is very communicative in answering questions and what we need. High recommend!

Der Aufenthalt in dem Blockhaus hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen.Wir genossen die Ruhe und hatten Glück mit dem Wetter. Das ganze Haus ist bestens ausgestattet.Haben 2 gegrillt und die Abende auf der Terasse genossen.Ein besonderer Dank an Charlotte,denn sie kam bei einer Frage sofort angefahren.Vielen lieben Dank für die schönen vier Tage.

Fantastic Stay

Fantastic house! Very clean, well equipped with all the essential kitchen items, fantastic grill and overall very comfortable. Loved the wood burning wood stove! Great view in a beautiful, private setting that was easy to get to. Would absolutely stay again! Owner was responsive and checked in multiple times to make sure we were doing well and make sure we had no issues. Golden was 11 min away and was a great town for food and activities. Look forward to coming back!!
